I have a rarity, a 5 C-Cell Maglite with the Krypton bulbs and it shines bright as ever…Bought this Maglite new and so far I haven’t been able to find another like it…Cheer’s
Nice videos. Interesting that you too are drawn to an ML25. It just has great throw stats and a nice spill for night walking with better grip than most 18650s. As for the classic C; go for an easily sourced 10w halogen for some retro. I grabbed a tired, ex-police model from eBay, polished it back to bright alu and it looks super. I wish I’d ROPd that over my 2D but didn’t want to cut the old C switch up to fit the soft start and bi pin adapter (5761). On your point of resistor mods, you can still buy the CPF noted SL12 NTCs cheaply in the UK

5 Cell bulbs (6V) overdrive nicely on 2x 18650s. Even 4 Cell (4.8V) bulbs can be overdriven for an Ultra White thrower but very short bulb life.
