Mt Hood Summit: Sunshine Route

Scott and I climbed the north side of Mt Hood, up the Sunshine Route, and down the South-side, all the way to Government Camp. It was a long day with over 8000 ft of climbing and over 15 miles (this would be 11 miles normally). Conditions were excellent and we had an epic adventure!

yea, its my favorite part of the summit ridge, and to get it untouched was pretty sweet!

Very awesome climb and video. Suprised you got such artistic shots while doing an intense climb. You must have done Hood many times. I am just doing some research on Hood to eventually climb it. Very cool channel I will stay tuned for more.

Pretty sweet!! Could you take that route in early October?

I don't think so. The Glacier would be difficult and very hard ice in October, but besides that I think the Bergschrund gets pretty impassible, but I could be wrong. I would not recommend climbing any route on Hood in October personally
