Your mullet is on point bro, im jealous af!
Wow, thanks
Dude, that traction control toggle setting is a GAME CHANGER for GT4 and GT3 racing. Thanks! Now I wish I wouldn't get a 2x "Loss of control" for whipping the car back 180 degrees.
I was doing a "Battle of the little wings" on the Skippy. I had a tough time keeping it from spinning. Then I remembered the tire sound tip. It was such a complete gamechanger. Especially with this kind of car that is all about being close to but not exceeding the tire limits.
lowering everything except tire noise has helped me a ton. Did not realize there was an additional setting in the camera section. Thank yo uthis was super helpful.
Great to hear!
Never knew the first camera F12 camera menu/ how to save FOV per each car.
Just earned a sub brother. Thank you I have been looking for this for a long time.
omg dude u are a life saver with your camera settings with all cars .. i knew about Ctl12 but i didn't know about each car setting i didnt even know that i can go to the other manu hahah
lol, until not too long ago neither did I...
Champion video Man, this channel should have a lot more subscribers
Very helpful, especially the TC toggle and tire sounds tips. Thanks a lot!
That TC tip blew my mind especially for fixed series!
My pleasure! The tire noise tip helped me a ton a few years ago, now at days it's a must for me
@@DoriN12 I couldn't get my button assignment to activate. Made sure it was on a later car that should have TC. Please help. Thanks.
Really good work, complete and clear !
This channel is the best on CZcams. Thanks for everything you do.
Wow, thank you!
Oh wow i was always struggling with moving the UI elements wich i could not see! Thanks for this great video again!
Happy to help!
I'm pretty sure the "automatic shot selection" is for replay cameras if disabled it will not change cam during playback
If you want to save the onboard cam for driving use "save car" it will create a file for each car automaticaly
Excellent video, your tips are very useful
Great tips to employ, thank you for sharing.
Cheers, thanks for watching 🙂
Thanks by the info, Dori.
You bet!
Fantastic video
I’ve been trying to find a video about the UI move to triples! Thanks 🙂
Happy to help!
am i missing something cuz my dont want to move 😕 and i set it to one and still cant move ut and all the widgets dont appear?
Hi Dori very interresting. Can you make a video to explain how to setup the shift horizon and the cockpit to have better sensation
Shift horizon needs to be set so that the horizon is level with your eyes. Simple as that.
What Chad said 🙂
Also, I never played around with it enough to know what the "bulletproof" settings are. I try to keep these videos narrowed down to subjects I know enough about..
@@DoriN12 I tried to adjust left-right head swivel cockpit view as you showed, but still can only look straight ahead. Please clarify how to activate this feature. Are you using VR?
Yeah how I’m sitting now I have it set different than how it was before so there’s no precise number for everyone, your height matters too but if you want it more realistic it definitely is not the default iracing has unless you want to be looking down the whole time. I’d say somewhere between -8 and -14 depending on what is level with your eyes, there’s a red line that pops up which is the horizon line.
Great video, can you please make a video about breaking? Your setup up and any tips or tricks on how to get better and more consistent
And in addition: brake bias settings please!
I'm working on something like that, will take me some time to complete but it's on my to-do list for sure.
Super helpful video!!
Cheers!
thanks for this tips mate :)
You bet!
I back a couple comments here…. Could you do something about adjusting the cameras to what we should be seeing and also a video about tyre lose traction noise (best way I can explain). Another great video and your track guides always help me gain a couple seconds
Regarding camera angel it's all very setup specific, your distance from the screen and type of screen are the factors to take into consideration when setting it up, therefore I can't tell you what the best settings are. Happy you like my guides dude, cheers!
@@DoriN12 I understand FOV stuff but I’m taking about how high the dash should be, how much of the cockpit Left and right you should see cause you can adjust FOV and then adjust the camera view
increasing tire noise is great, but I'm not sure the mic-gain works like you say
when I move mine down, it lowers everything (wind noise etc included)
You might be right Will 😅
But with how I set it up, the wind noise is so low anyways that even when I turn up the mic gain I don't really hear it.
What wheel rotation do people use? Very helpful vid. Thanks
Just use whatever it gives you as default after syncing, should be 900. From there, iRacing will adapt it per car.
Any hacks to learn to drive quicker with w12 f1 car?
Just brake later 😁
I’ve been looking for first and second video?? I can’t find them on the channel?
It's in the description (:
So question old wise one, do screeching tyres mean you need to back off? As I'm sure I remember a streamer once upon a time say you need to be able to push them that far to get the maximum from them.
It isn't binary. The tires will always make noise, more so the closer you get to the limit. The specific sound of the limit (and over the limit) will vary depending on the speed of the corner, the track surface, and the car you're driving. This is why Dorian said it will take a while to get used to. :)
@@TheOfficialOriginalChad Little surprised to hear you say they always make a noise, can't say I'd ever noticed tyre noise in iRacing. But then saying that I've never once adjusted the sound to the point where I could hear it easily over the engine.
As Chad mentioned, it's not an 'on or off' situation, I use tire noise to know when I'm over/under driving the car. If it feels like I'm tearing them apart I will seek out a more conservative line for the corner and vise versa.
I noticed in the advanced camera bit that you had your Offset X (forward/back) setting at 0.270, which is very far forward. Is this how you like it or just how you had it in the clip for an example? Asking because it's one setting I've played around with the most. Sitting far forward it helps to get a clear view of the road and I find it easier to be more precise. But then it can change the way rotation feels in the car. I've got it at zero now and it does feel like understeer and oversteer are a little more natural. But I don't know if that's just in my head. I do prefer the view when sitting closer though. Especially in the 911 GT3R where you only have a narrow letterbox to look through otherwise. Do you muck about with the Offset X much? Have any thoughts about it?
I just try and get my wheel in the same position as the real cars wheel. I’ll just see how far away things are using the gyro cam to look around the cockpit. Basically I try and make the stuff in front of me look like it would if I was sitting in the real car. I drive the LMP2 a lot and sit very far forward because I sit very close to my monitor and the pillars in the car start basically right where the wheel ends
@@robertemerson2777 0 seems to work ok for that for the most part I think. That's a good point though. I remember when I ran the 488 GT3 around 0.250 (right forward) that look left/right looked a bit off because I was sat so far forward. It's not just a zoom to see the track better. It's literally going full granny mode with chin on the wheel.
Yeah I always set my 'seat' as far forward as possible, just an old Gran Turismo habit of using hood cam I guess lol
Honestly though, each setup is different so I can't really recommend anything specific, I like sitting forward as possible with around 76 fov for my 40' TV.
@@DoriN12 Fair enough. I guess hood cam is where I'm coming from too.
@@layingblacklines I’m assuming that’s only because you don’t have triples. If you look at anyone with triples their middle screen will look like that granny cam you described
And where is previous videos with hacks?))
Thanks for this video!)
This is episode 3 of 'How To Get Better At iRacing'
FFB wheels make it easy to catch a slide
i got my setup to be as realistic as it can.. cant imagine people changing fov or stuff to be faster must be sad..
HA! Beat the discord ping
damnit.
we need more hacks lol 😆
Coming soon 😅
It’s a lie number one iracing hack is me! I’m a total hack
Fantastic video
Thanks! 😃
