@@MutedAndReported3032 “tone deaf” can refer to the inability to find the proper notes in music but it can also mean that the person in question is doing something opposite to the tone around them.
Like another example for that would be a stand up comedian telling jokes at a funeral.
Anyone else remember the Doritos commercial where a kid builds a fake Time Machine in order to steal some guy’s chips, and then the old man neighbor comes out, chases off the kid, and the guy then thinks he’s now in the future? That was always my favorite

Super Bowl ads is like "let's make the most edgy humor possible" challenge between companies.
So I looked it up and the Budweiser apologybot commercial was indeed banned from being shown before the 2007-2008 superbowl. However, Budweiser made more of them apparently? And those ones were banned from being shown as well. Pretty odd.

That Groupon ad is such "Oh no! ANYWAY" energy...wow. So the context for the Mr. Peanut one is in a teaser leading up to the Super Bowl, Mr. Peanut and two friends were driving through a desert when they nearly hit an armadillo but swerved to avoid it and it sent them and the Nutmobile flying and the three ending up dangling above a canyon from a branch. To save his two friends, Mr. Peanut chose to let go. The pregame spot first aired on January 22, 2020, just four days before Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash. People hated it at first because they got rid of the mascot, but hated it even more after what happened to Kobe. So it was very poorly timed. Also, a Doberman-Chihuahua mix is indeed a thing called a Doberchi but they're relatively new.

He's an anthropomorphic peanut man that wears a top hat and a monocle. lol Which makes that whole ad even more freaking weird....like you're making an ad about your peanut man advertising mascot dying? I'd love to hear the story about how that happened.
Doritos fun fact: They were invented in Disneyland! When Disneyland first opened, there was a Mexican restaurant called Casa de Fritos. The food at Casa de Fritos was a fusion of traditional Tex-Mex and Fritos-inspired innovations, such as a Frito Chili Pie. All non-Fritos ingredients served at Casa de Fritos like the tortillas and fresh produce were supplied by Alex Foods. One day, an Alex Foods salesman noticed that Casa de Fritos was tossing unused tortillas in the trash at the end of each day. He suggested that the cook cut the surplus tortillas into triangles, deep fry them, and season them in the style of a Zapotec Mexican snack called totopos. Thus, the Dorito was born. Though the restaurant didn't tell Frito-Lay about it until 1964 when a marketing VP visited.

Fun fact! The walter guy with the glasses in the Go Daddy commercial is well known for being an extra in multiple sources of media. I specifically remember him in Simple Plans "I'm Just a Kid" as like the band geek! And he got a hot kiss from Garcia on Criminal minds haha
The guy from the Planters commercial that takes off his glasses looks like it might be him as well.

I am so distracted by that guy with the curly hair in the GoDaddy commercial, I swear he is that same background actor who was in the first Tobey McGuire Spider-Man film, in the scene where Peter and Flash are fighting in the school hallway, this dude shows up in that scene behind MJ
This is why I love Super Bowl Commercials. Normally the Company when making an ad has to make sure the customer knows what their product is and what it does in a short 30 sec to 1 min ad. While in a Super Bowl Ad the Company can just go Batshit crazy and make something that's gonna be Meme Material or just straight up Cursed
