Welcome to another watch review. In this video, we take a closer look of the newly released 41mm Rolex Submariner 126610LV aka Kermit or Cermit (or Starbucks or whatever you want to call it). We also compare it to its green predecessor the Rolex Submarienr Hulk 116610LV.

I like the Hulk. A variation that would be a twist on the discussion would be a black bezel and a green dial. THAT would be special.
The new case looks more balanced for the case size. The longer clasp isn’t a problem, it’s barely noticeable.
I think the Cermit is the more classier of the two. Discreetly looking a bit better. Nice video guys.
The hulk is sooo unique… the new LV is amazing but still that dial on the Hulk is stunning

I must say I’m a Kermit guy. The pop between black and green is sick.
The new LV is a wonderful improvement
I first owned a maxi case Sub-Date and followed the hype getting the new 41mm LN and LV. Traded both back to 116610LN and LV because - in my opinion - the 40mm maxi case is my absolute favourite shape with better proportions. Also the new movements/rotor are fairly loud.

Own unique nickname! It’s a green ceramic dial Kermit (Aluminum) yes but Cermit isn’t the way to go.
I will never understand all the whinging about the Sub's lugs...the 116610 is the first generation of the six digit reference so it is unsophisticated, rash, bold, unrefined and uncouth, and we may never see another tank of a Sub like this again...
Lets hope.
and that's why the super cases will continue to hodl. I agree the new designs are much more mature and sophisticated, but the 116610LV / LN will serve as a reminder of the 2010's puberty of big watches trends. Like a landmark of the decade! history in the present! Enjoy.

I also did this review in September, right after I got my Kermit 126610LV. I prefer my Hulk.

Strange how the Hulk looks larger, which looks better in my opinion.
Loved the Hulk at first sight online, saw it in person and that all went away. Total opposite experience between that and the Pepsi and Batman on jubilee.

To me, it isn't close. That said, I work for certain well known environmental company, the logo color of which, is green. More green is better for me, thus - Hulk.

Nice review.. How do you guys think the Cermit/Starbucks (126610LV) stacks up against the original Kermit (16610LV) aesthetically, ie, visually, and which would you feel more comfortable wearing often or daily, meaning which one would you worry less about having on your wrist a lot?

Aleks speaking here, so I would definately go for the 16610LV. Why? Well it fits my wrists better.
However the new Cermit looks really good, has the new calibre, ceramic insert etc.

Hulk. Best of the two.
I remember the time when the batman the original was costing 13k usd and hulk was at 11k usd. Wasnt that sunburst dial hulk at that time and wasnt that wholly green bla bla. As i get from the many comments , people prone to flatter which watch hypes more and suddenly they start to be fan of it . Concerning on these two watches and as an owner of both , i always get new starbucks at any day. Cuz the dial is clean and pops , less green detail is more versatile than hulk. Hulk is a sunny day watch but garish dial it has. You fed up in time exactly. Beside that in home or in office the sunburst dial fade neither be green nor black. So dont tend to follow the hype. I m so sure if tomorrow hulk prices drop to 15k usd , many will start to be crazy on starbucks and they ll assert it s more versatile , better movement , better lugs case etc 😄

I don’t know why they don’t call it the Green Lantern. We have Batman, Batgirl, Hulk, Smurf, why not Green Lantern? It has a green ring (bezel) and it keeps the superhero motif.

I hate the nickname Starbucks lol that ruins the watch for i don’t know why it just does plus the hulk is just a better looking.
In camera, somehow the Cermic looks smaller than the Hulk when you put them side by side. The Cermic has grown on me.
Cermit had more slim lugs and wears nicer on the wrist

Market performance says it all. Starbucks and cookie monster have dropped in price. Smurf and Hulk steadily going up. The black dial 41mm were a weak move by Rolex
Surely this is because both the Smurf and Hulk were discontinued...?
@@realyoungsta the black bezel GMT was discontinued too. Doesn’t mean it trades above the Pepsi or the Batman. Most people just don’t want to spend 40k on a white gold sub that looks like a standard sub with a blue Frankenstein bezel. Same goes for the Starbucks, just a standard sub with a green bezel. How boring!
hulk dial has a Punch . .. hulk all day
The dial looks cheap. Plus the ugly supercase.
Nice video. A triple retail price it's just a bad purchase. You can fly to Geneva, walk across the Rhone, walk into Blancpain store and come out with a Fifty Fathoms AND and a Bathyscaphe for the price of a second hand of those. Makes me laugh.

Lug to lug del kermit 2020
The clasp bulk on the original ceramic Sub is its biggest flaw. I could care less about the lugs, it’s such a non issue and has been discussed ad nauseum by endless online bores. But to make that clasp even bigger is a mistake in my view. This is a tool watch, if you want a softer rounded off look go for a Yachtmaster. Although the green subs go for silly money doesn’t mean they are nice looking watches. The original Kermit was a cheap ‘special’ release by Rolex. Just bang a green bezel on the thing hey presto a new watch. Lazy. Next they put out a vile green sunray dial with a non matching lighter green ceramic bezel and the watch looks really horrible. To cash in on the green theme we have a ceramic green bezel with a black dial which looks off. Can’t get my head around any of these green watches or the silly prices being paid. Just a fugly lineage and a bunch of mugs buying into the hype crowing about how amazing they are when really all they are interested in is making a profit. The new Kermit should be called the ceramic snot. Or the puke. 🦠🤒🤢🤮
