  • Hands-on review of the 2020 Rolex "Cermit" 126610LV (Ceramic-Kermit)! I am comparing it to the discontinued Hulk, look into the measurements and how it wears on the wrist and also explore the question, whether or not this might have been a big mistake by Rolex!
A quick overview of the actual measurements:
    Rolex Submariner Date 126610LV "Cermit":
    Diameter: 40,5mm
    Lug to lug: 47,6mm
    Clasp: 18,83mm
    Lug width: 26,7mm
    Width/Thickness: 12mm
    Rolex Submariner Date 116610LV "Hulk"
    Diameter: 40,2mm
    Lug to lug: 47,6mm
    Clasp: 17,63mm
    Lug width: 27,5mm
    Width/Thickness: 12mm
What's your take on the new release? Let me know in the comments down below!
As always, thank you for watching my video :-)

Ya man, I have been lucky to have anyone I want, but its only because I buy other watches from my local watch shop.
      Example: Last week
Me: hey watch shop I want a Daytona
Watch Shop: Sure thing if you buy something else we can get you one.
Me: Ok I want a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms
Watch shop: Ok great you can pick both up next week 😂
Me: Wating list is a crop of shit

BC HUXX is correct. I also understand your quandary. However, think about it from the perspective of a watch content creator. Rolex generates at least 5 times more traffic than any other brand when stated in the title. Once in a while, a channel releases a video that is not about Rolex because they are passionate about watches, but it will never generate as much attention, especially for smaller channels trying to grow. At the end of the day, Rolex gets the clicks.

  • @klaushaunstrupchristensen7252

I think the logic behind this new version is that the mega case has come in for criticism over the years for being to clumsy and the integration between lugs and bracelet not ideal. So Rolex have probably decided to slim down the lugs and improve the integration. By doing this the presence on the arm will have been reduced, so to counter this they have upped size slightly in other areas. So with a bit of luck and skill Rolex might have made it more elegant without reducing its presence. To top I up a better movement has been included.should be fine I think.

Limiting the availability is exactly what creates the ability to make a profit. The reason they do it is to create hype. They do it to create something that is desirable that you can't get. It helps their brand. They protect their brand above everything. They don't really care about the flippers as much as you think. In fact, all of that hype and talk feeds back into the relevance of the brand. The new LV isn’t polarizing at all??? It was released as a instant “Rockstar”. I have owned the Hulk for 3 years and it was too much green for me. The green was overwhelming after awhile. The new 126610LV “Starbucks” is THE new Rolex to own. It’s stunning and the contrast between the gloss black dial and green is far more dramatic than the all green Hulk. I also found the 126610LV much easier to live with if dressed up or casual attire. Case design and bracelet are a nod from Rolex correcting the mistakes in the last Submariner Maxi-case generation. “Perfection” is what the new Starbucks LV has restored to the Sub line up and is a clear modern linage to the original LV 50th anniversary.

Resale value is not any criteria of mine when purchasing a watch, as I intend to keep them forever. "Investing" or making a quick buck in watches is a waste of time and time consuming. There are literally thousands of other and much easier ways - than to suck off corrupt ADs and play their silly games - and make all the money you ever need and much more and buy watches like AP, PP, VC, BP and other brands that makes Rolex' watches look liky shiny turds.

Great fact-based review here, Jenni! I think Rolex has made a distinction without a difference here with the "new" Submariner. To me, I think it's a bit sad that they are producing fewer dials and therefore saving money there but then moving prices higher. Feels like a cheap move to extract more dollars from customers rather than to put any real effort into the art of watchmaking and generating excitement that way.
I'd take an Omega over these any day of the week and twice on Sunday. They look better, fit better, are made better.

Great explanation...loved it... and yes Rolex’s politic is not good for Rolex lovers. They should stop making daydates and concentrate on steel sport, this would stop this ridiculous “grey market” prices...some people and ADs are taking advantage

Was hunting a sub no date for awhile, but got a Starbucks as a gift and I absolutely love it. I like the black dial with the bit of green around the dial. As someone who wears a lot of black, it’s a nice way to add a bit of color to my outfit, without standing out too much.

The Submariner is so overhyped that is has become generic and boring. It's an icon, but these days my reaction when i meet someone wearing one is just "meh.."
If it's a vintage with unique patina and an odd ref. Sure. But the new ones just look soo boring.

We don’t buy them to shock or impress you, but for the love we have of it. So keep “meh’ing” when you see one.

Hi Jenni Elle, are you sure about the lug to lug size? Many said the lug to lug old vs new submariner are not the same.

I was afraid the 41mm would ruin it.. but im not sure anymore, i love that the lugs are slimmer, however thats just tricking my eyes because of the wider lug space maybe?
Personally i still prefer the 90s subs, i like the alu bezels ;P

Bringing back a previous model seems to be a smart move. People loved it and there is demand for it. I bet they reintroduce the Hulk in 5 years. It creates demand. People miss it.

Its complete nonsense, the new Rolex releases were underwhelming (except the Skydweller) to say the least. Dont get wrong, I'm a Rolex fan, but this is just pure stupidity
