  • Robert Yellin is founder of the Yakimono Gallery in Kyoto, Japan where he features traditional and modern Japanese potters and ceramic artists. In this video, Robert gives us insights into the intriguing stories of the beautiful pieces from the Yasuko Hoshi-Tada Collection in the US. Some of these amazing pieces will find their way to museums and galleries around Japan and the world, others to private collectors.
I hope Robert will join me again soon to introduce new pieces and new stories to us.

The sound improves after the first 2 minutes when I ask him to move closer to the mic. This is such a great follow up with the amazing Robert Yellin here - he introduces many legendary artists of the past and present and he himself is actually also a living legend in the Japanese and Ceramic pottery world, yet he is so humble and has such a beautiful, authentic love of this traditional and also modern artform - so grateful for his time and appreciate all these wonderful stories and knowledge he shares with us in this talk
