    So glad you got it done. If there was an infection it would have gotten worse over time. I don't envy you on the dentist bill - ouch. You guys are doing a wonderful job with your babies.

    Dentist visits with my daughter is HARD because she’s non verbal with low receptive language. It’s a dramatic experience for the both of us. I’ll look into the sedation.

    Definitely make sure you do his teeth twice a day even if he put up a fight, the anesthetic can have some really intense after affects, its hard on them. My son is 7 and i make him let me brush his teeth. He just knows now that i mean business lol. I also started using activated charcoal powder which i recommended you start using with tooth paste for the whole family, as it cleans more intensely, gets into the teeth more and cleans off plaque more efficiently, my son hasnt had a cavity, but i do his teeth morning and night or just whenever i remember too, but its always at least twice a day. Try to make it a big deal,❤

    My daughter is on a waiting list for sedated dentistry. They called once last month but we were literally moving and I didn’t want that stress before this procedure. She is only 7 and I am so scared. This video is really helping me prepare.

    Aww poor Christian. I know exactly how you feel. It’s hard physically and emotionally draining. You don’t want them to suffer or feel any pain.

    You guys are great parents!!! What you are doing is not easy by far. Give yourself grace in all you do! God bless you both. I have a space too :(. It was a beautifully crowned root canaled molar. Within couple of years it got infected. I went to a specialist for months, we did everything to save it. In the end I had to get an extraction. My dentist fills the hole with bone material (bovine) so that the space does not close and the option for an implant remains. A couple of years later, I am set to begin the process for an implant (my quote: Implant $2,500-, Abutment $895-, Crown- "Zirconia screw down" $2,500-. The money is crazy with dentistry. I don't think an implant will be a great option for Christian. It's a long process. The post is exposed for like 6 months and it takes a lot of care in terms of hygiene for even us. He is fine. My space doesn't show. It is not a big deal :(. I am somewhat of a singer/ actor so it's cosmetic. Take good care of you💙

      Yeah it’s so expensive! Honestly I agree, I’ve had my one tooth extracted and said I would do the implant too, that was almost 4 years ago and I’m ok without lol. We will see how it goes. I don’t want to do something that will be hard for Christian.

    Anything medical-related, it’s such a traumatic experience for both of us. My daughter is 4 years old and a level 1 but every time we go to her doctors appointments or dentist appointments it’s a crying screaming fit and wanting to leave. But it HAS to get done. She may not understand why she has to go to the doctor/dentist but it’s for her good. I will say her last doctor's appointment she did pretty well and I was so proud of her. My daughter has a dentist appointment next month so I'm sure that won’t be a pleasant experience for us :(

    Hi there I have a question. When you say he got sedated, do you mean he went under anesthesia? And was he intubated for the procedure? I ask because I’m fixing to take my nonverbal son to the dentist and I just want to get an idea as far as what most dentists do for our special needs kiddos. Thank you!

    • @ROCKNSTIMS
      @ROCKNSTIMS  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi! Yeah anesthesia, not intubated, it’s through an IV on his arm. Sometimes they do a calming injection before the IV other times only the calming injection but for Christian it was sedated through an IV on arm that put him to sleep.
