Only a special needs parent understand. My daughter is also non verbal but she’s unable to communicate any of her wants or needs. She doesn’t have enough receptive language for an AAC device. Determining something as simple as if she is hungry and/or thirsty is a daily battle for me, it’s a total guessing game. I just hope our future is brighter and better.
