Part of the reason I enjoy your videos is because you make steady progress on your projects. Now you cut the BED (snicker) in the middle and if you go hauling a refrigerator or another Cummins engine you find in that BED it will be weaker from that cutting and welding !!! And ole Henry made his vehicles pretty straight and true. It's all that time between the Rouge and when you got the BED that made it out of square ya know. Like your projects and enjoy your videos thanks for making them 👍
Haha I think I need to be more concerned about that Model T rear spring than the weld seam in the box sides if I haul another Cummins home. Better start looking for a model TT spring I guess.

If you are making a hole through tubing you need a tube through the tubing to keep the bolt from collapsing the tubing.

I did build the frame, but did not make a video on it
I'm not a welder like you. But my question is, should I grind the surfaces on each side of each for better "welds" ?
Yes, the cleaner your metal, the better the weld will be.
Same goes for fitment, the better the pieces fit, the easier it will be to weld.

I actually have a really nice tailgate to replace this one with. Just haven’t got that far yet.
