I'm soooo jealous! Krakow is awesome! Poles are great people and as a whole, love Americans, so do enjoy!
We have loved Poland so much❤️ . Thanks for watching!!
I would not say that we love Americans.
@@pawelborger8819 I guess you're speaking for yourself....Besides, your neighbors to the east I'm sure would love another chance to reassemble the Warsaw Pact....maybe you would too ;)
You just proved my point. Typical arrogant, and not very bright American you are.
Don’t listen to that Russian Troll
You are more than welcome .
Cracow the city of kings 👍
Poland is definitely in my list!
As a Polish, I font recommend living there
*dont
@vortexng887 not to live, just to visit, too cold for me
Krakow is gorgeous, such beautiful architecture everywhere you look. Great video guys!
Thanks, you two!!
Cheers!!🍻
Poland is a beautiful country! We went on a big road there a few years ago, my favorite cities were Turin and Gdansk. And the nature and castles are really breathtaking! Auschwitz is a really sad place, I appreciate that you didn't film it much, I cant understand the people they are taking smiling selfies there...
We were appalled at the people that were taking selfies in front of the main gate!! Just don't understand who you would show the picture to? Anyway, Krakow is an amazing city and we look forward to coming back to see the rest of Poland soon. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Cheers!!🍻
Torun, not Turin.
@@maciekszymanski8340 you are right, I guess my phone didn't like Torun🙂
I and my family were in Cracow last week for 3 days. Very clean and charming city. Poles are gentle people. The expansive park behind the square and across the Wawel Hill was a welcome respite to cool down. Hope that you didn't miss out on the Wieliczka Salt Mine in the outskirts of the city.
Hi, Gerry. We did not go to the salt mines in Poland. We did however go while we were in Romania so decided to skip this one. You are correct, Poles are very friendly, kind people. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Kurwa Kraków czy to takie trudne
I didn't find Poles to be very open or communicative.@@BrianandCarrie
The locals that we asked told us that only locals can call it Krakov. Westerners call it Krakow. We apologize for causing such anger. 😡
@@showmustbeTo jest angielska nazwa Krakowa i nie ma się co dziwić . My też wymawiamy obce miasta po polsku: Nowy Jork, Rzym, Kolonia, Londyn, itd, itp.
You're a beautiful couple, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Krakow - one of my favourite cities in Poland. Wishing you all the best!!!
Thank you so much for the kind words! We hope to return to Poland soon.
Cheers!!🍻
You’re right. The architecture is spectacular. Thanks for going there -Elizabeth
Glad you enjoyed it ♥ Thanks so much for your support!!
Wow…the city looks amazing, I would have never thought of going there but it’s now on my List!
@@Bakambolor maybe there is something wrong with the promotion of Poland in the West, since there is so little awareness about Poland?
@@InternetDirector I've been to the West and believe me, no, haha. People know almost nothing about Poland (there are exceptions) and they say such nonsense about us that I cried with laughter more than once. The West seems to me much stupider than us, less educated, because in Poland we have a good awareness of Europe and not only Europe, I don't know, maybe it's due to some ignorance. Honestly, I don't care at all, we don't need the Wild West here.
Just finished 3 month trip Croatia, Montenegro, Albania then ferry to Corfu where I am currently staying with my daughter for a few weeks . The heatwave here is causing me to drink much cold beer ( and water of course) . Heading to UK soon and then maybe a quick trip to Poland . You have tempted me 😉.
Sounds like you've had a great adventure!! We did that path basically in reverse 😉. Fortunately, where we are we've had such perfect temperatures. Enjoying it now as I know we will see higher temps as we head north. Cheers and enjoy your time in Corfu!!
Poland looks lovely! Hoping to make it there someday.
We are loving Eastern Europe. Thank you for watching and commenting! ❤❤
@@BrianandCarriePoland, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary = Central Europe not Eastern. Esp. Czechs are sensitive about it 😊
Thank you!! We will be more careful! 😬
@@karelmuller6716 Not only Czechs. Western Europe does not know that Europe ends in Russia in the Ural Mountains. These are the remnants of the iron curtain dividing communist countries and free Europe.👍
Such a beautiful city! Thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you for watching! ❤
Thanks for bringing us a tour of another Beautiful City Krakow.
You're very welcome.... Poland is a must visit. Cheers 🍻
What a stark contrast from SE Asia! Even though KL looks pretty well developed and also where you were in Singapore, the architecture in Europe definitely gives a different vibe. Having the opportunity to "live" in both worlds plus many more makes me wonder why anyone would ever want to remain in one location all their lives. You two make me laugh. It's entertaining to watch one of you, mainly Brian, say he did or saw something, then immediately hear Carrie tell us the truth of the matter. As far as I'm concerned, that bit of humor scattered in your videos really adds to the experience. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to hearing about your next stop in your journey!
That is so true - and one of the reasons we love changing it up and moving our travels to SE Asia.
100% different style, culture, and food - keep the senses always guessing. I will say that when we head home and are there for 8 weeks, we find our minds getting so bored as we've returned to a life we can typically live with our eyes closed. and yes - Brian keeps the humor in the videos and brings it a bit down to reality 😂 gotta have some balance! Cheers 🍻
Simply gorgeous, such beautiful architecture everywhere you look. The accompanying music was so good as well. Thanks so much 😘😘
Thank you, Louise! ❤
It's so beautiful just walking through the old town and taking it all in. We truly feel so blessed to be doing what we are doing. Thank you, as always for the kind words ❤️
This was an excellent video; enjoyed the video quality and the accompanying music. I think it is great that an American couple from the northwest coast of America is showing parts of Europe that I have never been to. Krakow was a real eye-opener and what a beautiful and laidback part of the city you were in. You guys did a great job and looking forward to the next video. Cheers!
Thank you, John for the kind words. We appreciate you watching and commenting on our channel. It really does help us out a lot. Thanks again...

You need to see Gdańsk! Trust me on that :D It's my favorite old town in Poland. Have a great time!
Thank you! We are having a wonderful time. We won't make it up to Gdansk this year but plan on coming back to Europe in 2024.

Yes Krakow is awesome ... been over 25 years since i visited .. pretzels every day, fantastic art, squeaky cheese and pierogi ... hope you get to visit Zakopane ...... nope looks like you are in Prague - another epic city ... i still have jewellery my dad bought me 40 years ago from the charles bridge ..... eastern europe is spectacular..
We are having an amazing time and excited to be here. We are looking forward to planning 2024, so much more that we want to see and do! Thank you for watching!!

Great video - you’ve certainly given us plenty of ideas what to see in Krakow despite the weather. We are used to so much rain the UK even in the middle of summer! We are just checking the Airbnb you stayed at, looks lovely. Take care, and we are looking forward to you’re next video in Poland.
Thank you so much! The weather was I think a bit out of the norm, but like you, we're used to the on and off rain so we just make the best if it. Cheers 🍻
Happy you enjoyed Krakow! ITs amazing! I wish you showed more things to do…
We wish we had more time to explore. It is an amazing city!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! ❤
Lovely video guys! Glad you enjoyed your time there. It's so nice to see Krakow in the summertime. We enjoyed a white Christmas there back in 2018.
Thank you!! I'm sure it was absolutely beautiful in the winter time ❤️
Thank you for taking me back to this amazing place- beautiful video even in the rain!

Wow that looks fantastic! Definitely going on the list.
Living vicariously through your journeys and loving all the sights and beers you show! Aloha
Thank you for watching! Plenty more sights and beer coming your way!

You should try traditional Polish donuts(pączki). These are donuts stuffed with wild rose jam. Two pastries come from Krakow. Obwarzanek krakowski dates back to the 14th century. Here the dough is steamed first and then baked. Bagels also come from Krakow. Cracow Jews started to bake them in the 17th century. Bagels were a gift for women after a successful birth in its early days. Bagels came to the USA with emigrants at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The traditional Krakow street food is maczanka krakowska. It was already popular in the 18th century. It is pulled pork in a rich sauce, served with pickles in a bun. The pride of the region is also Krakowska sausage(kiełbasa krakowska). Dry Krakowska sausage is the best.
It all sounds delicious! We are having a great time with the local cuisine including the beer! We just hope that we can walk enough miles to keep the weight off! 😄

Another quality video as to be expected. Europe is really very special, and a happy place for me. You are venturing to an area that I have not been, but it makes me curious to experience it. Rick Steves would say that there is no bad weather, just bad clothing. You made the best of it by staying an extra day or two it would look like. This is peak summer season and early on in your video especially it seemed to be less crowded in the streets. I also am pleasantly surprised to see less grafiti on the walls, unlike some areas in Lisbon, Porto and Portugal when I was there in May. The food is always hearty fare, and the beer is full and robust. Having been to Prague back in 2018, I will be anxious to see your travels there. As always enjoy, keep sharing.
The cool, rain was actually a welcomed surprise after spending so much time in SE Asia! We have also been surprised with the relative lake of tourist so far. We do expect crowds in places like Prague, Milan and Florence in the coming weeks. Thank you for all the support, Robert.
Cheers!!🍻
I appreciate very much your sharing of the Airbnb that you all stayed at.. Much much help when I would do my traveling to those places because I would have an idea… Thank you for sharing and please do keep on sharing !
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for watching ☺
In Samantha Brown’s Passport to Europe Prague edition, she went off the beaten path to a little shop that supposedly has the best apple strudel in Europe. I always swore, that if I ever went to Prague, I would have to find this place and try one!! A few months ago, I traveled to Prague and did exactly that !! It was the best Apple strudel that I’ve ever had period, not to mention it was about a foot long, huge and about 2 euros!!! The name of it is Žižkovská štrúdlárna!! You can take the tram most of the way, then it’s a walk through a residential area……Highly recommend! I think they are cash only. - Maria
Wow, thank you so much for the suggestion! We just looked up the location and hope to make it over there - it looks absolutely amazing! Cheers 🍻
@@BrianandCarrie I think you will absolutely fall in love with Prague! I can’t wait to follow your travels there! - Maria 😊
Great video. Lucky enough to have been to Krakow twice!
Thank you!! We may have to go back, a few days isn't nearly enough time. Cheers 🍻
Krakow looks amazing! I always enjoy your videos. I was wondering if you prefer the slow travel you have done in the past, or the moving faster travel you are doing now? Cheers!
We would say a mix of each. We like about 2 weeks of fast travel and then slow it down to a slower pace. The bus, train, Airbnb, Uber rides, and all that goes into fast travel can not only get exhausting but expensive as well. Our current fast travel is closer to 25 days. That may be a bit much for us. Great question, thank you! ❤
Hey just heads up on the flickering lights when shooting storefronts. There is a setting on the gopro that needs to be adjusted to European lights. It was driving us crazy haha and then we figured it out and watched a video to change it. Poland looks lovely even in the rain!
We have it set correctly but some lights continue to flicker. We have set one on 60Hz and the other on 50Hz and it made no difference. Europe is 50Hz and the US is 60Hz We had it set for our US video before we realized we needed to change it to 60Hz. It is a learning process!! 😂 Thank you for the heads up!!
@BrianandCarrie Learning process for us too! I thought it was just the gopro at first 😂 but then Google came to the rescue haha
The souvenir row - is in fact Sukiennice a medieval trading post where cultures met and trade happened from times medieval :) It’s in the middle of the biggest medieval town square in the world by area :)
The prevalent jewelry type is amber - as for centuries it was the “gold” of Poland along rock salt :)
Thank you for the information and for watching!!
Cheers!!🍻
Great vid!
Another great video guys - Krakow and Poland look amazing!
Very nice thank you for showing us this fantastic video well done 👍
I kept thinking you should buy an umbrella and I live in Portland Oregon 😊. Talking about crosswalks make sure not to jaywalk in Poland. They do give out fines there. It is interesting throughout Europe how jaywalking enforcement varies. In Scotland everybody seems to jaywalk 😅
We enjoyed your video with a Pilsner beer and a few olives. If you haven’t had olives with your beer you are missing out on your green food group. We got hooked on olives and beer in Portugal. 🍻🫒
We also got hooked on olives and beer in Portugal!! 😃 The beer here is amazing although we are looking forward to Italy's wine country next month! Thank you for watching!

Lovely video, I felt like I travelled with you guys to Krakow. If you are going to Prague, don't forget to stop by at Lokál and try their food and beer. I remember I had to book our tables in advance, cause it seems very popular. Be safe and see you guys on your next video!

Thank you for your breakfast impressions in Poland 🎉🎉🎉
Great that you have made it to Poland. Beautiful video images. It looks as if you had a great time even with the inclement weather. But, you are Washintonians and can handle it! Smiles.
When I think of Poland, I always think of my (now late) friend from our university days here in L.A. He received a Fulbright scholarship to Poland in the 1970s. He loved it there and went back several times to visit friends whom he had made. He also received a Fulbright scholarship to China in the 1970s and stayed a year and also loved it there. We were together at university most of the 1970s.
Poland was the first Eastern European country to join the Fulbright scholarship program in 1959. Senator J.William Fulbright of Arkansas developed the program as he believed that a program was needed to bridge cultures for a better understanding of each other since he felt that both nationalism and xenophobia were causes of WWII.
In 1959, Franciszek Lyra received the first Fulbright scholarship from Poland to the U.S. and stayed in the U.S. for a year. Then, in 1961, a professor from Harvard, received the first Fulbright scholarship to Poland for a year.
In 1946, Truman signed a bill and the Fulbright scholarship program was developed. The first countries in the program were China, The Phiilippines, Burma, and Greece and in 1948, eighty-three participants total from both the U.S. and from the first four participant countries were sent out on the Fulbright scholarship program for a cultural/educational year abroad.
Greetings from Los Angeles
It is an amazingly beautiful country, we can see why your friend continued to go back. Thank you for this bit of history! We very much appreciate the continued support!

Love these Videos. Been following since almost the beginning.. a year at least, and really enjoying all the sights, commentary, information, learning. Thought it was time to write 'thanks!'. Don't know if my family will ever do world travel but we are definitely inspired to take a far-away trip sometime next year. That's the plan. Best 🙂
Thank you so much ♥ we really appreciate that! That's a great plan to start with a far-away trip, just might excite you to do more and longer stretches. Cheers 🍻

Love seeing the new places! Why did you choose this area and why now faster traveling? Taking tips from you pros so we can retire as nomads as well. Haven’t watched to end yet, but wanted to request pls include prices as you enjoy beers, foods, and accommodations! Thank you!
Hi! We have always wanted to visit Poland and the Czech Republic (actually had a trip planned, but then the war started and we felt it best to stay out of the area as they had enough going on). We will be landing in Italy in two locations for 2 months and wanted to see more of this area than just picking one location.
Sorry about the pricing - we do try to add the pricing, but moving quicker has to film sometimes many numerous videos in just a couple days and we can forget 😔. We will be doing a full cost breakdown for our 3 weeks of fast travel when we are done. Cheers 🍻
Great! Thank you 🙏🏻

Hehe dumplings as an appetizer? . The dumplings are very filling and if you eat 10 of them you will be full. I like dumplings with blueberries, but they are offered when blueberries are in season - sweet and sour in taste, I can eat them 20 pieces at a time.😄
Brian over estimates his stomach capacity 🤣. After those we were quite full. The blueberry ones sound amazing, would love to try them one day. Cheers!!
Hi Guys,
Thanks for another great video! It's also evident to me and probably other viewers that you are happy to be back in Europe. While Southeast Asia is an excellent place to visit, it is hard to beat Europe for its history and culture. In Asia, you stand out as foreigners, whereas in Europe, you blend in. The Pierogi's looked good, but so you know, whenever you see cabbage on the menu description in Eastern Europe, it will most probably be sauerkraut. By now, you are probably in the Czech Republic enjoying some of the best beer in the world.
I look forward to hearing which one you like the most. I have my favorite, but we are all different. Cheers!
We have arrived in the Czech Republic and drinking plenty of fantastic beer! We are really enjoying the history and culture but loving that we aren't in the hot, humid heat of SE Asia. Thank you for watching and commenting!! Heading to Germany next for more great beer.

Another great video guys..... We did it 3 weeks into our adventure... Staying in a home stay/arbnb with a Fijian family. Complete immersion... Here for 3 more weeks then we head to Australia. Thank you for all the information...
This is definitely not for everyone but an incredible way to live Fijian. 1100 dollars for 30 days. We plan to figure out the video making skill when we go back to Spokane for the holidays.
Safe travels. Larry and Minnie. 🎉❤❤❤❤
That sounds like an amazing adventure! $1100 all-inclusive in Fiji sounds good to us!! 😆 Get going on the video skills! This would make a great CZcams channel!! Thank you for always supporting us!

Lol. Yes sorry no not all inclusive...a room. Private bathroom. Access to the shared kitchen and you have a private bathroom. The food... authentic Fijian is available. Dinner is 20 Fijian aka 9 USD. Lots of challenges. Not for the faint of heart. The life lessons and seeing a glimpse of their daily life is what it's all about.
Wow!! It is always interesting to us to see how people live with so little but are always smiling and happy.
A lot of those Eastern European cities look really interesting, but not the greatest weather! But I learned at the Acropolis in Athens of all places that interesting places are still interesting in the rain. Gotta say, as much as I appreciate a good mug of beer, a cold glass of milk is the best way to finish off a caramel donut. 😀😀😀
We are really enjoying the places that we have been to so far. We are only 2 weeks ahead of our videos and can say that Eastern Europe is amazing!! Coming from SE Asia where it was hot and muggy we are actually enjoying the cool climate. Milk with any donut is preferable!! 😆 Thank you for watching, Doug!
Cheers!!🍻
i DON'T KNOW...i THINK A REALLY STRONG BLACK COFFEE MIGHT BE THE ULTIMATE FOR PAIRING WITH A DONUT 🙂
Milk, coffee or beer! 😂
Polska to Centralna Europa, nie Wschodnia.
A cool idea for a video topic: take us along on you trip planning. For any given country walk us thru real time esque as you research where to stay, build itinerary. What resources you use etc. less just telling us use these 6 websites and a few tips for each and more “bring you along for the ride as I plan (country X)”
That's a fantastic idea!! It's quite a process and I know we've had many request suggestions on how we do it all.

Nice video of my beautiful city! I thought it was cute when you mentioned an "underground" shopping area. That is Cloth Hall or Sukiennice. It is not underground, though it probably felt that way. It is a very historic building in Kraków Old Town.
Very good to know, thank you so much for sharing. We loved Krakow and look forward to returning. Cheers!!

You guys are inspiring me. I must be about your age. I'm 52. You are making me want to sort out my mess and get travelling. How do you find Poland price wise compared to Thailand? I live in Thailand.
Yes, same age as us. Poland is quite a bit more than Thailand, across the board. It's still less than other areas of Europe though. Honestly, it's hard to beat the prices in Thailand and other areas of SE Asia. Thanks for watching and following along ☺️
Krakow is great. I first visited the city in 1989 when it was communist and as the saying goes "if you tell the kids today- they wouldn't believe you!". The historical city center was in a rough state, very few restaurants, no shops to speak of, and completely dead after 6pm to give some hints...The teen-age me did however, notice that just like today there where very many pretty girls!
Thank you for watching, we appreciate the support. ❤
we want more scenes of the Polski Fiats!!! 🙂
You must go to Gdański absolutli must have pozdrawiam
Nice video😊
Thanks 😊
How does it feel to be back in Europe ? I’m curious about the differences in cultural stimulation you find between Europe and Asia!
We are excited to be here and looking forward to seeing the Czech Republic, Germany, and Italy in the coming months. We enjoyed SE Asia but we love the culture here in Europe. We were also tired of the heat and humidity in SE Asia. Thank you for watching!! ❤
Nice! Prices seem a bit higher than what I was expecting for Eastern Europe, USD 2 for a donut. Maybe tourist area prices or Poland prices have risen to Western Europe levels??
I'm sure that was tourist pricing. We wouldn't normally pay $1.80 for a donut but they were the go to street food choice so figured why not. We have found the pricing to be about half of what we pay in the states. Thanks for watching - Cheers 🍻
Polska to Europa Centralna, nie Wschodnia. Europa na Wschodzie sięga po Ural, to daleko na wschód. Zobacz na mapę.
Great video thanks team. Two questions if I may - and if you ever find them so late after posting.
1) What time of year were you there? Was it July 2023 and
2) Where did you fly in to from the states to get to Krakow? Cheers Andrea
Yes, it was July 2023 and we flew in from the US with a layover in the UK. Thank you Andrea for watching! ❤

Hey guys what dates were you there? We are looking for a destination to get away from the summer crowds in Europe and it doesn’t look crowded there!
Hi,Sue. We were there two weeks ago. It wasn't crowded and the weather was nice and cool.
@@BrianandCarrie Thanks so much!!
🇵🇹👍🏻💚❤️🇵🇱
Hey would be really nice to know month your in each town (I did note published 23/7/23 ) but unsure if for recent trip ? Cheers love your input 😊
Hi, Jayne. We were in Krakow in mid-July before moving on to Wroclaw and eventually the Czech Republic and Germany. Our published date is usually within 2 or 3 weeks of the date that we were actually there. Great question, we sometimes forget to announce the time of year in the video. Thank you for watching!!
Cheers!!🍻
