My father and I visited Prague, Czech Republic 🇨🇿 (known as Czechia 🇨🇿 and formerly Czechoslovakia) in early July 2016 and we stayed there for five days/nights. The city of Prague is absolutely beautiful. It has lots of wonderful historic buildings, landmarks and architectures such as castles, cathedrals, chuches, synagogues, Charles Bridge and clock towers. I just loved it over there. It's probably one of the most beautiful European cities in the world and it's one of my favourite European cities of all time as well.
I'd love to visit Prague again sometime in the future.
    Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪.

On the first day, we walked around the city at the evening.
On the second day we went on a tour. We visited St. Vitus Cathedral. We saw Charles Bridge. We visited the clock tower and it has a great view of the city.
On the third day we went to the zoo and we saw lots of amazing animals in there. We saw some guests bringing their dogs to the zoo! We thought we never saw anyone who brings their dogs to zoos before in our lives.
On the fourth day we went to the National Museum and we also went to the Zizkov Television Tower (Czech: Žižkovský vysílač) The tower has an incredible view of a city of Prague so you can see all the buildings out there!
On the last day, we went to garden and we went to the Greenhouse.

This video brings back fond memories of the charming Prague. A couple of notes, you didn't show any use of the streetcars and trams around Prague which are excellent and took me to the castle on the hill from the old town easily and cheaply. I also note that the bike tours around Prague were excellent and a great way to cover a lot of ground and save your feet somewhat. The local fare is quite hearty with gravies and cheaper cuts of meat and potatoes. Very good. The beer variety is excellent and you are in your element there. You make me want to return to Prague and enjoy once again, and get outside that city and see more of Czech Republic. Honest Guide has some excellent videos about Prague to check out for food, money changing etc.

    Beautiful!!!
I was just getting ready to go out and do some errands and then your vlog popped up and I had to watch. So, much for hurrying out to do errands. LOL!
I really wish that I had ventured into Eastern Europe back in the day as some friends and coworkers did and found it very interesting. But, I was always living in Copenhagen for 10-11 weeks during the summers and it was far to travel to a lot of other places within Europe. Airfare , within Europe, back in the day was really expensive so trains were taken all over Europe. It's not like Europe had a Shinkansen train. Trains were slow. It would take me around 14-16 hours to just get to Paris as to get out of DK, the train would drive onto a ferry and cross a body of water to just get to the German side and then reconnect the train to continue. And there were usually delays. And traveling to Italy and then back up to Copenhagen really took forever as long as 30 hours depending on where in Italy. So, I couldn't imagine traveling to Eastern Europe by train. Folks are lucky that they can now fly as prices starting coming down more in the early 80s, I think it was. I now fly within Europe.
I have friends and coworkers who ventured into Eastern Europe back in the day and found it very interesting. We were all a very well-traveled group; friends, coworkers, and family members. It was great as we'd exchange information of where to go, where to stay, and what to expect and especially before the internet and other tech came into existence.
Keep having lots of fun! I continue to look forward to your vlogs. Now, to get some errands done. LOL!

It depends on what we mean by the word "country". Whether a temporary purposeful alliance or co-state that is currently the subject of international law, or a territory that has its long-term national identity even when it is part of a larger state. You can take tram # 22 to the front entrance of Prague Castle. No need to climb those stairs. Walking down the stairs is also not easy. We just kept getting 24 hr passes on the trams. Quite easy to hop on and of the trams. Even took tram # 19 (I think) to the central train station and took a train to the central train station. We took a train to Dresden, Germany (about 2 hrs and 15 mins one way). Spent the day in Dresden and returned in the evening. You have to book your seats and go to the specific train compartment (carriage). The compartment #s are on the side. Pretty easy ride. Train moves about 100 kmph.

Prague, Barcelona, Venice, the Louvre in Paris where I am at, etc - are places that are best visited late November/January/February. Sure the weather might suck, but you get a totally different vibe and space. Its also more obvious observing where the locals go to eat/drink and just follow.

Being full-time travelers, we have to be somewhere in the summer months, so we tend to move from place to place a little faster than usual. We do prefer the shoulder months for all the reasons that you mention. Great point on observing where locals eat, we hadn't considered that.

As a Prague citizen I have to disagree. There can be -10 °C in Prague during January/February if you're unlucky. Also the city looks way better when the green leafs are still on the trees. I would suggest March/April are the best months for travelling here.

Hey guys, video is nice, however you’ve missed a few tricks…….firstly, forget Starbucks! Prague has some amazing and cool independent coffee shops many of which have free to use toilets 😉.
I see you visited Malostranska Beseda, one of my favourite pubs, although there is a secret area of the pub which is where I prefer to go.
Taking an Uber in the city of Prague is almost unforgivable 😮. Prague public transport is very very cheap and reliable and the tram 22 would take you to the castle.
As for hop on/hop off buses and those “old fashioned” cars, they are tourist traps. Completely overpriced and the public transport (trams, buses & metro) are far more enjoyable to use.
Going to the bridge early morning is good advice indeed 😊, as is taking a late night stroll across the bridge after a nice day with your other half.
Come back and visit again and I’ll ensure you’d enjoy it even more than you could imagine 👍😊

Also is one of you in charge of booking transportation and the other in charge of booking accomodations? can you tell us the name of the air bnb you stayed in the Split area? and Brno and Prague. Hi! We always love hearing when viewers have found our videos helpful, thank you! And Congrats on your retirement countdown - so exciting ☺. We do videos on our cost breakdowns that will let you know our final costs for each location we are in. Look for our cost breakdown in the next few weeks that will break down our 1-month journey through Central Europe, this will include all expenses we incurred. Our planning and how far in advance depends solely on location and time of year, some require forward planning due to availability, and others you can wait down to the last minute. I (Carrie) take care of all our travel arrangements - personally having one person in charge of this area makes more sense, as it's a lot of elements to be sure are lined up. If you are interested in any of the Airbnb's we stayed in, we put the link to those in the video description for the area we stayed - let us know if there is one you are unable to locate. Cheers 🍻
