    Great video!! Really shattered my dreams to here it only come out one way though. I got an oil seal shot on the left side and that’s the side that’s welded 😭
    Saved me a lot of cursing for sure!!!

      Perry Doran thanks !!! I’m glad I was able to help you and glad you enjoyed the video it’s unfortunate that that is the side welded for you tho bro but if you were changing the axle out you can cut the weld off and than take it out.

    I just bought a 1985 Big Red 250 and I just found out the left rear wheel doesn't spin under power. Is this most likely my problem, and where can I get the left hub and axle? Thanks for your help!

      sounds like a stripped hub to me. i would check all local market places for second hand parts as new can get expensive i hope you have good luck and thanks for watching and commenting

      hey this was the muffler the last awner put on it but i am 3/4 positive it was a fmf powercore and thankyou so much

    Would this process also work for a 1984 big red 200es?

    • @Reidinsonmedia
      @Reidinsonmedia  Před rokem

      I don’t think they are the same the rear differential on the 200es is very different than the 250es I think it would be a similar process but may include a few more steps

    What about changing the rear bearings? Thanks

    • @Reidinsonmedia
      @Reidinsonmedia  Před 2 lety +1

      i would only change them if they need to be changed. i personally didn't in this video as they were still good bearings in the rear. there old machines they will almoast last there whole life on one set of bearings

    Have you done one when the actual differential has completely failed.?, hope to hear from you 👍.

    • @Reidinsonmedia
      @Reidinsonmedia  Před 3 lety

      i have had rear differentials fail and i have always just got a used second hand rear diff and replaced it. it is just a extra 4 bolts to take it off

      If ya still have trouble you can tap on the drum on all sides with a hammer to free it from corrosion etc
