I have raised her as well, and have no regrets about it. But I only use her in co-op, where I think she's much more viable due to her burst connecting to all four party members.
I used 210 wishes to get Dori and ended up with C1 Ganyu and no Dori.
Got scammed emotionally but Meta-wise not too bad a deal.

Mine at lvl8 friendship now. Grinding friendship points with faruzan, goro, and dehya. She's such an unreliable healer, and need a lot of uptime to works. Granted the team I use now are soo bad, I had to use physical faruzan to hit towers, mob, or balloon for commission đ„.

next patches: Qiqi energy generation was actually bugged, she should generate less energy.
@@Kyee124 she doesnât even generate energy at C0. Like actually produces no energy particles. Would end up making her literally steal energy from your team lol. Thatâs somehow fitting to her character though.

She generates energies and creates shield now, except she got re-packaged as a 4 star cat girl with a bow.
Love how kokomi and zhongli having the same votes in most favs, since during her first banner, she was hated the most for being unnecessary and that zhongli is better.
Kokomi aged better thanks to Hydro being so strong and Dendro reactions relying on it. Zhongli has fallen off cuz Geo sucks and shielding by itself isnât as good with Rifthounds being a thing.

The whole time during the least favorite list I was like âDamn how could you dislike all of these charactersâ and when I saw Dori at No. 1 with 1k+ votes I was like âYeah I understand thatâ
Tbh i was taking a huge, like two year break from genshin and i know about a lot (old now lmao) characters but i saw Dori only here in this video lol
I predicted that characters like Yae, Wanderer, Raiden, and Childe would be high on both the least favorite and favorite lists. For them, it's sort of a you hate them or you love them situation, since most people either LOVE morally grey characters with complex characterization and interesting lore or hate them because *cough* war crimes. Yae would also fit into this list because you either love her crafty personality or want to kick her out a window.
So basically, they have an equal amount of haters and... lovers.... (Oh god no) because it's just kind of a switch on whether or not you like the more morally questionable ones. Oh. And if you actually understand their story and characterization (please I've died more times than the amount of Samsara loops because of horrendous takes on these characters).

let's be fair here. raiden isn't morally grey character, she's just poorly written character. she haven't recieved punishment or at least some disapproval of her actions, she just left her country, caused many people's suffering and THE WAR, then was like 'but i have sad backstory actually' and suddenly became good. no remorse, no consequences for her, no one is blaming or think poorly of her. she has dead sister, after all!
The amount of times I've seen people try and clown on Miko with bad takes really makes me disappointed to see just how many people don't pay attention to the story or dialogue.

Hu Tao being number one was pretty predictable. I'm surprised that Ganyu was so low on the "favourites" list. I'm also surprised that Itto is the second most popular male. I thought for sure it'd be Xiao.
Ganyu fell off a lot since with release of Dendro the Freeze comps are very weak now due to Abyss having mostly bosses and not big amount of enemies with low hp to oneshot. She is also quite the boring "always tired overworked girl" stereyotype, and her gameplay does not suit most of people (especially the mobile users) I am not surprised she is low, she was only popular for high damage, like Hu Tao, but at least the latter had a whole event to boost her popularity even more
As a male, I'd choose dudebro over emobro any day, I think that's a factor on top of women's taste in husbandos. Itto is just that charismatic regardless
About Xiao and Itto take also in account the channel has Itto as its favorite character so the voters may be a little more likely to also like the character.
Having Rie Takahashi as her VA automatically puts her at #1 by default

Cyno did a lot better than i thought! As a cyno main, seeing him be 21 in favorites and in the 40's for least favorite brought a smile to my face. I feel he is one of the most misunderstood characters, especially with his kit and how theorycrafters were saying Spread/aggravate teams when he really shines as a quickbloom driver.
Me too I love Cyno and I have him with Nahida, Baizhu and Xinqui. Still finishing their builds.

he's honestly one of my favourite characters personality wise ( the others being nahida, xiao, neuvilette and ayaka )
Pleased to see how my girl Shenhe stacked up. She hasn't gotten any real story features outside of her intro quest, and she's a niche unit who hasn't gotten her rerun yet, and she still managed to pull a middle of the pack favorite score :D And she scored VERY low in least favorites, so very few haters out there :) Thank you to everyone who thinks kindly of her!

She has a lot of fans. It's just that the rest of the community overlooks her completely. But Yoimiya people are dedicated.
She's a very likeablye character, and honestly usable, but shes overshadowed by a character that came before her for that role +shes always stuck next to very popular and anticipated character banners so its hard to justify pulling her
Gameplay-wise, she has a lot of flaws, but she's pretty cozy to play with against boss enemies and small enemy groups. Especially ones that move around. Personality-wise, she's just a sweet gal that likes making people smile. Not super high on my list, but she does land around #8 or #9 for me.
I don't like her voice , so i skipped all her voices in missions

I was pleasantly surprised by Chongyun's placement in the favorites list but actually *shocked* by how many least favorite votes he got. I cannot begin to imagine what he did to deserve that. đ Probably the biggest surprise for me in the video, although Xiangling's low placement in the favorites list also took me by surprise.

I expected him to be low on favorite and low on hated, but he is about the same in the middle for both, like huh. Knowing that he is not popular at all I just assume people who wanted to vote for him as a "favorite" just misclicked and voted to a "least favorite"

I would love one to let us vote on more than 1 character. Like, for example, Tighnari isn't my favorite cause I really like Eula, but I would vote for him as second best. I imagine a lot of people feel the same with many characters!

Everyone is gangsta until the Geo wolves in abyss shows who the real GEO archon is.
Noelle does require a lot of investment, but between Redhorn and the Husk set, she can slap pretty hard for a Geo character. And the wide range of her burst helps a lot, too. I only wish that her shield had a shorter cooldown, and that she could get a bit of ASPD passively.
@@SpinDlsc True. Personally, my only issue with my Noelle team is that my Albedo's missing Cinnabar Spindle (Thanks Mihoyo đ), it's probably better to give Noelle more crit damage & bench Albedo for Geo Traveler's crit rate buff instead.
@@phyrexian_dude4645 Noelle, a Main DPS who can get into a close-in fight with corrosion spewing opponents and end the fight with everyone at full HP even without other healers or gobbling food.
I would say getting high votes on the least favorite list is also an accomplishment on its own, showing that the character is at least noticeable. Seeing Jean so low on both lists just shows how "vanilla" she is when it comes to player recognition.
Pretty happy Itto is so high on the list though, I am sure he was also high on least favorite list because he's been taking tons of screentime in 3.3 only to have more in 3.4. At least Itto appreciators are eating well during these periods đ„” That white valentine art was just soooo good.

Same reason most will vote for Xinyan/Dori. They don't hate the character (most likely) but they are forgettable and if you don't hate a single character you're most likely just going to vote for the character you forget even exists lol.
@@hedgehugs Idk, Xinyan's kit is kind of notorious for being underwhelming, and Dori has always been a pretty controversial character bc of her design. I wonder if it's more related to his infusion, like how people hate Bennett's c6.

I was suprised Hu Tao got first on âmost favouritesâ⊠Heard many people say they find her annyoing in the story. (Iâm on the complete opposite side, as I find her chaoticness really funny. But eh, preferences I guess)
As for Dori, I think itâs a combination of her bad kit and her very small part in the Sumeru story. Most fun interactions Iâve had with Dori was through other characters describing their encounters with her, for example in one of Tighnariâs voicelines.
Edit: Sheâs definitely a character with a lot of potential. If only they gave her more screentimeâŠ

They all three (raiden as well) are terrible characters with rabid fans and rabid haters, I being a raiden fan but a wanderer/childe hater for example, no in-between

I had a hard time even thinking what my least favorite would be. Most characters I like at least 2/3 things between playstyle/kit, personality/backstory, and visual design. Seeing Dori at the top made me realize that she probably is the only character where I don't really like her for any of those categories đ
I also never would have guessed there are so many people who see characters like Ayaka and Hu Tao as their LEAST favorite. They're pretty middle of the pack for me. Interesting to see somewhat strong negative opinions when there are so many fans of them.
I think the multitude of fans are exactly what create the haters.
And finally, thank you for the amazing editing! 20x quality increase over just showing a spreadsheet with numbers!

@@mrrayreptilesOVERx It's so noticeable, tbh. Zhongli had a official Rex Lapis Dragon plushie that have been on sale for a really long time. No need to mention about his in-game full form dragon's appearances. Meanwhile Kokomi's in-game constellation format are literally sea dragon, and her constellation name were called "Dracaena Somnolenta" which can be translated directly into "Sleeping Dragoness".
I find it very interesting that Childe is rank high on both favorite and least favorite. A very polarizing character I guess.
He's a villain and a well-written character. So naturally, he will divide the fandom. It's to be expected with him, Scara and Ei

the only thing I would like to see next time is the favourited elements / regions mentioned proportional to how many characters fall into each. for example, people like sumeru the least, but it also has the least characters. would just be interesting to see how balancing that out affects things.

Also, 8k is TOOOOO narrow a sample, incomparable with community or hoyolab active, there little sense to create any statistics based on it
@@user-cmcumm Lmao thats not how statistics works. I only learnt a bit about sample sizes as part of a research project i did a while back but essentially the larger the size of the population you are trying to determine, the lower a percentage of that population you need. You still need more obviously but it increases much slower than the actual value. This is because as the number of samples increases, the accuracy exponentially increases as opposed to the linear increase of the population you are trying to test. For example with a sample size calculator i found online, for a confidence level of 95% with a 5% margin of error, 500 needs a sample size of 218 while 500k needs a sample size of 384. Genshin's 50 million monthly playerbase only needs 385. Its actually crazy how accurate small samples are. (Technically its massive since 385 is a big number but 50m makes it look small)

She sings horribly, though. Her song in English was so bad, it breaks the immersion that she's supposed to be a popular musician. And, well, personally, didn't care for her trip down memory lane either in the summer event.

Its curious that the positioning of the favorite characters is not more or less in the opposite in the least favorite characters, For example Hu Tao being 1rst place in the favorite list not being at the bottom 10 of the least favorite list. It's about how controversial a character is, yaoyao is low on both lists because people simply don't care about her, while someone like itto will have a lot of fans and a lot of haters, because his personality is on the more extreme end which causes more extreme opinions

Wut??? Dori is most hated by a lot? That really surprises me. She's my healer/battery for Beidou and I been working on her quite a bit, she's quickly becoming my favorite coop character. And her with the event elemental mastery sword? So much fun.
Iâm honestly really surprised Raiden shogun didnât win most favorite like she normally does in public community votes. Itâs a pleasant surprise to finally have a new winner.

I'm actually surprised Yanfei isn't hated on too much, and scored kinda decently on the favorites. I expected more hate due to the lack of people using her, but congrats to Yanfei
There's another youtuber, Vars, who does a "why nobody plays" series, Yanfei was one of the first he did. But if you look in the comments of the video, she has a LOT of player. I myself main her on my secondary account.
The best way to summarize Yanfei is that she has a dedicated audience, but overall she's average. Nothing bad to note of, but nothing spectacular.
I think she's a bit annoying, but she's got a unique play style and she's not gross. With Dori taking all the hate votes, the ordering of the rest of them counts for less.

I think that the reason why certain characters are high in the "Least Favorite Characters" has also been influenced by the interpretation of certain characters in Fan-works and the groups in the fandom that almost share opinions, like possibly Aether being low in favorites but high leas favorites then his sister could be of interpretation that his character is given in certain fan-works (like the Aether Harem, such horrible thing, it ruins his character) and even factors like gameplay or even just disliking his design.
For example, in the 2022 Touhou Popularity Poll, by the surprise of everybody, Flandre Scarlet ranked in the Top 1, this being thanks to her return and sudden role as the protagonist that fixed the incident in Touhou 17.5 and the music video Internet Survivor, while in other Popularity Polls, Reimu and Marisa were always number 1 and 2.

I think I can explain Dori's position a bit, Being.... She's just not got a lot of likable traits. Her role in the story quest was scamming us, like you mentioned people find her JP VA grating, there's people who don't like how stereotypical and culturally insensitive her design is, and she doesn't have a place in the meta... That's a lot of things against her. It's not like she's a bad character exactly, just doesn't really have anything people would like her for. Personally, I don't feel that way towards her. Mostly because I don't really have a least favorite Genshin character lol

i think a better way would have been to have people create a ranking from 1 to 64 from most favourite to least favourite. assign each place points like 1st place gets 64 points whereas last gets 1. then add all the point for each character and find out the exact ranking of every character.
Much less people would vote because it'd take a lot of work, I doubt it'd even reach 1000
Yeah. I think this was the best way for a sample size but positions as an optional second form called more detailed ranking could have made been alright. Though it's hard to say because I know my top 5(Eula, kewing, Fischl, Ganyu, Venti) and my bottom 3 (Dori, Shenhe, Nilou,) but ranking where I would put like childe or Sara I would have no clue for 90% of filling it out.

I would also love a video that compares the ratios of how much characters get voted on for least and most favourite. Like for example, a character being voted on 5 times for least favourite and 100 times for favourite would have a way bigger ratio than a character being voted on 80 times for least favourite and 120 times for favourite.

Yoimiya being top 3 in favorites and then just 58 in the least favorite is just amazing. She deserves all the love in the world.
But in reality, it's probably just in this community, no way she's actually more popular than Raiden, like, that's cap, even as a Yoimiya Stan.
The only not surprising thing about this list was Hu Tao being #1. Like, she's got everything in her favor, quirky personality, being from liyue and having great voice actors make an amazing character, as much as I don't like to admit it.

Raiden is far more hated by some people, and Yoimiya has very little to no negative things to be said about her. Even tho I like Ei, but imo, that's not surprising.
I would find it interesting to have another poll where people can choose several chars for example having several votes available (That can all go to the same char or split between chars) I'm not sure...

What I got from this is that meta isn't necessarily a huge proponent in most favorite characters but it is for your least favorite. I can't really think of a reason why Xinyan would be #2 otherwise (unless her english va lol).

@@kison7715 I loved when she took off her hairpins in the summer cutscene. On another hand, she said she had them bc she wants it and don't care about being disliked by others for her personnal choices. It would have been a more meaningful lesson if her kit wasn't so bad...

I actually like her English Va, though I like Xinyan in general. I do perfer the hair down hairstyle a lot more even though idm the current hairstyle.

At first I didnât understand why some characters got so high on the disliked list but then it clicked that there wasnât a criteria by which to judge the character, like story, personality or gameplay so when I keep meta and losing 50-50 in mind it kind of makes sense now

She's the best overworld unit in the game since the majority of her dmg comes from her e (without side effects like hu tao) which is always available, no need to worry about er.
