The difference between keqing and noelle is that even though they’re both workaholics, noelle doesn’t force the work on you and tell you to start working, while keqing is always trying to make you work too and make you a workaholic too.
Yup! Same with Ganyu and Jean, they may be workaholics as well but it's something they do to themselves and they're otherwise very sweet and endearing. Keqing on the other hand is like an overbearing boss you don't even work for.

Funny you mentioned “she seems like a 5 star” when you mentioned ningguang. She was initially intended to be a 5 star but Mihoyo realized that they needed at least one other geo 4 star aside from noelle, and they also needed an electro 5 star so they made Kequing one. That’s why somewhat strangely, Kequing is less important in the story but is a 5 star while ningguang is a 4 star despite being way more important.
So that’s why keqing felt kind of mediocre damage-wise

@@Mehieddin7 Keqing is the Yuheng (lower grade than Ningguang), and lore-wise, she can't spawn a fucking platform with three Ballistas on it or move a gigantic floating palace. Moreover, she can't fly.

“I’m a female character so my only flaw is that I just care and work TOO MUCH!” trope is very popular in Asian countries, but I agree, it’s getting OLD.
Also, I’d be interested to see if any Asian Genshin players also feel tired of this trope. I have to believe it isn’t just a western thing. Shit gets boring and 2 dimensional once it’s the defining characteristic of more than like….3 characters. It’s also so similar and hardly different at all between them. They struggle with being overworked or workaholics in the EXACT SAME WAYS. That doesn’t make for a very compelling character.
I’m Asian and I’m tired of overwork trope even tho I really like Kokomi her personality is not great she’s almost the exact same tired woman like Ganyu or Jean except the energy part. The only thing I like about Kokomi is her design and gameplay or that one part of her backstory about how she’s forced to do the job she doesn’t want to do because of her bloodline.
I mean can't deny that keqing is one of the most popular characters in the CN community
I'm Asian and my first 5 star was Keqing and I was ready to rip my hair out because of the amount of times she said stop procrastinating. For me the overwork trope isn't that bad but there is too many characters with the trope so like everything after too much of it it's just boring and you get sick of it.
Lazy asian here. Yes I'm tired of it too xD I wanna rant about keqing and ganyu but they're my best friend's favorite characters so I just stay silent.
Kokomi is such a disappointment because I was looking forward to her character the most the moment she made her first appearance in 2.0. I'm biased towards unassuming but genius military strategists. It's a shame that hyv didn't do her character justice with the way she was marketed beforehand. The way they showcased ayato's cleverness in his story quest was miles better imo.
I can give jean a pass cuz she's the most realistic one among them. If you read her lore she actually likes romance novels which is an slightly endearing detail about her ngl. Also she's our first overworked lady so I don't remember disliking her for that. I just wished they gave her more personality besides being class president material.
Not really overworked but i disliiike ayaka. I enjoyed her quest but the more I think about her the more I realize she's dull af. Ayato had much more personality than her even BEFORE he was released. Idk maybe I just dislike female characters who rely on the traveler's company and validation. Reeks of waifu bait
@@f4llenleaves dude, YES. I’m soooooo over ayaka. She’s the tired “princess who longs for a taste of the normal life” trope given human form. Apparently someone over at Hoyoverse LOVES her tho, since she got THE BEST story quest and that incredible animation where she gets her vision. Also, the amount of simps for her saving all the way from beta was just embarrassing. I don’t care how good of a unit she is, NO CHARACTER should entice you to save every pull since launch. And yes, people did that.
Also, yeah Jean is the only “overworked female” tropey character I’ll accept since she still seems pretty down to earth and sometimes wants a break but doesn’t feel like a knight of her stature should ask for one.
I think Diona is really funny. Her backstory and personality is cute and funny. The delay on her sheild forming kills me. Also Fischl is great. Her personality is fun her design is amazing and as a physical dps shes fun to play

I understand your gripe with Ayato, but I think that is just the English version. In other languages he doesn't seem to be a snooty rich kid at least to me. He more like a responsible older brother brother with a little touch of mischievousness.

Yeah I’m kind of sad they butchered him but at the same time I really like pretty yet bitchy characters so I don’t mind his eng dub that much (also I’m tired of every character being a paragon of goodness and I’m especially sick of the responsible workaholic personality that!s so common in genshin so I’m glad they didn’t do that). I do think he has by far the best ingame model (at least when it comes to face/hair) and I love his boba animation. Still, he’s probably my 5th or 6th favorite character (with 1st being the one and oni of course)

If we speaking about personal preferences in Genshin characters…
love everything about Childe. From his grey morality to tricky and rewarding gameplay(if he crits lol and this is also some kind of fun bc you can do endless jokes about it). His attack and burst animation, his back story, his voice lines and philosophy, the fact that his character combines references to Russian, Italian (and Greek, yes, I'm looking at you, Ajax from the Iliad) culture and the archetype of a "bad but kind at heart guy who is cold-blooded enough to follow any orders of the boss he faithful" and a bloodlust warrior. And at the same time, you still recognize him as a local neighbor's park who constantly brings trouble and does some crazy garbage because of which the neighbors dislike him.
And all this opinion is very personal and not objective bc I am russian myself and I see at this type of guys something familiar and dear, something that appeals directly to my soul and simply does not allow me not to sympathize with this hero. Still, I think the Hoyowerse writers and designers did a good job. I rarely like characters enough to make even annoying traits seem charming. nevertheless, I understand why many do not like Tartaglia, and yet I understand that even this fact fixes this hero even more strongly in my heart

Out of all the genshin characters, Childe has the best writing. He has a decent amount of depth (amazing amount of depth for a gacha character) and his writing has a mastery of contradictions. The one sided friendship with the traveler is so funny and a little sad. His shamelessness is refreshing
I have never seen a character who knows they're doing bad but still do it anyways done so well, (Dottore also fits in this category but he doesn't have as much depth so far. We'll see in the future) which was really nice to see. Generally, he's a character I have not seen enough of
I also love his game play. His game play requires you to pay attention and to think, set up correctly, and execute well. Basically, he requires a basic amount of skill and will punish you for not meeting the requirement, which is not only true to his character lore, but also just way more fun gameplay. It's also why I like Cyno, even if his skill requirement is just using his skill at the right time, it's still better than completely mindless gameplay that most of the characters have
The best characters create a divide within the community, people who absolutely love them and people who absolutely hate them, because a good character makes you feel something. That is exactly what Childe does

Totally agree with you on itto. Everything about him is so great! His gameplay, personality, design, voice lines, story quest and even his VA is amazing ( especially english and Japanese ). Without him I honestly think I would have given up on genshin.

As someone who initially didn't like Itto, mostly for how his personality seemed to me, I must say.. I love his personality. He's so fun, and eccentric. And I honestly believe that the VA did the best job in the game at portraying a characters personality into their lines. (I play in en)
is English va also voices ryuji from and a few other characters i love but i genuinely love itto. his playstyle is so much fun and satisfying
For me I am shocked that he was in top 10 but first place is a joke, Kazuha much better design, much more fun to play, much cooler and Itto is higher than him?

My top three favorite five stars are shenhe, Eula, and yoimiya. Shenhe and Eula have some of my favorite stories and they are so pretty and they are kinda alike as well. And yoimiya is so cute, her personality is amazing she’s so fun (in my opinion) and her story was really cute as well. My favorite character is beidou overall, but need to give yoimiya that spotlight.
My least favorite charecter will get a lot of people mad but I HATE razor, not because he’s dog or whatever, I hate his play style, his wolf guy is so ugly , he is so boring to play imo

my fav character is yoimiya:
- love her fast attack
- love her idle animation and attack animation
- really beautifull fireworks
- love her bubbly personality but can be serious too
- love her voicelines and how cute she sound in every language
- love her design (clothes) but i thinks it's kinda uncomfortable
- i love her hair. if we look it from behind when she's walk, her hair kinda looks like butterfly wings (it's just my opinion)
i really love her and i'm glad she's my first limited 5 star character, and she's the first character that i crown and double crown ^^
Agree to this. Also to add, gameplay wise, the back view and front view is awesome unlike other characters who looks awesome only at front.
I would also say the same thing for Ayaka, but there's this meme with her big forehead exposed and I cant unsee it when looking at her from the front. Lol

Yae Miko is a full package, maybe not in Gameplay though, but her personality and design is just top notch, she even got popular before her release
Got to agree. They did her so bad with how they screwed her gameplay.. If she didn't have so so SO many issues with her kit she would be one of, if not the best characters in the game. - someone who's not a simp, not obsessed, didn't pull her, but just have a good impression on her as a character
My favourite character has to be Diluc. After scrolling through literally every single comment, i could not find a single person who liked Diluc x'D, therefore i am dedicating my comment to him, (although my other favs are Eula, Itto, Benny and Xingqiu!)
Lore wise/tying in with personality he is great. To get his more detailed lore, you would have to dive into the webcomic, but i love that even though he has quite a typical backstory for an absolute edgelord of a character - dad died, got betrayed, stuff like that - he is one of the most genuinely caring characters in my opinion. He is not overly in your face about being kind, yet from voice lines and other points, you can tell that he holds a significant amount of concern for others' wellbeings.
Appearance wise i can accept him being quite mid. Compared to other characters, his design is fairly bland, yet i love how it works for him. He does not need fancy pieces of armor or unique headpieces, his simple yet sleek outfit reflects his character quite well, and his red hair ties in the design to make him stand out as a very fiery individual : literally.
Gameplay wise, i love it. In well over a years worth of daily playtime with Diluc , i have honestly never gotten bored of how he works. Though his kit is way more simplified than most other units, his playstyle has a way of just being satisfying. The simple hit , E combo never fails to feel satisfying, and the ult is not only beautiful, it also can hit very hard most of the time. I do agree that there are some annoying flaws in his kit, mainly the fact that as a close range fighter, his moves knock back enemies a lot, yet this becomes less of an issue and more of a slight inconvenience in certain situations when you learn how to play Diluc more effectively, as well as how to handle stamina, (and coming from a player that dashes a lot in battle for no reason, Dilucs knock back issue has almost never posed as a problem.)
I am very biased since he is the character i have dedicated the most time to, yet i do believe that he is a great character that has not been represented in game well enough, (his backstory was barely touched on, his model is quite a downgrade from his 2d art and his kit has been powerkrept by some degree.) I know a lot of this is due to the fact of him being one of the first characters to be introduced, but i just hope he gets a glow up soon, (and hopefully some more cameos in future quests!.)

I really love diluc in every way. he used to carry my team and was one of my many main dps characters I used, but I used him the most. and since I was struggling a lot with the whole making sure I had good builds and elemental reactions, he was a good solid dps. even though i don't use him anymore (and am sad i have a c1 of him) he is still one of my favorite characters. his game play is kind of basic, but it was fun when I first started and that's all that matters to me. also I love his design sm.
*Those are my top 8. Lorewise and personality.* Since I'm not a player.
*1)* Kamisato Ayato, my man. He is noble yet shrewd. Willing to go any lenght to protect both his nation, family and he knows that noble actions alone.
*2)* Zhongli, his backgrounds and he's amazing character overall. A good example on how immortality, loss but also healing can affect someone.
*3)* Diluc is amazing on his way. He is the ONLY redhead character so far. And before you say Aloi or Tartaglia, those two are GINGERS.
*4)* Kaedehara Kazuha, his voice and haiku dialogues are endearing. Also, I love his design. And he's the reason we are introduced to Inazuma.
*5)* Xiao. My gremlin king. But I preffer to hear his chinese dub rather than english.
*6)* Kujo Sara. Her backstory is touching and have a lot of potential. And it really pissed me off how the story throw her aside.
*7)* Aether. Because he WILL have his moment to shine. I believe.
*8)* Dainsleif. Because his mask, his power and design.

I like ayato's personality, but it's not my favorite either. He does seem like a pretty nice person, and even though he doesn't love all the political trickery he's had to become a master of it to insure the stability of his clan and family. Not the biggest fan of the rich kid attitude, but I don't think that's the only aspect of his personality

Despite being a Keqing main, I’ve never really cared for her personality, personality wise Hu Tao would be on the top of my list, she’s fun yet tolerable that she doesn’t make me feel socially drained, not to mention she loves dark humour and pranks, I just love her personality
I love Hu Tao and have mained her since her release, and I really do like her outfit. But I would be curious to see her in a skirt/dress or even something else entirely. Overall I just wish we had 1-2 additional skins for each character so we can switch things up every so often
I'm sure we'll get there eventually but I'm still shocked at how slowly skins are released given their price and how many seem to buy them.
@@Ratheil yeah honestly man. i'm really surprised they didn't do any halloween/christmas skins, i was 100% expecting something like a halloween themed hu tao skin. really hoping they'll do them more often in the future
@@Ratheil Agreed. With the amount of characters released.. No one can tell me it's easier to make a brand new character from scratch, gameplay, animations and lore included, than to make a skin.
I feel like the difference between Noelle’s workaholic and Keqing’s workaholic is that Noelle’s workaholic is more self-sacrificing for others while Keqing’s is a bit more selfish.
Keqing is an idealist first and everything else later, she believes that Liyue as a whole would be a lot more efficient if she worked all the time because when she’s working, things get done. She could easily pass on said work to her workers, but her ideals lead her to believe that handling things hands-on is most efficient rather than getting someone to do it for her where she has to hope that they can take cate of it.
Basically, her workaholic nature is like: why put a letter in a mail box when you can just run it over to the person yourself. Sure it would be more work for you, but you could get it there yourself much faster than the mail system could.
At least that’s what I get out of her nature anyways.
My top 3
1. Itto (his story quest is phenominal, his VAs regardless of language really make him shine. Gameplay smooth and powerful. No one can beat yeeting a cow into your enemy face)
2. Zhongli (same as Itto, put him down here because of Osmanthus Wine. Can he please stop talking about Osmanthus wine for a second?)
3. Kaeya (Lore wise he's fantastic. Good back story, can't wait to see his roles in the future when the traveller explores more of khan'riah history)
Now here comes Ayato. I love his design and gameplay (great for taser, very smooth). His personality is meh (I guess). I wish his story quest focuses more on him than other NPCs.
My top 5 (in no particular order)
- Itto
Love him to death. His gameplay, his look, his personality, everything is perfect and his story quest solidifies why I love him so much.
- Yoimiya
Same as Itto, I love everything about Yoimiya.
- Beidou
Amazing design, strong as hell both gameplay and lore wise, genuinely one of the coolest characters in Genshin
- Shenhe
Relate to her in the way of trying to fit into society. I grew to love her after her event, which has one of the best cutscenes ever. qwq
- Amber
Mostly biased for me. I love her personality and I've grown to love her since she's the first person besides the traveler that you get (meaning that I've spent most of my time playing with her in the party.
My bottom 5 (in no particular order)
- Kujou Sara
Don't like how serious her personality is (to an extent, shes is kind of a Karen)
- Diona
Not a fan of a child trying to take down an industry by joining it
- Xingqui
My least favorite look from the short shorts to the weird haircut

Side note, mine is Venti. He is 10/10 on everything for me even if you can't pull every single enemies in Tevyat, his elemental skill is strong for those bulky groups. Bright personality, drunk on certain moments, but secretly hiding his strength (lore wise) that he is either lazy to show or just saving for emergencies. "Wouldn't gliding be faster?" is now my life motto 👍🏻
Venti is amazing, I love how he's a very light hearted character but has a lot of depth as well, he's more than he initially appears.

Top faves for me, in no particular order
Eula, Kaeya, Xingqiu, Albedo and Mona then it's Ningguang, Beidou, Bennett, Chongyun, The Archons, Thoma and Itto.
The first five have my favorite designs in the entire game, specifically their outfits and appearances. I know Xingqiu gets a lot of flack from the drip department but honestly, if you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't. Like, Xingqiu is literally peak character design from the slanted everything to the undercut it's just excellent plus he's cute and a nerd.
Eula is someone I liked because her personality is very funny to me, her aesthetic is to die for with how sleek it is. Kaeya is on a similar page with Eula but I find him hot lmao. Albedo is gender incarnate while Mona, despite having my least favorite outfit ever (at least prior to the new skin), her personality, the way she puts on airs and is an astrologist really speaks to me! I'm a Leo so, you wouldn't get it but if you do, congrats! Beidou was my main early on and she's just very comforting to have as an early AR player while Ningguang was someone I adored very much recently plus her hangout event made me like her a LOT more than I thought I would.
Chongyun is just cute and funny, I don't really ship him with Xingqiu like everyone else, I just think they're funny. Bennett is Bennett, I like him for the same reasons as Chongyun. The Archons are...well, they speak for themselves.
Thoma and Itto are what I like to see NSFW of from this game, that's what keeping me hooked despite not being able to get Itto and Thoma's not useful for anyone aside from Hu Tao whom I don't really like.
Bottom Five!
Childe - I don't like seeing him anywhere, he's annoying and his fans are insane.
Hu Tao - the novelty fell off pretty fast and she looks a bit too plain for me, not to mention I don't really care for her.
Ganyu - worst design + outfit in the game so far (Shenhe and Rosaria prior to skin a close second) I don't care if she's meta. Her hair is terrible, her personality is being a pushover + people boobafy her to death.
Ayaka - forehead, Ayato's flop sister.
Keqing - She's not really appealing to me in any way, hating on her is funny though.
Special Mention: Scaramouche, he's not edgy, he's not cool, he's just a prick and his fans are also insane. Annoying brat.
Anyway! I love arbitrarily ranked videos like these with no sense of objectiveness whatsoever, I think they're refreshing because they're not about numbers or anything.

Finally some xingqiu Stan. I like him as well especially the shorts and the hair cuz they're the most iconic parts of his design. Have a short male character with that hair and tiny shorts, we'll immediately know it's xingqiu. And the gold accents on his clothing are very pretty too
we totally have the same taste, I have zero hype for ganyu and feel conflicted bc she’s good. but I’m f2p so there’s no way I’m ever pulling for her.
and xingqiu is everything to me style wise. I adore his color scheme, I love his personality and that he’s a writer, I his design is top5 for me in the game. it’s true what you said, iykyk
@@user-uc6vi7dt7d Xingqius jackett thing is EVERYTHING. It looks so nice, I love the blue/gold colour scheme as well, and I especially love the sleeves.
I might be biased but Kaeya has had a grip on me ever since I started playing. His lore is so intriguing, his design is so cool, and I live to see how him and Dilucs relationship is being somewhat repaired over the course of the game. It makes me sad how he’s characterized in the fandom bc his personality is really his best attribute, especially considering all he’s been through. I wish people wouldnt just see him than just a flirty, crafty guy and dig a little deeper.

5:18 It’s weird, I didn’t really like it either at first but after drawing a bit and realizing it’s a sort of “Kamisato motif”, matching Ayaka’s headpiece and the frame of Ayato’s Kamisato emblem on his back & collar, it grew on me since I wouldn’t have it any other way 😂
Honestly i like Keqings personality, idk why, i just like her bossy personality and the like fed up workaholic vibe, idk it makes me feel efficient ig?
I fist bumped the air when seeing Yoi in the top 2 since she's tied for my fav character. Itto is also in my top 6 fav characters also
While I understand the contempt for Keqing, I genuinely appreciate a character who can bluntly tell you what's on their mind with no reserve. I absolutely hate beating around the bush, whether on my end or someone else trying it. And its not like Keqing is a self-absorbed bitch, she listens to others' opinions and admits when she's wrong. I'm biased towards characters with the capacity for self-reflection, so she lands in my top 5 for personality. Gameplay is an absolute blast too, even if she's objectively weak.
Other than that, I share a lot of opinions on this list. Yoimiya and Itto absolutely dominate in personality. Ningguang has the best design in the game imo, extremely well-done. I'm shocked she's a 4 star. For gameplay, I don't want to rate any individual character here, since Genshin is a team-oriented game, but I will say, Sukokomon or "Soup" Reaction teams is the most hilarious and amazing concept ever that takes full advantage of the complexity of the elemental system, and my dopamine skyrockets when I see a million numbers fly everywhere.
I just wanna say thank you for putting time and effort into making these tier lists, even though most of the time in screaming at my screen in disbelief at how you rank some characters I still love to watch them and enjoy your videos! :)

currently, my top 5 characters are:
1st: venti. love him a lot, his personality is super cute, he’s got a cool ass outfit (love the cecilia in his hair, and the corset) and his gameplay is rly fun. i love creating wind currents with his skill, and his lore is very intriguing and he’s still.. very mysterious to say the least.
2. yoimiya. her design and personality is top tier. you dont get to see a fireworks maker in genshin every day, and her hairstyle & the head ornaments are really funky. her gameplay isnt the absolute best in the game, but its still really fun abusing the heck out of the auto-attack button and seeing all the enemies get swept. (hate auto targeting though) i dont have her, but ive played with her a couple of times during test runs and events, and i will try to get her in her next rerun.
3: kazuha. his design is awesome, love his red-black-white colour scheme and the red streak in his hair, reminds me of autumn leaves (which im pretty sure is his design concept) and his personality as a calm, poetic wandering samurai. not to mention that his gameplay is very fun.. i’ll try to get him in his rerun too, as i just started playing when his banner was released in june. although, i heard that he was rerunning with yoimiya, so as a dolphin that only buys welkins and topped up once or twice, i’ll probably have to choose between one of them.
4: jean. her design is a bit lacking but her playstyle is very fun!! i love sucking in opponents and yeeting them off high cliffs, i do have her at c1 so it does do more damage. her personality is very nice, a hardworking woman that doesnt know how to take a break. (i know ganyu also has that personality, but i don’t like her playstyle so she is not high on my list). i may or may not be a little biased towards her because she was my first ever 5 star in genshin and i have liked her ever since.
5: raiden shogun. her design is probably one of, if not the best in the game. her garments are designed wonderfully and the design of her kimono is beautiful. her playstyle is very fun, and her pulling out the musou isshin and slashing all the enemies at once is very satisfying. the concept of her using a puppet to rule inazuma is very funny, because imagine if you could do that in real life and just stay at home while another copy of you goes around doing all your work for you.. her personality isnt my favourite but i still like her nonetheless.
honorable mentions are: ayaka (came home in one pity, luckiest situation ive ever been in in genshin, her burst is also very fun but auto targeting sucks), kokomi (god her design, colour scheme & attack animations are so good), hu tao (fun gameplay, cute personality, attack canceling is very tedious though), yanfei (cool animations, hitting the t-pose while her enemies burn. also she’s a lawyer which is very awesome) and keqing (cool animations, very fun gameplay although i havent gotten her yet) and noelle (cute design, carried me all the way until ar 30 something.)
my favorite is hu tao, she´s committed to her theme in all the best ways. and surprisingly her personality is centered around the theme without being one note. unlike characters who can only think about one thing like "cooking" "rock and roll" "work"

My favs are basically my main team
Kokomi: at first I felt kinda regretful for spending my guaranteed on her but her gameplay is amazing and it really changed my way of playing co-op because now I know who I will use without worrying about dragging others down, her design is SO PRETTY and her personality.... I kinda like it, I don't know too much about her yet but she's realy interesting.
Chongyun: one of my main dps, my boi. This may sound weird but I really enjoy his gameplay, it's simplistic yet so satisfying, spamming my burst is also lots of fun! Massive drip, nothing else to say about that. And I LOVE his story and personality, he's so determined about his goals, the whole yang energy thing has a lot of potential and I just think he's neat, plus his voice is amazing.
Xiao: my favourite. 10/10 in everything, love his design, love his gameplay and his personality and story are just amazing, I find his unintentional edgyness really charming and kinda adorable + I'm really attached to him. I did sooo much preparation before his rerun so I could use him straight away xd. He's also super spoiled in my account
Albedo: 10/10 like Xiao, sadly I don't have him. His personality is soo amazing, his story is interesting and I just want to keep learning more about him. Design, he made me a simp.
I also really like Xingqiu, Gorou and Kaeya, but they can't really compete with those three above.
I also forgot to name Bennett, I love Bennett, he's just the best in everything and unlike many from what i've seen I love his design and clothes, they are unique imo. But he doesn't want to come home
I don't really hate anyone in this game, I find some people kinda boring but none make me want to push them into the Enkanomiya hole
I personally value personality over everything else, so Razor, Klee and Tighnari are my favourites
my top 3 favourite characters are yoimiya, chongyun and albedo. (i will go in depth with albedo)
- albedos design is my favourite in the game, his lore is really interesting + hes really sweet and a hardworker, gameplay is simple and damage payoff is big
- yoimiyas personality is easily the best in the game imo, and her design is really cute and reflects her personality quite well, i personally really like her hair. it bounces when you walk!! gameplay wise, shes a machine gun and i love her for that.
- chongyun is probably the drippiest 4 star and that is a FACT. his design is what made me really like him when i first started playing genshin. gameplay wise, hes very similar to albedo (probably why i like him). quick e skill placement that increases atk spd and his ult is a quick nuke that also has quite a bit of range for a claymore character. i think the fact that if he comes near spicy food or anything hot, his personality completely changes is hilarious.

i really love and appreciate albedos lore. his origins are really interesting to me and ive always asked why he was created or what his purpose was because as far as we know he couldve been created all the way at the dawn of khaenriah, but why? hes also super sweet and one of my favourite interactions is between him and sucrose where he insists that sucrose doesnt use honorifics when addressing him, but she uses them anyway. i think its super cute.
second, his design OH. MY. GOD. the colours match together SO well. purple and gold are one of my favourite fuckignf colour schemes and along with the white lab coat, EVERYTHING just complements each other so well and it feels so sleek and clean. i cannot express how much i love his character design. HIS HAIR TOO its like half up half down and also the reason i decided to cut my hair LOL
finally his gameplay. hes a really quick jump on field place flower and leave for 2 years, which i get can be boring, but the damage payoff for refreshing and using his e regularly is incredible. it also has a huge range and short cd, so if you need to reposition it, its very easy to do so. hes one of my favourite sub dps' for this reason and also why i like chongyun for mostly the same reasons.
Razor will just be my all time favorite regardless of how many new characters I get. I have no idea why this introverted and depressed wolf makes me feel so calm and happy everytime I see him. It almost feels like a sin not to play him atleast once a day
I actually wish to see Razor on more quests alongside Bennett or Klee so he wouldn't be too depressed but I feel like Hoyoverse hates Razor lmao

I don't think they hate razor, I'd actually argue they're quite fond of him for a 4 star giving him his own story quest and his lore is great too being taught by both the Wolf God and Lisa, who is arguably in the top 5 smartest people in all of Teyvat. Plus, he had a great role in the Windblume festival AND the Golden Apple Archipelago. We've actually gotten a lot of Razor content in comparison to a character like Chongyun who basically, besides his hang out quests, we haven't gotten much of.

Mine:
1. Kaeya - i would live and die for my king. Triple crowned, high investment. I love everything about him. His relevance to the story, his personality, his design, his eyepatch, his gameplay, his voice, EVERYTHING. I don't regret investing in him so much. I'm still working on giving him the absolute best artifacts just because I want him to be the strongest he can be. It's what my king DESERVES. Oh, and he's never leaving my teapot too. He's always there in front of the house to greet me when I come in lmao
2. Itto - he'd be number one if not for Kaeya, but I love everything about him as well. I was initially planning to get Albedo but when I saw Itto's trailer I was sold. I skipped Albedo, who I've wanted ever since my friend played as him (I was not playing yet when his banner first dropped). Anyway, Itto is just incredibly FUN. The fact that his gameplay is immaculate is just a happy lucky bonus for me because I think I also would have been happy to get him even if he didn't hit like a truck. Fun gameplay, fun personality, fun design, fun voicelines. His story quest was INCREDIBLE. I just love him a lot.
3. Venti - Venti's special because he was my first 5* ever, so he'll always be in my top five. Amazing gameplay, very useful skill and burst and it has helped me out A LOT during my journey. Very cute design, I love his lil beret and cape. His story quest straight up made me WEEP. He is also my favorite Archon, because despite being an Archon, he feels incredibly human.
4. Yoimiya - wanted to get her the moment I first saw her. Such a nice design. I wasn't a huge fan of bows before (despite being a huge fan of Venti), but she converted me. Super fun gameplay, I was sad when I saw people hating on her because she's "not as strong" as the other 5* characters. I don't care, that's my girl and you will respect her!!! I like the lil fireworks show that goes with her charged attack. I'm always pointing that shit to the sky (and accidentally killing birds) when I'm bored lmao
5. Thoma - listeeeeen I know his gameplay isn't the best, but I would 100% marry this man. I don't even care. I love his entire personality. I was blushing throughout his entire hangout. He was so CUTE. I'd do ANYTHING to see his sunshine smile. To BE the reason for his sunshine smile. I'm crying just thinking about it i REALLY fucking love Thoma. 😭
Keqing has been and probably always will be one of my most favorite characters. It's probably due to bias. She was my first 5* ever and really carried me throughout most of the game. And her gameplay is insanely fun but now is in dire need of a buff. I think the personality aspect for her really suffers though because she lacks a proper story quest. And unfortunately, her role in this year's Lantern Rite was just recycled from Jean and Kokomi's story quest. Her new skin was really the only thing she had going for her. So as much as I love her, I understand why others don't, and it honestly feels like even Mihoyo doesn't know what to do with her. So I really hope Mihoyo does something more with Keqing in the future, whether it's a buff or an actual story quest
Lets be real. The Moonchase Festival and Lantern Rite II are her story quests, and Hoyo will probably continue to tell her story through events just like Albedo (who has a story quest, but it's one of the worst in the game 😂). And in both Moonchase and Lantern Rite I just didn't really care. She's basically another workaholic like Noelle, Jean, and Ganyu. But the difference between Keqing and the others is the uptight, strict, and judgmental personality.

Keqing doesn't need a buff. Unlike other characters like Xinyan, she isn't fundamentally broken, and she works how she is intended. Keqing suffers the same fate that Diluc and Razor do: powercreep. A well built Keqing is able to complete all endgame content in the game, and you don't really need much more than that. Hoyoverse shouldn't buff characters that really don't need it when some characters literally don't work the way that they are supposed to
I can honestly write an essay on how I like Keqing, personality and design-wise.
But if I have to surmise it up to one sentence, it's that I love her honesty.
Not afraid to speak her mind, while also being open to criticism herself. Now that is a trait that I admire. Moreover with her personality, she gets her things done. Something that all of us procrastinators are struggling to do. 🤣

Hu Tao:
-She got the nukes
-She got a pretty good design and personality
-She Made my day when I got her (She is not leaving on my team whenever Im grinding. except for spiral abyss and domains)

He's a blast fun to play with and his personality is just amazing and he's kinda of broke, relatable
Imma be honest I felt the same way about Diona at first until I found out her shield is for some unholy reason one of the best in the game nearing Zhongli level of rankings (granted with 0 of the good qualities like resistance reduction). Just stacking HP made me able to tank stuff from Charged Lawachurls and the Mechanical Array and because her shield is so tanky I was able to finally slap a Bolide set on my Yoimiya without any issue of having a good shielder or energy issues with Shimenawa, plus I can give her a free 200 EM for Vaporize so that’s even more awesome.
She’s singlehandedly my best glue unit on my account, she makes my Raiden + Yoimiya team so much fun simply by just giving everyone on field a free 200 EM so seeing Raiden do 5k Overload and 3k Overcharged in her burst mode and my Yoimiya doesn’t like 70k Vaporize and 10k Overload is so much fun.
She’s a Mini-Zhongli and while yeah her catty personality can be a bit annoying sometimes she’s such a good utility unit that it’s hard to have a team without her (plus her stamina reduction and speed boost when shielded helps with some overworld stuff).
The only character I legit dislike is Tart. Never liked egotism and masochism, and he's both of those on top of being a terroristic murderer just for sake of doing it. And so, as a meme, he's the only character I will keep at Friendship 1 w/ 0 exp. Can't even be honest with his little brother, who looks up to him admirably. Maybe he'll find out what he truly is and then change his view on his older brother. Maybe he'll have redemption? Signora certainly didn't wantnany. Who knows. Until then, keep him away from me. 👍
while xinyan is my favorite at the moment (in basically every way (even if she isnt good i really enjoy her gameplay, especially with how her shield interacts with the sacrificial greatsword)), i have a very strong feeling that a certain blue woman will take that spot about three weeks from now.
My top 5 for in terms I love :
1) venti - The og husbando that got me to continuing to play genshin, I love the drunk bard personality and he’s gameplay to me is one the easiest to use once you get the hang of it. (However you cant put him in some teams/areas, which is a huge turn down for me)
2) itto - I love him, like I dont need to explain. He’s just a great character with amazing gameplay and designs and a funny personality to my opinion. I regret not getting him during he’s banner so im hoping on winning the 50/50 with him during he’s rerun.
3) Eula - I love the dance aspect of her gameplay, I love the elegance with her design, I love how she’s a physical damage character more then a elemental one. However her personality isn’t the greatest. Still love her and I’ll just have to try and pull for her again during her second rerun ;w;.
4) shenhe - same with Eula, very elegant in gameplay and design but her personality is ok. Not the worse but ok.
5) yun Jin and fischl - I love the both of them so I cant pick who’s going into the 5th spot, I love how yun Jin is a opera singer and so is her VA and I love how fischl is just a huge weeb lmao.

1) Sara - design I like, game play is ok, personality is just a borderline Karen -_-
2) keqing - same with sara, design and gameplay I like but the personality is just not it.
3) childe - I don’t actually hate him lmao, he’s a good character however he isnt my first pick in terms of “Oh who’s your favorite character in genshin” however damage is a different question . The main reason he is in this list was to just piss off my friends lmao.
4) Yae miko - I love yae dont get me wrong, but her gameplay lacks so much potential and I feel like there so much more to do with her. If her gameplay was different she would definitely be on my top 5 list of characters I like.
5) diona - not a big fan of a teen cat girl whos trying to kill a industry, idk there’s a lot to say about diona.

First time I've seen a vid of yours and all tier list are very biased and subjective and this is all based on your views and perspectives of each character and I really respect it. I'm the opposite for one thing I'll point out, I'm not a big fan of characters with constant cheery personalities with the rare exception of Amber since she's the epitome pf niceness. I'm into the more serious and dark types like Diluc and Rosaria. I DO agree with you on Itto though. I love characters with funny personalities.
Amber supremacy
I’m also not a fan of overly cheerful type but I love Amber bc her cheerfulness doesn’t come off as toxic positivity, she’s not annoyed when you get sad or forced you to be cheerful too or steamrolls you with her cheerfulness. she’s outgoing in such a way that she really just wants to help MC and also the city. she’s totally lovable and charming imo.
and, as often mentioned, she’s one of the few people in the entire game who actually helps MC out in their quest to find their sibling, everyone else just uses MC for their own errands
Amber supremacy
Amber is my most favorite in gameplay but lacks popularity

His personality is so freaking relatable especially the part about social interaction being tiring. I also love his (probably) unintentional flirting and the fact that he eats spiders. He has so much lore crammed into him and it’s wonderful. Overall, I like his calm introvert scientist vibe. Design, is beautiful. His eyes are very pretty, and I actually don’t mind his in-game hair. Like, yeah it could be fluffier, but it doesn’t make me want to tear out my own. His gameplay is pretty fun, I hate his split scaling though. Also I’m always torn between him and Kazuha and Venti in my teams because I really like to have cc but.. Albedo..

I’m hoping that she doesn’t come home because I already have her c2 (crying), but she’s such a precious little bean that I’m determined to use her. Her backstory is tragic, and I like tragic backstories, and her teapot lines make me want to cry. Not much to say about design, the braid is a little weird but the hat is very cute. The talismans are also pretty cool. Gameplay, I’m kind of bad at dodging so I like her heals. The yin-yang ball thing is a little confusing though, nobody talks about it and I’m not sure how it’s relevant to her story.

He’s such a fun little bard, in personality and gameplay. He has two sides to him, the usual playful broke bard who sings in exchange for wine and apples, and the lesser seen, more serious archon side. And I like that, especially when the archon side shines through. His design is cute, I like the green, the hat, and his eyes are almost as pretty as Albedo’s. The burst is really fun, but not when he shoots it into some corner instead of the middle and costs me like ten seconds trying to kill that one treasure hoarder who didn’t get sucked in.
Bottom three
-Rosaria
Personality is too cold for my taste. She was also sneaking around during Albedo’s quest, so extra points docked for that. I do not like her fishnet leggings. The alternate outfit is loads better, but really, she looks more dead than Qiqi. Gameplay is nothing special.
-Ayaka
Personality is too bland. The analogy with vanilla ice cream is something that I agree with. Hair is a little weird, her dress is cute but I don’t understand why her breastplate has jiggle mechanics. Gameplay is actually quite fun though. However, alternate sprints are not something that I enjoy.
-Noelle
I know that many people like her knight maid sort of vibe, but for me it’s meh. Personality is kind of bland in my opinion, mostly just soft, sweet girl who likes to assist and also happens to be very able to kick ass. I just don’t really like soft sweet girls in general. Design is ok, I do like the shoulder piece and the little roses, but overall not very eye-catching. Gameplay was fun during my early days, I liked smacking things and healing. The aesthetics of her abilities are probably the most boring out of every character in the game though.
Edit: replaced Zhongli with Noelle
Before you completely disregard Noelle, let me just add this. Most people take jeans statement about not wanting Noelle to join the knights of favonius at face value, that jeans thinks Noelle is weak. But for a beginner 4 star, she’s incredible and an absolute tank. I think that the real reason is that, Noelle has always been caring for others, to the point of putting off her needs for theirs. Jean knows this and fears that she’ll end up sacrificing herself for someone in a fight. Another thing to add is that during the stormterror attack, Jean and the others made sure that Noelle was out of town doing errands far far away, that way she wouldn’t help.
If that didn’t work, oh well. I main Noelle but I can see exactly why most people don’t like her

1. kazuha. good lore and story, personality and all that and honestly you're so right when you realize how hard it is to get kazuha off your team. I REALLY tried to put venti back into the team but scrapped it because kazuha is just instant fun and so much more satisfying.
2. venti. easily my favourite personality, easy gameplay like just use the skill then ult and ur good plus I like his attack animations, and him being popular for theories in the lore community for way too much stuff tying back to him. also i loved his story quest.
3. albedo. I thought he was neat even before 2.3 but my god did that event skyrocket how much I liked him. being lore heavy also has stuff to do with it as we got more and more info about things connected to him well after 1.2 and everything in the 2.3 event was just the icing on the cake. also I kinda really like the idea of just placing down his flower and attacking to get this big burst of geo dmg every couple seconds. simple but it gets enemies killed instantly.
4. yun jin. stole me with the opera cutscene and I love her design more than all the female characters. gameplay-wise I appreciate the normal atk buff and countering is so fun. havent done her hangout yet unfortunately but that's cause I'm saving it for a big content drought.
5. itto. I dont even have him but my god is he fun to play and his personality? top notch. eng va really nailed it.
notable mentions in no particular order:
- scaramouche. actually my favourite character but he's not playable... yet.
- ayato. the rich boy attitude just makes me laugh (the eng chest voicelines 😭)
- yoimiya. sweet but just a little too much for my taste.
- hu tao. incredibly fun personality.
- childe. if it wasnt for that outfit.
- beidou. most badass character there is.

1. diona. bro I just can’t like her and I kinda despise her design.
2. keqing. I like her slightly more than diona but her workaholic personality I also hate a lot (the entire second lantern rite just being us trying to tell her to stop overworking and then shes just like "I know" put a sour wtf taste in my mouth)
W opinion Kazuha is a walking W and Keqing is the biggest L in genshin impact when it comes to personality
@@wisteria7052 oh i wrote this a year ago lmao anyway since its been a while the updated list with the sumeru characters would shift a lot since i think they are generally better written but kazuha still at the top there ofc. Just under wanderer/scara. I’ve actually grown to like diona a little bc she runs the cat tail and the tcg gameplay happens there so we get to see more of her but keqing is still a no from me.
5. Albedo. I never cared for him until I played his story quest and he’s very interesting. I love his voice and design. Hopefully his rerun isn’t anytime soon bc I’m saving for Kazuha and Itto
4. Yoimiya. I love her personality and design. I didn’t really try to pull for her specifically but I happened to get her and I don’t regret it. She’s cute and when built correctly she’s different and fun to play as
3. Zhongli is the second reason I started playing this game. Mainly because his design is such a banger and his shield helped me so much
2. Kaeya is the reason I started playing this game. I love his design, personality, his voice, but I wish his gameplay was more fun

When I first saw itto I was 100% sure I wouldn't like him. I used him in the inazuma festival thing where you fight things with free trial five stars and he really just wasn't for me. I skipped through most of his part in the event quest and honestly found him kinda annoying.......... then came chasm part 2.... I read some of his lines about yanfei being his "savior" and was like "oh no I have to sit through this ugh" then I heard the way he said the last part of one of his lines early on in the quest and instantly loved it. I absolutely adore how the va delivered the lines and he was the only character I wouldn't skip through after I finished reading just cuz of how hilarious the delivery is and especially when he fought with paimon just **muah** chefs kiss. Ngl it makes me very tempted to pull on his next rerun (which i will probably do tbh) just to go through his voicelines and of course have ushi

You learn a lot about yourself playing this game. Who knew I d be into Ayato´s voicelines. There is just something special about being happy about finally finding a chest and Ayato saying full of distate "OH...you collect these.."

was sold the moment I saw him in the webtoon, love the deadpan with good humour type
2- Yoimiya
love her design, characterisation, gameplay to an excent and just her everything. Her story was one of my favorites :)
3- Yelan
LOOK Her design and gameplay are so new yet so good?? Poker/Casino related characters have a special place in my heart.
4- Scaramouche/Kunikuzushi
His background really shows the dark past of Inazuma and I’ll admit The Husk of Opulent Dreams made me a Scara apologiser/Yae Miko hater..
5- Venti
Favorite Archon at the moment. Same reasons as Yoimiya plus his voicelines are either funny times or comforting the Traveler

I wonder if Ayato would get a personality upgrade since the update they did on his voiceline about Itto. It went from cruel to slightly endearing. That update, at least, led me to giving Ayato's character a more generous outlook. No one in game should be trash talking the One and Oni with that much spite like that original line.
For me aesthetic is the most important and Genshin has one of my most favorite tropes in Rosaria: a combat nun. Badass, bloodthirsty, powerful all for the sake of protecting others
My favorite design is probably Ayaka, and she is a nuke in gameplay as well. I love her JP voice and she's just so sweet and want some friends (the player).
My second favorite design is Ganyu and funnily enough she's also a great Cryo DPS. She's sweet and reserved, although her obsession with Rex Lapis and her contract is a turn off for me.
My thir favorite is Eula, love her design, great DPS, and her "revenge-dere" personality is kinda funny although too extreme at time.

Honestly, I love the traveler, I love dendro support, I love their interactions with Paimon, not the biggest fan of Lumine's design especially compared to Aether's. I also love Barbara and I love putting dendro traveler and her on the same team (+ my razor rn) for hyperblooms

I dont know if you did this intentionally but I liked that you switched to Life Will Change on Itto due to him having the same English VA as Riyuji.
Your assessment of Benny is basically the opposite of mine. I love his personality, design and gameplay. The short E cooldown gives you the option of playing him in a similar way to Diluc, weaving skills and normal attacks together. I don't really use him a lot though, I blame the fact it took me a year and a half of playing and literally having all standard banner 5*s before finally caving and buying a copy of him with starglitter because he refused to show up in my pulls
my favorite characters are probably Itto and Kokomi. I can just never get enough of Itto's personality and me and my sister quote him constantly, also his construct is a dancing cow and he is precious. As for kokomi so it is a it of a personal bias since she was my first ever five star, hydro is my favorite element, and I have a thing for mermaids. Also I love playing healers.
I pay attention to the travelers and they can be a really goofy & caring person with this otherworldly vibe but they lack in dialogue as u mostly get it through the dialogue prompts u get to pick or if u look at their profile, not including abyss sibling here they just feel like theyre out for something and would rather be mysterious about it. Also genshin really lacks making the player care about the relationship between the siblings.

Despite me not having Shenhe, this just made me so excited and happy
I skipped her on her release banner, cause I didnt have Ganyu nor Ayaka at the time, i was waiting for ganyu's rerun and her rerun was close after shenhe's. I know i couldve pulled for shenhe and just pull for ganyu later on, but i aint a whale lmao, i had to choose one, but every single day that went by while shenhe's banner was up, was just sooooo painful. It was soo hars not to pull for her. I just love her playstyle soooo much, and for some reason, i find her burst animation (both cast and the persisting effects) amazinggg
The only thing Beidou can't do is get her burst back
As a Beidou main, even with 240% Er on Yelan, 200% Er on Jean, no matter how much Er my team or my Beidou will have, she will never get her burst back 😂
It's true, it's brutal, it would help if swap countering was more reliable but sometimes monsters just whiff entirely and you swap for nothing.
Playing Beidou is like giving all the enemies a massive accuracy debuff.
Beidou was my first main and is still my favorite character to play. I have a roided out Ganyu that does loads of damage... but I can never get over how good it feels to Perfect Parry and then Charge Attack with that attack speed bonus. So Good.
Qiqi's skill was the prerequisite for anyone who wanted to use Childe's skill. She made you wait
