Eula's E gives her back a shimmering effect and her hold E with the lightfall sword is pretty amazing imo.
Yeah, imo you have to include the grimheart stacks and the shattered lightfall sword from her A1 passive when judging her overall skill animation.
Should have been higher but it’s an opinion video so I can’t complain.

Animation-wise only, I'd say Venti, Childe, and Hu Tao are the best. No one really comes close. Hu Tao and Childe have the advantage of having infusion. Meanwhile Mihoyo just put so much effort into animating Venti's hold E.
Eula's held version with 2 charges of Grimheart is comparable, IMO.
... Zhongli's E skill is pretty commanding tho ngl. I'd put him in S tier

Did you know that in early leaks, Yoimiya’s Skill Activation Animation had her do a lil’ spin as well, when entering Niwabi Enshou???? I am forever bitter they took that out, cause that little twirl had SO much personality, it’s a HUGE shame.

Hope he does! Keqing does trash damage, but shes fun af and that's why she (in my opinion) is underrated- she's not good in the meta. But, video games are about having fun, so even if your main is trash, it's fine, at least you'r having fun with them

Some Childe love
I was actually surprised how many I ranked highly in the end. Not what I expected from the skills.
Hu tao’s skill gets bonus points from me because she gives a mischievous grin when you first cast the skill and it’s amazing.
It’s always nice to see Tartaglia appreciation. As Childe main this is always warms my heart
the only thing I like about zhongli's pillar is that it looks like an infinite hourglass kind of thing, like a representation of his immortality. It goes down through the ridges and then back up the sides over and over.
I think the "pet" skills are the best ones. (Amber's Bunny, Itto's Ushi...)

I think those are boring. They have nothing to add to the character. The pets are characters themselves.

When he agreed childe's skill animation was SSSSS I felt that. it's satisfying to watch and use.
The reason why I like diluc is his E so I was really shocked when you put in C, however you're right with the Childe take

That would be a fun video
as a childe main, hearing your thoughts about his animations was pretty nice! I remember getting into genshin through a video back in 1.4 where someone displayed all the characters and their animations and when I saw Childe's I thought "ohh the water and everything looks so pretty, i wanna play that one!" out of everyone we had at that time - and that never changed. I'm a bit burned out with genshin, but there's nothing more satisfying than his animations + a group enemies & riptide
Also like someone else said, a tier list on how fun characters are to play would be interesting as well! I was contemplating to do one for my own channel, but I only have 13 of the 5-stars so it wouldnt be every single one. I think It'd be interesting to compare how good a character is in meta vs. how fun he is in the community - and how some excel in both or proved themselves within the community, e.g i remember pulling for Kazuha because he looked fun, but people called him trash. Or Keqing. I love her playstyle and I'd say she's kind of my 2nd main, but I know damn well tons of my other well-built characters can do way better dmg with worse stats and I just use her for my own enjoyment. Would probably also be interesting to see how the sides of the community are, people that play for dmg and people that play certain characters just because they're so fun

Yeah I feel mostly the same for this tier list. Childe riptide is soooo satisfying
The sparkle coming from Albeido's skill is so cool he's an easy A
Hu Tao also does a cheeky smile at the start of the skill animation
Just got Raiden and dude, her play stile is simply gorgeous in every way. Saw it on videos before but it doesn't compare to when you're doing it yourself. Would main her even without the crazy broken damage she deals.
Ittos skill is sick imo it’s like Itto is sending a giant punch to his enemies which really suits his street gang boy style.
I will just put it here. Diluc's skill is ATLEAST an A with multiple Pyro slashes and that shit's just iconic. And for Ganyu it's an easy D

For someone that played some alloy, when enemies are hit by them(little cryo bombs), Alloy get cryo infusion.
Also Zhogli skill tier is C

Also talking abt keqing skill, on constelation 1 she gains a little electro explosion from where she leaves to where she goes, and it extends for the charged attack skill cancel.
I love this series
feeling sleepy and really tired when watching this and fall asleep quickly but i still can hear the background sound in my head and it was so terrifying it's scare me 💀that auto tune thingy 10:44
as a tart main this makes me happy
One of the few disagreements on this video was how Eula skill wasn’t held like slashing enemies with her skill and then holding to create a bomb like attack (help I can’t describe). Improper show of Eula’s true skill- but overall great video as always entertaining to watch
I was just torn on the A4 Skill explosion cause it's kind of the burst animation but also part of the skill. I ultimately decided not to show it but I think considering it as part of the skill is valid which definitely bumps it up a lot.

The 5 star list is quite good I doubt there will be many who take any of these as hot takes... Now when you do the 4 star list... Oh boy...

I think a good one would be ranking normal attack strings? Maybe charged attacks too?
I have a few disagreements but overall kind of agree. I'd move the Traveler animations for Electro and Anemo up a tier each (I consider the swirl effect where it colors the entire thing part of all Anemo animations. For me, that alone bumps most Anemo animations up a tier if they weren't already S)
I'd also consider Eula's extra animations on her E part of it. If we're including Childe's auto-attacks we should be including Eula's stuff too.
Eula, on her tap E hitting an enemy, gets this really sick ice effect on her cape that demonstrate her charges. When she has charges and uses her held e, she has that physical sword thing that explodes. Which I think is really nice (and is the best part of her burst as well in my opinion. Not a huge fan of her cinematic). If we're just judging the e animation, then that would be like Childe's auto attacks not being judged after he e's. So I think if Childe's are being counted then Eula's extra charge animations should be as well.
If we're just going with Eula's basic no-charges, no enemies, animation. I agree. But I'd also move Childe down to like B tier because then riptide and auto attacks after using E don't count.
With the effects after the skills? I'd put Eula up in A or S with Childe but Childe's AA are still way cooler than anything Eula has.
I'd also move Jean up to like A. Again, Anemo gets a bump by a tier because Anemo effects are my favorite and I am biased. Also, collecting enemies (or cats) in that held e swirl is really, really funny.
I'd move Yae down a tier. I just don't think it's all that flashy or impressive like the other ones in S are. The tail is cool, the electro things are alright. The other ones in S are either complicated, Flashy, or just look really clean and nice and I.. Don't think Yae has it on that level. If anything was going to bump Yae to S for me, it'd be the sakura petals. There just aren't enough of them for me to justify that. I wish there were more of them floating around or like, a small Sakura petal pile(?) under the totems would be cool. Maybe that'd do it. Very high A for Yae in my opinion, just not quite there.
I'd move Yoimiya up into A. Fireworks get me, man. Other than my bias, yeah. I can see B.
I'd bring Zhongli up a tier or maybe even 2. What's super stunning about Venti and Zhongli's skill to me is that you can see their elemental icons when you use their skill. On Zhongli's held E, you can sort of see the Geo symbol appear before the shield forms around him. (Though it /is/ a little abstract) The shield itself is great and while I'm not a huge fan of constructs, the pillar looks so pretty with the Geo element pulsing through it (not the stuff on the ground, that's mediocre, the glowing of the pillar itself). I love the elemental power resonating off of his hands on the held E as well. The pulsing is really nice. I'd put it in A.
I'd say Venti's skill is damn near on-par with Childe's. I love the interrupt where enemies fly up into the air. The little twirl Venti does in the air when he holds his E and the Anemo icons/charging up icons within the circle are so cool, especially with the slow spin of them. I LOVE all the feathers and the multiple bursts of wind/anemo when the skill releases. The lyre coming out on the tap E is super cute. The wind swirling around him as he charges it is cool. Everything about Venti's skill is just really great, so even though it doesnt change his auto attacks or anything, it just packs so much into the duration of the held E that I'd say its on par with Childe's.
I was going to mention Raiden's skill not having the electro icon. But it does and I just realized that watching this video. She belongs with Childe in like SSSSS tier in my opinion, then. It was already S-worthy and I was going to say reluctantly so because she didn't have the icon and it was disappointing to me, but she does have the icon and that just makes it so much better. I cannot express how much I love the archons all having their elemental icon within their skill animation and how much that completes their skills for me.
Im surprised I very much agree with your list. I thought that there might be more controversial placements, given that skills dont get a full cinematic like bursts. But maybe this changes with the inevitable 4 star version of this video!
That being said, my opinion people will disagree with is, that I dont like any of the pet skills we have - except Oz if you want to call him a pet. Instead of pet skills, just give me something to punch enemies with and not watch a pet dance midst the battle.
I like Ganyu's E and would put it at B because when you agro a ruin guard, you can use her E to dodge the missiles in a badass matrix type of way.
Being able to change visual effect and color depending on the elemental absorption, Anemo Travelers deserved a mention to it and probably 1 tier higher than it should be, because it definitely adds variety to the aesthetic aspect.
Since not all Anemo characters has that.
Also, Geo Travelers and Zhongli deserve another 1 tier higher simply because Genshin is one of few games that put extra effort into Earth elemental visual effects. Most RPG usually just put a slob of boulders or pillar of rocks with plain stone or dirt texture, in this game, they actually put decorative structures, or "construct" (according to their term), with neat motives and neon lights here and there.
Definitely worth mentioning as well.
I did consider elemental absorption in my ratings I just didn't mention it because it's not unique to anyone in particular and just wanted to judge the animations for what they are as a base.
I personally don't like the structures or Geo effects in this game too much outside of Zhongli burst. I find all the structures really tacky or just ugly with Zhongli's pillar being the least offensive of the bunch because it's a bit more ornamental. It is a list of my personal tastes after all.
@@Ratheil lol yeah I can totally understand your point of view. Zhongli's burst doesn't even look like typical Earth elemental magic after all. More like Non-elemental or Fire magic to be honest.
I kinda feel for characters like Diluc and Eula there are skills are at a disadvantage purely because I assume their skills are more or less designed to be part of a NA string

Zhongli and Diluc should be higher, because their skill packs multiple animations. Hu Tao, Itto and Mona should be lower for the opposite reasons. Mona's E definitely shouldn't be higher than Kokomi, since it's a 2D image versus complete 3D jellyfish
Diluc has just about everything better once you equip the new skin that he has. It's got new sound effects, new voice lines, new design, a much darker theme thanks to the fire being a much darker red. Just about everything that was kinda "meh" for me with diluc became amazing and I just love it
Also, I prefer the burst line of "Dawn break forth" over "time for RETRIBUTION", that shit just sounds cool
You Missed Eula's held version after the 2 charges. It adds 3 Icicle Swords falling into the Enemy plus it lights up her sword even further. I agree that she belongs in D if not for that, but those make her S tier to me. You should check them out
as 1 of the 5 qiqi mains,

Even though I don't really agree with a bunch of them, I respect your opinions a lot. One reason for this is unlike some other creators who push out content similar to this, you don't actually attack anyone who disagrees with you in the video. So yeah, I think you're really cool.

@@mordock2728 i know, but its all look pretty similar one of each other, and we usually see it in a movies. But eula with her dancing movement, and zhongli dropping and kicking spear. Its just top notch
Zhongli's is definitely top tier material, a lot of the polearm users are as well. It's a shame that none of them are specifically designed to be attacking with their normal attacks.
The only thing i would change about this list is eula. I would put her in b. Her skill has way more going on than what was shown or talked about. Her cape glows an ice sheen and the swords that comes out when hitting an enemy with the held version are really nice. Also the tap and hold have different spin and ending animations. Is it a or s teir nah... but don't sleep on our girl

Though ayaka’s current skill is faster so looks better for gameplay, I will forever miss the pretty twirl she did in the beta version lol
The only thing that sucks about Tartaglia's E skill is the hellish cooldown if you use it for any more than like 3 seconds and the inability to plunge.
The animations are amazing though.

Venti’s E hold is so similar to Revali’s champion skill from breath of the wild down to the animation, and as a dude who loves revali Venti’s E is one of my fav

I was watching the footage at the end of the video, and how did you have Raiden’s burst up so fast??? Is Yae that good at energy?
Nope just tons of Energy from Raiden's ER and killing monsters fast. When you take out a Lawachurl/Ruin Guard that quickly pretty much everyone will get their burst back instantly since they give so much HP threshold energy.
What's your opinion on Yelan?
I may be a bit biased, but I'd say her skill is s-tier, because of just how cool it looks and how satisfying it is to use.
Oh easy top of the list, I just love all her animations so much!

when in kokomis ult, the jellyfishes appearance changes, in the ult i would say her animation is an S
I think it was kinda weird he went into depth with everyone else’s skill and even Hu Taos how it affected her normal attack animations but completely left Eula’s at base. Didn’t go into how it looks with grimheart stacks and the mini explosion it can do. It’s way more but he completely left it out

In my opinion Eula's skill deserved to place higher because I think you may have neglected the way she can charge it up and have two swords fall from the sky with the hold variant. And if we are talking flashiness- Many people don't know this exists in keqing's kit but if you throw the lightning stiletto and use a charge attack, the stiletto will explode instead doing small electro damage. Thought she deserved an A tier.
Diluc and Hi Tao has the exact same Skill, but was ranked very differently.

For Eula do the stacks attacks count (doing tap and then hold skill on an enemy)? Or is it just the skill like that

The traveler IS a 5 *.
So Jean really can't be the Anemo version of them as a 5*.
It's likely semantics, but just phrasing it that way makes it feel like they are 4* and might get you more grief over things like that at a later date.

I feel like not showing the full extent of Eula animation is not really fair, the frozen cape, the potential 2 ice sword raining down and the light sword exploding is pretty cool right?
