Man, there's just something in Zhongli's demo that makes it so good and somewhat unique in comparison with the others.

Easily SS tier. He is in a league of his own.
Honestly, Albedo and Hu Tao should have been S-tiers. The aesthetics and tracks fit their personality AND character relationship are shown, which isn’t done often (Klee and Qiqi) or well. Honestly they we so so iconic
His claims are highly subjective. The reason why i usually avoid such tier lists.
Old Xiao main here--Xiao's demo is impressive and beautiful and dramatic, yes, but also as a lore player? There's hints in his demo that have barely come up in the game yet and _that's_ exciting in itself
Xiao's really out here being there for us chronic pain spoonies and I love that for him
I think for me part of the magic of Kazuha's demo is the both visual and musical references to other samurai/ronin stuff. It takes a lot from Kurosawa movies and the opening of the anime series Samurai Champloo. One of the interesting things about Kazuha is that despite acting so chill around us, he's had a tumultuous life and he can be kind of ruthless in battle, so I feel the chaotic hip hop fusion suits him and his contradicting nature quite better than you'd think. Being strictly objective I'd personally put him in the A tier, to me it's just as good and fitting and memorable as Xiao or Albedo
we also see kazuhas aggressive streak come out several times in the game like how he scarred the tressure hoarder or how he just suplexed a fatui in 2.6 event
The Hip Hop is kinda wasted on his because in the drum event, the theme associated with Kazuha isn't even his demo music, it's his teaser's

that intro in klee's demo is iconic. And the intro was actually quite a viral meme where people edit text in the style of the intro. And It was not a genshin meme, it was regular meme. Goes to show how popular the klee demo is
I personally think that Xiao and Eula deserve higher but to each their own
I feel like Eula could have had a bit more fighting showcased but agree. Thought they aren't as iconic as the s tier ones.
personally think Eula's should be A tier. it showcases her, her dislike towards her family, her moves, and a amazing dance which apparently also has story to it

Here’s a fact I heard from others and personaly do myself: Whenever a new demo comes out, you watch it and then watch Zhongli’s demo to make sure it’s still the best.
Became a popular tradition at this point.
For some reason people don’t seem to like the kazuha demo’s musical choice and I could not disagree more. The rap vocals paired with the Japanese style music creates a pairing that feels so in tune with his character as a carefree spirit, and as someone said, what is rap, if not poetry to a beat
Yeah, I agree. And the way everyone claims that Kazuha's demo should have entirely Japanese music which doesn't actually fit him? He's a wanderer, NOT a person who lives in Inazuma. He loves his homeland, but if anything, having such a modern feel to his demo is more fitting. It's both cultural and brand new. Exciting and elegant. I think it fits him perfectly
I still like Drifters destiny better than his demo music, that theme is just so much more transcendent. His demo could have been better
Eula’s makes me so happy, I can’t explain it, but she has this “hidden freedom” in her music where it’s very elegant but also very erratic
The thing about Kazuha's demo, at least to me, Is that It pales in comparison to his teaser. I'm not a Kazuha fan, but his teaser gives chills, I love the visuals and the music, and It fits him really well.
Klee demo is still my favorite to this day. It just makes me happy.
What is really interesting to me is Fischl's demo. It was the second to ever be released, and it's drastically different from the ones around it. While kaeyas demo, the first one, follows the style of the vision falling down followed by the white character screen, Fischl's is much closer to the style we have now, going from Cutscene into Splashart into combat into cutscene. Even though compared to the new ones, it's really not too great, the style is easily visible. But the strange thing, is that after Fischl, the first demo to actually follow that style was Venti, as the standard 5* and some 4* got the style of the Kaeya demo. This, along with the fact that Fischl has her own Character tales/teaser video, makes me think they used her as somewhat of a prototype.
Edit/Addition: this is a theory on my part, but I feel like Jean and Diluc didn't get a demo because they were in the game since the first? Beta test, whereas Keqing, Mona and Qiqi were added later
ventis, xiaos, and eis all hold a special place in my heart (ESPECIALLY THE MUSIC)
As soon as i saw Klee's demo being put into S tier i just knew that this tier list would be top tier👍

Albedo has the best demo in my opinion, music reminds me of Mario and the visuals are definitely one of the best
I think i agree with EVERYTHING except maybe Albedo's one xD I don't even have him or like him all that much but his demo just hit different to me
Remember: it is TRADITION that for many to REWATCH ZHONGLI'S character demo whenever a new one drops. It's because for some, Zhongli's demo was the og drip demo they've witnessed. And the repeated views are why Zhongli has the highest viewed character demo!
man thats over now zhongli's demo is mid compared to what they're coming up with now. Ayato, Yelan and now Wanderer. They're just leagues above Zhongli's.

Tartaglia is actually the one that I first saw and which made me fall in love with him and later the game. His music hits hard and it makes the constellation scene so much more powerful than it already was! The way he perfectly slides off the waterfall into his banner art is something I would love to see more!
zhongli’s demo is the one that made me feel interested to play genshin. and it’s still my favorite demo
Zhonglis demo just takes the cake, sure its not as extravagant as nahidas or eis, but his ost is just *chefs kiss* whenever the beat drops
The amount of views on Zhongli's demo might've been partially due to advertisment. I was getting SPAMMED HARD with it, it was like every 4th or so ad.
I'm a little late to the video, but I'm pretty sure Zhongli and Eula's demos have a lot of views because they were both chosen to be CZcams advertisements; I remember both of them being played around a year ago which actually got me to start playing the game!
I appreciate opinions and rarely get mad at them.. but Albedo’s is such a S tier
Yeah... I like Klee's but Albedo's is easily >= Klee's at the bare minimum
For me the "I will have order" In Zhonglis demo is so powerful
I think Ganyu's OST is great for her, but maybe it's the visuals that don't match up as well?
The music reflects her generally calm/melancholic demeanor at first. But we know is that she overworks herself, so the music picks up to a fast beat. But then winds down again, because she overworked and is now sleepy.
I also like the long notes of the wind instrument, because it's like her melancholic aspect.
And the way the music escalates slowly, but still has a beat drop is like her reluctance to fight but she's still a veteran of the Archon war.
Putting Eula in B........you like to live dangerously huh?
My personal fav that ranked a bit low in your list is childe's and kazuha's. I like childe's theme a bit way too much and it fits childe's carefree personality but also understandable why many people don't really like his demo since it feels like something is missing. Kazuha's demo did an incredible job at introducing inazuma since he's the first inazuman character to be released so it kinda set the tones for the upcoming character (I mean, look at those 2D artstyle flashes!) I like the haiku too just feel like the end is kinda rush. Albedo's demo could be considered as S tier too as it spoiled his 2.3 lore
I love how Klee makes an appearance and performs on Albedo's demo. S tier on my list, but well put. ✨
Does anyone here disagree with the albedo take? I'm not the only one here right?!
Eula's demo sent me on my way to the game but I have to agree, Zhongli and Klee is waayyy up there compared to hers.
Zhongli's demo still give me goose bumps.
Personally I like Eula's demo more than Venti's, but for the most part I agree with your rankings
I could only hear Vetrom's version of Eula's theme, when it was playing. My mind automatically plays it.

I absolutely love Kazuha, but I have to agree that his demo isn't really my favorite. It looks really good and everything but like you said in the video, the music doesn't really fit his character who is pretty much always calm and collected. Yes, it shows that he can be a really strong enemy to face, but still I would have maybe liked it better if it showed him in a calmer aesthetic like the beggining and the end of the trailer. Still a really good demo though, I like the fact that it's in Liyue, it doesn't feel off since he's a wanderer (I know it's because Inazuma wasn't out yet at this time but still)
Paused it just as Albedo's started just to pop down here and say--Theres A Reason there's ten bazillion edits of Albedo's demo over Marina's 'ancient dreams in a modern land'
The sibling charm also has an impact

I think it would be cool to rank the 4 star demos. While most of them don't come close to the 5 stars, I still think there are some really nice ones in there and the styles are different enough to rank, despite the lower budget than the 5 star ones
Love this list so far, though I'd put Albedo a bit higher cos I love the visuals for some reason :)

just wanted to mention if we look at kazuha,s demo might be from the time he lost his friend and just met beidou so his personality might be a little weird that time and the trailer might want us to see that?

Hu Tao was the first character I knew I was going to get no matter what, and it initially prompted me to pull on the weapon banner too. I was one of the lucky few who didn't need to spent money for Homa
Hutao takes the cake for me. Her demo was probably the first one that started getting really experimental with the visuals and the music and it was a blatant success. It will always be my fave, not just because of how good it is, but also because we wouldn't have had such cool and original demos if it wasn't for her.
when u were watching tartags demo I couldn't get out of my head that his head spins when he jumps off the cliff when u said that scenes really cool
i'd love to know your thoughts on honkai's character demos (they're basically only in the trailers for the patches), even if you dont know the characters, i highly suggest watching at least some of these: 5.2 (infinite future, mobius's banger demo), 4.8 (the phantom of the theater, starchasm nyx/seele/veliona's demo), 4.6 (unequaled unrivaled, herrscher of sentience's demo, easily most popular), 5.6 (elysian reverie, reverist calico/pardofelis demo, amazing visuals and music) and 5.1 (pristine realm, elysia's demo)

Personally, Albedo's demo is my favorite, in part because I love the his music so much.

Rarely do I say it but I have no issue with the placements. Klee's and Zhongli's demos still rock to this day
Lmao ironically elua's and albedo's demo music I kept repeating all year last year, still do tbh, especially ever since the first genshin concerts, the remixes of the two were my favourite on there

They kinda failed to bring childe's demo justice. It doesn't show the joy of chained riptide. Think even the devs probably didn't realize his gameplay potential yet.
Loved the video! Just want to share some of my opinions on the demos haha
For me personally Xiao's demo was an easy S tier,(and honestly still remains one of my favorite demos) every time I watch the demo I get so immersed into the video and the story, the music always keeps me on edge and it just feels so cinematic always keeping my eyes glued on my screen. It honestly gives me goosebumps every time I watch it.
And every time I watch the demo it reminds me of how much I love xiao. (i started playing because of him)
It also made me realize I honestly prefer the more highly intense demo with really intense editing and the ones that show unique visual scenes. Or ones that are just really immersive. I really just like the ones with pretty editing and show the characters in a very charismatic way rather then upbeat fun demos. I prefer these intense / hype, pretty ones (i.e albedo's demo, xiao's demo, ayaka's demo, raiden shoguns demo etc) (bro raiden shoguns demo gave me literal shivers)
For example I love ganyu, I really enjoy playing her and she's someone I'd def recommend however I really...really find her demo pretty boring...same with shenhe's...and I also Love love love kazuha (i've been saving for him before he was first released ) but i was honestly kinda disappointed from his demo. It's good BUT hoyoverse has made way better demos imo
but yeah, just my opinion :)
There's a REASON Zhongli's trailer has 30 MILLION views. Everyone follows the contract to watch his demo when a new one is released...they wouldn't do that if it was ass lol. It's simple and goes to show that less is more sometimes. Yes, there's noisier demos, but Zhongli's is just so fucking clean.

Man this was so much nostalgia. I wish Childe started with the bow and then had an animation where he changes stances and gets serious. Would’ve made for a nice simple and compelling story that sells the gameplay

I have to agree with you there on Kazuha's demo. Personally I like his theme on the teaser much better and find it suitable to his story, the longing and somber of being far from home at the beginning, I still listen to the theme on his teaser more often than the one from the trailer
I love the way that in hu taos he chose like the worst possible times to speak over it 😭,

The Korean and the Japanese version for Klee's demo has her making a noise as Klee comes to a stop compared to the English and Chinese version where they don't make a noise.
