  • Venom & Fire is a film about a signs following church in Middlesboro Kentucky. It features the late Pastor Jamie Coots and his son and daughter Cody and Katrina Coots. The film was directed by filmmaker Brandon Faris who currently resides at LEAPframe, a Cincinnati video production company. The film was a 2012 finalist for the Doc Challenge. It screened at Hot Docs Film Festival in Toronto Canada and was awarded Best Directing and Best Original Score. It went on to receive "Official Selection" at the 2013 Brooklyn Film Festival.

    Color and motion graphics were created by Cincinnati motion design artist Ryan Woolfolk. The cinematographer was Cincinnati director of photography Alexander Elkins. Assistant editor and camera operator was Sam Webb.

      Pastor Coots daughter sang the track a cappella in the key of Am. Later I added the dobro. She is a wonderful singer and you should hear her live during a service its a great experience.
