Power Rangers is such a rip-off of Super Sentai. It's not like the plot is usually completely different and it's officially licensed by toei.

I think it's the show representing Super Sentai fans in Japan and how some of them can't stand the Americanized Power Rangers. But I could be misinterpreting that...

To me, I like to imagine that the power rangers are just an alternate timeline version of Super Sentai, being one season behind because of "Morphin Grid" lag.
These were honestly some hella cool facts. The fact that Super Sentai acknowledges Power Rangers this much makes Power Rangers really feel like it's own thing. It'd be cool to get a crossover of sorts one day.
There was one episode in Power Rangers Dino Thunder where the Rangers watched an episode of Abarangers (using in-universe English dub).
Actually in Go-Busters it was the enemy's giant mechs that were called Mega Zords not the go busters
Exactly, I think the mecha for the rangers were called Buster Machines.

actually the megazords are not just the name of their enemies but it is also the name of their mecha. despite the fact that their megazord had different names, they are still being called as megazords by go busters

@@Manel-dq2kb or the times in megaforce where they transform into Sentai forms that were never adapted into the PR shows or the fact that they didn't cut Super Sentai characters that appear in the final battle episode, although this is more of an error by Saban's part than a real easter egg.

Gokaiger also had a reference towards Power Ranger. In one episode when they are trying to get Carranger's grand power. However instead of pulling out the Carranger Ranger keys, they instead used Turboranger's. A reference to how Carranger's counterpart is called Power Rangers Turbo.
No, it was a mistake by gokaiger because both sentai's were car themed, power rangers were not involved.
@@dr.danger5392 yes they are both car themed. Though you can not deny that they made a small reference towards Power Rangers Turbo. How that series is based on Carranger and how there was a sentai team call Turboranger. I still believe it's a funny mistake that the Gokaigers made.

Like mentioned by others in the comments section, Gokaiger has many Power Rangers references. One episode has them changing into the wrong suits. (In Japan PR Turbo is known as Carranger, but there was another car-themed season prior called TurboRanger.)
That was played off as a mistake on the teams part since only Gai knew so much about Sentai.
If Hasbro is producing Beast Morphers, they should keep the phrase "It's Morphin Time".

A couple of references that some people may not be aware of: Dino Charge's Gold Ranger and Graphite Ranger hail from the country of Zandar, the name of which is a reference to Kyoryuger's Kyoryu Gold's weapon, the Zandar Thunder sword.
Additionally, the planet that the Dino Energems originated from is called Sentai 6--a reference to Super Sentai's 6th team Goggle V, whose power sources were also gemstones.
Continuing with the Kyoruger theme, Ramirez's actor stated that the idea for the 'Spirit Rangers', Kyoryu Cyan and Kyoryu Gray, came from Jungle Fury's spirit rangers. Sentai treats his little brother well.

You completely forgot about Get In Gear that was in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger which was a reference to Power Rangers RPM!! When the Gokaigers changed into Go-Ongers!!

Gokaiger they had the Go-onger tires move. Just luke RPM. Though they disnt move in Go-onger.
It would have been cool if, here in America, Power Rangers was like a spinoff for the kids, but they still released subtitled Super Sentai on VHS and DVD and stuff for the hardcore fans. Having both would be really neat.
Of course we have SOME subbed Sentai legally now, but a bit late...

Dunno if this counts as a reference, but in Ryusoulger, the mecha Pterardon kept shouting "Mark Dacascos" to combat his fear of Pricious. In Saban's Bioman pilot, Mark Dacascos played the red ranger there.

I'm surprised you didn't include the reference in Gokaiger when the team are supposed to transform into the Carrangers they transform into the Turborangers, a sly nod to Power Rangers Turbo, which adapted Carranger
Do you know, Yoshi Sudarso also cameo in Ninninger, and Rita in Super Sentai Strongest Battle. Also, Spirit Rangers in Kyoryuger is also references to Jungle Fury one. Ramirez is played by Robert Baldwin. Like Power Rangers which majority white people. Indonesia is the one of Southeast Asia who think if Japan conquering Power Rangers by making Super Sentai which they think rip-off of that. America was thinked to be superior in Powerful Rangers episode of Akibaranger. The only countries that accepted Super Sentai outside of Japan is South American and European, which both are soccer countries.

In gokaiger the rangers become the go-onger team and they use their cuffs to grind into monsters this was used in power rangers but was never used in their own series

Before Messiah invade Research Center, Megazord actually a good robot that use to carry heavy materials and Yellow Buster's mother is Megazord pilot. So, Megazord is the predecessor of Go-Busters mecha, (buster vehicles)

I think the biggest reference is when the Gokaigers referred to their keys as “Ranger Keys.” A clear callback to their American counterpart as the Super Sentai have never referred to themselves as “Rangers.”
Edit: I forgot that a lot of the Super Sentai had “Ranger” in their team names such as “GaoRanger” or “GekiRanger.” But still I feel like the “Ranger Key” name still pays some sort of tribute to Power Rangers.

Yeah the last part was real as hell for both power rangers and Sentai fans to complain about each other. They act like two legends can't coexist. But also another fact there was a Japanese localization of power rangers in the Japanese dub for SPD and they did use the same actors to voice act their American counterparts.

Super Sentai : Touei original series for children (but some dark topics can be brought) airing since 1975 on TV Asahi, since 1979, changing team, theme, logo, etc each year. With crossover movies between two following teams released around the end of the season, making the show interesting to follow.
Power Rangers : Saban, then Disney, then Saban again and then Hasbro ripped-off series from Super Sentai, with some skips and replacements, airing since 1992 on Fox Kids, then ABC, then Jetix, then ABC Family, then ABC Kids for the re-version of the first season, then on Nickelodeon, with a Holywood movie rebooting the first season, and since Saban took the brand back after Disney's owning, there's 2 following seasons containing the same team, that is making the thing even worse. Plus, for 22 years, the logo is the same and it only changed recently ??? Power Rangers is my childhood, I love it, but often, it confuses me a lot...
Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger (with its Season Tsuu) : 2 non-official Super Sentai seasons (since Hikounin means unofficial), called EX season (not the only one though), airing on Toukyou MX and then on BS Asahi, in 2012 and 2013. Making fun of Super Sentai and Power Rangers, and more for teenager nerds. I mean, it's a dimension where the Powerfulrangers, a parody of the Power Rangers, are the original series, and Super Sentai, the rip-off one, and the Akibarangers are trying to rip both of them off. It makes me often laugh, because I love both Super Sentai and Power Rangers, and parodying it is the best idea ever.
I think Akibaranger isn't for teenagers but for nerd or otaku adults.
