I’ve had this theory for a long time now, what if Power Rangers Squadron was a team in Zordon’s planet and they were the first ever team of Power Rangers but then got killed after Zordon was turned into a head.
My own personal head canon: the “Squadron” suits were the original suits used in universe, but were eventually replaced with the MMPR suits. Zordon never got rid of the suits, so when a sixth ranger was needed after the Green power coin was completely unusable, Zordon upgraded the White Squadron suit rather than creating a brand new suit.

It's a shame that the main Diarangers suits wasn't used for Power Rangers. Those unused ranger suits could have been part of a story line for Mighty Morphin.
+Akeem Moore My fan theory for how it can be included in Mighty Morphin comics is how the rangers lost their powers in season 3. They lose their powers, the Thunderzords and Tigerzord, go to seek Ninjor and face their trails. However, their new ninja powers include the Dairanger suits (besides Tommy because his connection to the White Light and Saba), not the Mighty Morphin suits. The Dairanger zords are just the Ninja Zords from Kakuranger instead of the Thunderzords similar to how Mighty Morphin season 2 adapted the Thunderzords and White Ranger from Dairanger. This theory will probably never happened but it’s just an interesting theory of mine.
The simple explanation is that Saban thought adding the Dairanger suits early on would make the Zyuranger suits less iconic, since they wanted to increase the profit and brand of the Mighty Morphin series.
I'm disappointed that they didn't give Time Force much love in Super Megaforce. It is one of the best PR seasons and yet they ignored it most of the time, we only got the q-Rex, Pink Time Force morph, and the Quantum Ranger and Wes in the finale

here's my personal head canon. out of universe, they just adapted the footage of White Ranger, monsters and zords into MMPR Season 2. In universe Headcanon: Zordon created the Dairanger powers as a replacement for the main powers, as a back up. But the Rangers lost their zords first, thus still having their powers he adapted the plans for the Thunderzords to be compatible with the main zords. Tommy eventually received the White Ranger powers. But by the end of Season 2 the Rangers lost both the Thunderzords and their powers, thus the Dairanger powers weren't usable, soon the Rangers go to find Ninjor and receive Ninja based powers and the Ninja Zords. The Ninja Power Coins become the new source for their main powers. Thus "Powers never before seen on Earth." because they were never used beside White Ranger.
I'm glad you brought these Rangers up. You wonder what zords they would have since the Thunderzords appeared in MMPR. Dairanger technically did get adapted when taking this info into account, although it was extremely brief.
The easiest explanation is that the Dairangers were an Eltar team that Zordon was a member of, and he based the Thunderzords and White Ranger powers on the Dairanger powers.

Already have a better plan for the "Squadron" Rangers: Thousands of years ago, After Lord Zedd was brutally burned & scared by the Zeo Crystals, he had seek out an alternate source of power to control & rule over the galaxy. Zordon of Eltar, knowing where the powers of the thunderzords was, had taken all of the powers. With Lord Zedd furious, he hunted Zordon to obtain the thunderzords powers. As clever as he is, Zordon used a decoy of the thunderzords powers, placing them in a box, and throw it in a different part of space, to throw Zedd off. With the real powers with him, he split the powers of the zords & the suits. He kept the powers of the Tiger in a secret area in the Command Center, while keeping the powers of the Thunder animals near him. As for the suits, he entrusted them to his student, Gosei.
well that's not too bad. my theory is they're the source of the thunderzord power. since jason, zach, billy, trini, and kim already had uniforms zordon modified the dinozords. but tommy losing his green rangers powers zordon gave the white ranger ability. it could also be the source of the thunderzord power.
I also operated under the idea that Zordon had access to the powers. But my theory is that he'd considered giving the core suits to the rest of the team, yet Lord Zedd complicated things. That, and Jason, Zach, and Trini leaving.
My headcanon is that the Squadron Rangers were the original Rangers from Eltar, led by Zordon (White Tiger) and Gosei (Red Dragon), and fought against Master Vile Revolto, the father of Rita Repulsa and Rito Revolto. This would imply that Gosei's name is partially derived from the Dairanger series title:"GOSEI Sentai Dairanger", as well as from GOSEIger. This fits absolutely perfectly. The Squadron Rangers were the original users of the Thunder Zords from MMPR Season 2 (because those Zords are the Mythical Chi Beast mechas from Dairanger) and when Tommy's Green Ranger powers were sapped, Zordon entrusted him with his own personal Power Coin, the White Tiger (KibaRanger). Later, in Super Megaforce, Gosei entrusted the rest of the Squadron powers (Red Dragon (RyuuRanger), Green Lion (ShishiRanger), Blue Pegasus (TenmaRanger), Yellow Unicorn (KirinRanger), & Pink Phœnix (HououRanger)) to the Super Megaforce Rangers. Nick forces them to do 20 episodes per reason, so both Mega and Super combined are still shorter than either of the Sentai seasons, which runs weekly all year long minus a few holiday interruptions.
I just assumed they were powers zordon made to tie into the thunder zords that weren't used because the dino powers were still good, so if the dino powers got recked they had a backup (as seen with green to white). Dude had a lot of backup plans
Well ye, not even sure why they decided to keep going with Megaforce for Gokaiger, they should have just made a new team and that would have been alot better.
i think it would be pretty good if they made it into the comics. I mean shattered grid arc could tease things stuff that aren't properly adapted into power rangers. Perhaps they could made a story about tommy pre- dino thunder meeting all those rangers team in some comics story arc
Did they ever explain the presence of Flashman in Super Megaforce? We saw both Pink and Green, Emma using the pink crystalline boot and Jake using the green crystalline fists.
I remember researching this, I learned that the White Ranger from MMPR was actually taken from Dairanger footage along w/the Thunderzords. It also explains why the Lion Thunderzord looked more greenish than blackish in the series, cuz it actually was green, & the ranger in that series who piloted that zord was a green ranger.

Same and shortly after I started saying America needed to keep their greedy hands away from Sentai because almost every adaptation of Sentai to pr has been a dumpster fire of dumbed down for "little Timmy" series because "little Timmys' " mommies and daddies couldn't handle their perfect little children seeing Rangers actually die (referring to Gaoranger when a majority of the team was killed so they could gain the Phoenix for Rising Icarus form)

For me I was quite annoyed that they didn’t do a dairanger series because that would be interesting to watch. But the sad thing is that we are never gonna get a power rangers verson of dairanger because they brought the white ranger from dairanger to mmpr and they used there megazords. The funniest thing is that I’m rewatching all of power rangers and the amount of scenes that I’ve seen from super sentai is amazing. Plus if super sentai was never made we would never of got power rangers

Idk what pisses me off more, that they use sentai teams as “never seen before” teams , having footage they can actually use .. OR that they gave those teams such stupid names like “Blitz”
Technically speaking the footage was irregular. The second half of MMPR first season, MMPR season 2, Turbo, some of In Space, Lost Galaxy, and some of Time Force all had pretty similar footage quality, while MMPR season 3+Alien Rangers, Zeo, some of In Space, LSR, and some of Time Force indeed had grainy saturated footage. So you could technically use Dairarangers footage to any of those series between 1993 and 2001. It wasn't until Wild Force that they had a cleaner more up to date filter (probably because it was the first series to completely rely on CGI transformations and they needes as much HD as possible) that it became impossible to reuse older footage, but even then some early episodes still sufferbfrom grainy particles. Given the shift in quality 2001 must've been the year in which Japan shifted from CRT TV to HD TV (tho not sure if flat screen). Not to mention it was the time in which Japan began to shift the target audience towards younger kids and thus a more poppy color palette.
They could've use these suits for Lost Galaxy. Writers could've come up with a storyline where the Dairangers were the predecessors of the Galaxy Rangers and the previous companions to the Galactabeasts. In my head, that's how I'd like to see them being used.

Yes I would love to see diaranger content. I have a theory Zordon wanted to change the rangers powers when Zedd arrived on the scene but couldn’t because he was keeping Tommy’s Green Ranger powers active. And after the rangers were handling Zedd’s attacks just fine Zordon felt that creating a new sixth ranger was a more pressing.
It was Zordon's original team, Zordon being the white ranger and leader, which is why Tommy was automatically made leader when he gained those powers. Most of Zordon's team were killed facing Dark Spectre, with Zordon ending up a head in a tube and the Red Ranger, Zordon's brother, being corrupted and becoming one of Dark Spectre's main lieutenants. This event created a flux in the morphing grid, causing it to seek a living balance, filtered through the conflict between the two brothers. Because of the devastation caused by this event, these rangers aren't discussed openly throughout the universe, hence why we don't know a lot about them. I think, given the terminology of the Zord's, "Power Rangers Thunder Squadron!" Would be a better name for them. This is my theory anyway.
I just assumed they were from an alternate, alternate universe like RPM. So too, i figured Tommy was aware of these alternate universes. Tho, that part was more me filling in the blanks.
The only way that I see it happening is if Hasbro were to do a animated Power Ranger series where they take the costumes from past super sentai shows and animate them.

Actually, they could've used the Dairanger suits for one mini arc in season 2. Remember Zedd's Dark Rangers and how cheap the suits looked? I thought it would've been so cool for the Dark Rangers to use the Dairanger suits (even if the fight scenes with MMPR would've been expensive to make) and reform as another ranger team, allowing them to use Dairanger footage until about Season 3. But even without that idea, they still could've explained the Squadron and other legendary ranger teams better if Super Megaforce had more competent writing. Also, that Dairanger review video would be great since it's one of the best sentai series.
When the red time ranger says there is a ranger team in every dimension does that mean every dimension has a Tommy Oliver or is Tommy a ultimate ranger that travels through dimensions?
There was a Dai-Ranger shown in NA back in the day, though only if you lived in specific parts of the US could you watch it, I think at least in my region you had to have access to Canadian TV, it would also be the last version on the TV station. I remember as a kid watching Bioman to Dai-Ranger though they did skip Zyuranger [MMPR] season. Dai-Ranger starts a little funky but by episode 10 it gets really going and it's claimed as one of the best sentais in Japan. It's inclusion in Gokaiger was a slam dunk in Japan, as well as Bioman and Liveman. Which we didn't see those episodes because the normal people wouldn't know about these teams. The best sentai of all time is Liveman, followed by Dai_Ranger, and then Jetman in Japan. So it makes sense that they'd be in the anniversary season of Gokaiger. I can tell you why that Rescue and Time force didn't get a full-team morph, first of all you had 35 teams to choose from and not to mention Go Go Five [the sentai that Lightspeed Rescue was based on] wasn't recieved that well in Japan. Now Time Force or Miraranger the reason for not a full-morph is pretty simple that there powers weren't ultilized as well in Gokaiger. The worst thing Saban ever did was trying to combine Goseiger and Gokaiger to a single story. After the horrific Goseiger storyline, he should have went the way that they'd do after Super Megaforce with two seasons of the same team. I'd have scrapped most of the rangers of Megaforce and perhaps keep Troy and the girls. But, due to the powers being much more intense that the blue and the green ranger couldn't hold them. Therefore you would have gotten a better story line if Gokaiger were spread over 2 seasons instead of crammed into one.
I think maybe Tommy maybe was trying to find new powers for rangers so that’s why we saw the symbols in Dino thunder and Tommy knew gosei and when he was finished with it he gave it to gosei knowing gosei was gonna let his rangers have powers of past rangers so gosei called it new powers

Our country has dubbed a numerous amount of Sentai series such as: • Kousoku Sentai Turboranger (dubbed as Turboranger) • Chojin Sentai Jetman (dubbed simply as Jetman) • Gosei Sentai Dairanger (dubbed as Star Ranger) • Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (dubbed as Ninja Ranger) • Chouriki Sentai Ohranger (dubbed as O Ranger) • Gekisou Sentai Carranger (dubbed as Car Ranger) • Denji Sentai Megaranger (Megaranger) • Seijuu Sentai Gingaman (Galaxy Ranger? I don't remember)
I just thought of something interesting. the lights of Orion connected to the ranger power (AKA The Lost Galaxy saber) or the actual person. because although I don't think we ever see them use the lights or Orion outside their morphed form. They should technically be able to use it outside of their morphed form.
The Legendary Squad was Zordon's team on Eltar ( he was the White Ranger) after Rita was locked in the dumpster. Zordan went to Earth to wait for Rita's return. Zordon and Alpha had to use the coins they found, the Legendary powers were too powerful for humans. Tommy was able to use the white power, because of reasons. Something about being the Green Ranger, that was welded by Rita.
My theory is simply that this was supposed to upgraded MMPR suits before the Zeo suits. However since MMPR was doing so well without the suits for so long, along with fighting an even greater evil, Zordon decided to scrap the project and skipped straight to Zeo. And then you brought up the part where Tommy met the squadron rangers and that just threw everything out the window.

My theory, its a ranger team from outer space, Zordon just repurposed the white suit, and gear to bolster the MMPR. Orion either recognizes the connection as an alien who knows about the team, or the rangers can “sense” the connection due to the morphing grid
My head cannon always has been that the white ranger's suit was originally Zordon's power "coin" and the ",squadron rangers" are the powers of the original team. Which if this is the case, Gosei possibly would have been a part of that team though as a "rookie" as for the thunder zords, they could have just been shells without power after the Rita battle that put her into the dumpster. Which very well caused Gosei and zordon to get separated and trapped where they were in the corresponding series, Zordon in a time loop and Gosei's consciousness in the tiki style head. This could also possibly explain guardians such as keeper. But that's just my theory.
The thing I've always had in my head canon was that they fought for the deserted planet that the Sword of Power was taken from & Zedd destroyed with Serpenterra. (The Power Transfer S2)
Just like the Gokaiger suits in Super Megaforce, the Dairanger suits could've been used as a special power up MMPR S2. The explanation being that those powers were needed to control the Thunder Zords. And the Dairanger powers would be lost along with the destruction of the Thunder Zords.
I like to think that those Squadron powers were once used by Rangers on another planet like how the Alien Rangers protected Aquitar. But the Squadron Rangers were defeated. That's why we haven't seen them till Power Rangers Megaforce. During his war with Rita throughout the galaxy, Zordon finds the Power Coins and the map to the Temple of Power (which is what happened) but he also may have stumbled upon Saba and the White Squadron Ranger's morpher sometime then too. It was damaged and when they made the White Ranger Powers for Tommy they converted that Power into a coin that was compatible with the existing morpher he had. Something they obvioulsy never did till that point. That's why Tommy's suit resembles the Squadron Ranger's, because it is. Saba must have told them the location of the Tigerzord and the location to what was left of the Thunderzords. That's why in "The Mutiny", Zordon explains to the Rangers they need to take back control of the zords. They need components from them to complete the Thunderzords. They were on standby but couldn't be used till thise components from the old zords were installed. At least that's my idea.
Based on Zhane's reaction to Andros's new teammates and their costumes the colors were probably Green, Gold, maybe White, Purple, and or perhaps an Orange Ranger. That's my educated guess based on small details from the show. They were most likely all men because Zhane tells Ashley he had never met a female Ranger before.
@Star battle 2099 Zhane wasn't shocked by the colors but rather by the female Rangers. Either the Yellow and Pink Rangers in Andros' and Zhane's original team were men as well or Zhane must have had memory blanks due to being in ice for years, since the Yellow and Pink Ranger suits are clearly designed for women. Then again the Ranger suits can adjust to the wearer's gender as seen in Super Megaforce.
Fun fact, Indonesia aired Dairanger series. Yes, the sentai version. And the title changed into Star Rangers. That was waaay before Megaforce. So, I think Indonesian Megaforce used this title because of that
Okay, so hear me out: S.P.D. aired in 2005 but was set in 2025. So what if the Squadron Rangers were the ones to air in 2025...to be set in 2005. Gosei says they haven’t been seen on earth YET because it hasn’t reached 2025 yet. Once it reaches 2025, the timeline would be ‘changed’ because the Squadron Rangers would travel back in time to 2005 and defeat evil 20 years before that might have come with them from the future. Once they’ve succeeded and travelled back to the future, they technically would’ve now been seen on earth. But since the Legendary Battle would’ve already occurred by this point, what Gosei says is still true. The only ones aware that the Squadron Rangers were essentially from the future would be any of the other Rangers. That way, since they defeated evil in 2005, they can still be called ‘Legendary Rangers’ because they appeared on earth ‘before’ the battle in a way. Or just a really far-fetched idea XD
I think I might have an actually _logical_ and understandable explanation they could use for the Squadron Rangers... In the first episode of MegaForce, Gosei states that he was recruited by Zordon as a backup plan in case the Earth was invaded without a Ranger Team on-duty. He was also entrusted with guarding the dormant powers of previous Power Ranger teams as they recharge for a potential Universe-Ending Event. But what if Gosei had actually _been_ a Power Ranger Mentor previously, before he went into stasis? Looking back at the Super Sentai the Thunder/Squadron powers were based upon, one key thing stands out: *Gosei* Sentai DaiRanger - Gosei could have easily been the Mentor/Leader of this Team of Power Rangers! It explains why Zordon would have such faith in him as to task him with the protection of the Power Itself - Gosei had to be a very good friend and ally, possibly even a Teammate of Zordon's! But when Zordon's team of Power Rangers had their Dino Zords extremely damaged from Lord Zedd's assault, with the World in danger of being conquered, Zordon needed to come up with new Zords quickly. Since there wad no time to build brand-new Zords, Zordon and Alpha adapted the existing Dino Zords to be compatible with a previous Team's Power: *Gosei's Thunder Squadron Power Rangers!* So when Tommy Oliver's Green Ranger Power was snuffed out, Zordon's solution was to modify the White Thunder Squadron Ranger's power (which could have been Gosei's own) to be compatible with the Human Physiology to be entrusted to a worthy person. After Billy decided to refuse the offer, Tommy was chosen to come back to action with the White Tiger Thunder Power, and the weapons and BattleZord that were associated with it!
There's actually another element from Dairanger that they used in Wild Force, being the costume of Master Org. It was repurposed from one of the villains in Dairanger.
I would really love to see them in Boom! somewhere. You know when Tommy had to share his Green powers with the Rangers and they all came out as green versions of themselves? If there was a need to shre the white power with a team they could be dai ranger.
What I want to know is, could they do a whole show adaptation still? Like obviously they wouldn't be able to use previous footage because of how dated it is. But they could do everything from scratch and I think people would love it.
I’d love to see these powers and their connections to the White Ranger and the Thunder Zords expanded on in the comics. Something else that would be fun is a retro-themed web miniseries adaptation that purposely uses old cameras for the unmorphed and original footage so it fits with the Dairanger footage.
my two original theories as to why there wasn't very much Dairanger footage for America use is that the original Zyuranger costumes became so iconic that Saban wasn't willing to gamble at that time by changing the suits and the popularity of Tommy was so great and don't get me started on the Gorma
MM White Rangers was original 6th ranger from the Dairanger. He was not supposed to be in MMPR. They should make a series about Rangers before the MMPR.

My theory: 1st off I would like you to make a video on this I feel it needs to be talked about, I think Cam from Ninja Storm and Mia from Samurai are related, distance cousins maybe, they have the same last name, and both have samurai powers, both powers have in their families for a very long time, Cam's powers could be another version of the samurai powers
Maybe they were a forgotten team like the Omega Rangers, who protected a space colony then went to Zordon for help then they lost there powers and Zordon restored them a little to late, but managed to combine them all into the white Ranger powers for Tommy because he failed 1 team and he didn't want to let Tommy down.

+Akeem Moore My fan theory for how it can be included in Mighty Morphin comics is how the rangers lost their powers in season 3. They lose their powers, the Thunderzords and Tigerzord, go to seek Ninjor and face their trails. However, their new ninja powers include the Dairanger suits (besides Tommy because his connection to the White Light and Saba), not the Mighty Morphin suits. The Dairanger zords are just the Ninja Zords from Kakuranger instead of the Thunderzords similar to how Mighty Morphin season 2 adapted the Thunderzords and White Ranger from Dairanger. This theory will probably never happened but it’s just an interesting theory of mine.
The simple explanation is that Saban thought adding the Dairanger suits early on would make the Zyuranger suits less iconic, since they wanted to increase the profit and brand of the Mighty Morphin series.

I'm disappointed that they didn't give Time Force much love in Super Megaforce. It is one of the best PR seasons and yet they ignored it most of the time, we only got the q-Rex, Pink Time Force morph, and the Quantum Ranger and Wes in the finale

here's my personal head canon. out of universe, they just adapted the footage of White Ranger, monsters and zords into MMPR Season 2. In universe Headcanon: Zordon created the Dairanger powers as a replacement for the main powers, as a back up. But the Rangers lost their zords first, thus still having their powers he adapted the plans for the Thunderzords to be compatible with the main zords. Tommy eventually received the White Ranger powers. But by the end of Season 2 the Rangers lost both the Thunderzords and their powers, thus the Dairanger powers weren't usable, soon the Rangers go to find Ninjor and receive Ninja based powers and the Ninja Zords. The Ninja Power Coins become the new source for their main powers. Thus "Powers never before seen on Earth." because they were never used beside White Ranger.

Thousands of years ago, After Lord Zedd was brutally burned & scared by the Zeo Crystals, he had seek out an alternate source of power to control & rule over the galaxy. Zordon of Eltar, knowing where the powers of the thunderzords was, had taken all of the powers. With Lord Zedd furious, he hunted Zordon to obtain the thunderzords powers. As clever as he is, Zordon used a decoy of the thunderzords powers, placing them in a box, and throw it in a different part of space, to throw Zedd off. With the real powers with him, he split the powers of the zords & the suits. He kept the powers of the Tiger in a secret area in the Command Center, while keeping the powers of the Thunder animals near him. As for the suits, he entrusted them to his student, Gosei.
well that's not too bad. my theory is they're the source of the thunderzord power. since jason, zach, billy, trini, and kim already had uniforms zordon modified the dinozords. but tommy losing his green rangers powers zordon gave the white ranger ability. it could also be the source of the thunderzord power.

I also operated under the idea that Zordon had access to the powers. But my theory is that he'd considered giving the core suits to the rest of the team, yet Lord Zedd complicated things. That, and Jason, Zach, and Trini leaving.
My headcanon is that the Squadron Rangers were the original Rangers from Eltar, led by Zordon (White Tiger) and Gosei (Red Dragon), and fought against Master Vile Revolto, the father of Rita Repulsa and Rito Revolto. This would imply that Gosei's name is partially derived from the Dairanger series title:"GOSEI Sentai Dairanger", as well as from GOSEIger. This fits absolutely perfectly. I just assumed they were powers zordon made to tie into the thunder zords that weren't used because the dino powers were still good, so if the dino powers got recked they had a backup (as seen with green to white). Dude had a lot of backup plans

I remember researching this, I learned that the White Ranger from MMPR was actually taken from Dairanger footage along w/the Thunderzords. It also explains why the Lion Thunderzord looked more greenish than blackish in the series, cuz it actually was green, & the ranger in that series who piloted that zord was a green ranger.

For me I was quite annoyed that they didn’t do a dairanger series because that would be interesting to watch. But the sad thing is that we are never gonna get a power rangers verson of dairanger because they brought the white ranger from dairanger to mmpr and they used there megazords. The funniest thing is that I’m rewatching all of power rangers and the amount of scenes that I’ve seen from super sentai is amazing. Plus if super sentai was never made we would never of got power rangers

Technically speaking the footage was irregular.
The second half of MMPR first season, MMPR season 2, Turbo, some of In Space, Lost Galaxy, and some of Time Force all had pretty similar footage quality, while MMPR season 3+Alien Rangers, Zeo, some of In Space, LSR, and some of Time Force indeed had grainy saturated footage.
So you could technically use Dairarangers footage to any of those series between 1993 and 2001.
It wasn't until Wild Force that they had a cleaner more up to date filter (probably because it was the first series to completely rely on CGI transformations and they needes as much HD as possible) that it became impossible to reuse older footage, but even then some early episodes still sufferbfrom grainy particles.
Given the shift in quality 2001 must've been the year in which Japan shifted from CRT TV to HD TV (tho not sure if flat screen). Not to mention it was the time in which Japan began to shift the target audience towards younger kids and thus a more poppy color palette.

They could've use these suits for Lost Galaxy. Writers could've come up with a storyline where the Dairangers were the predecessors of the Galaxy Rangers and the previous companions to the Galactabeasts. In my head, that's how I'd like to see them being used.

Yes I would love to see diaranger content. I have a theory Zordon wanted to change the rangers powers when Zedd arrived on the scene but couldn’t because he was keeping Tommy’s Green Ranger powers active. And after the rangers were handling Zedd’s attacks just fine Zordon felt that creating a new sixth ranger was a more pressing.
It would be good make a miniserie with dairanger concept , something like Eltars rangers , something that explains these powers coming from
It was Zordon's original team, Zordon being the white ranger and leader, which is why Tommy was automatically made leader when he gained those powers.
Most of Zordon's team were killed facing Dark Spectre, with Zordon ending up a head in a tube and the Red Ranger, Zordon's brother, being corrupted and becoming one of Dark Spectre's main lieutenants. This event created a flux in the morphing grid, causing it to seek a living balance, filtered through the conflict between the two brothers. Because of the devastation caused by this event, these rangers aren't discussed openly throughout the universe, hence why we don't know a lot about them.
I think, given the terminology of the Zord's, "Power Rangers Thunder Squadron!" Would be a better name for them.

Also Tommy comes back multiple times an it seems that all of Rangers know each other. So if Gosei was Zordon's disciple then he must've knew Tommy and if Tommy knew almost all of Rangers it could be possible
They’re probably just a pre-MMPR team that we’ve never needed to know about in the localised canon
Actually, they could've used the Dairanger suits for one mini arc in season 2. Remember Zedd's Dark Rangers and how cheap the suits looked? I thought it would've been so cool for the Dark Rangers to use the Dairanger suits (even if the fight scenes with MMPR would've been expensive to make) and reform as another ranger team, allowing them to use Dairanger footage until about Season 3. But even without that idea, they still could've explained the Squadron and other legendary ranger teams better if Super Megaforce had more competent writing.
Also, that Dairanger review video would be great since it's one of the best sentai series.

There was a Dai-Ranger shown in NA back in the day, though only if you lived in specific parts of the US could you watch it, I think at least in my region you had to have access to Canadian TV, it would also be the last version on the TV station. I remember as a kid watching Bioman to Dai-Ranger though they did skip Zyuranger [MMPR] season. Dai-Ranger starts a little funky but by episode 10 it gets really going and it's claimed as one of the best sentais in Japan. It's inclusion in Gokaiger was a slam dunk in Japan, as well as Bioman and Liveman. Which we didn't see those episodes because the normal people wouldn't know about these teams. The best sentai of all time is Liveman, followed by Dai_Ranger, and then Jetman in Japan. So it makes sense that they'd be in the anniversary season of Gokaiger. I can tell you why that Rescue and Time force didn't get a full-team morph, first of all you had 35 teams to choose from and not to mention Go Go Five [the sentai that Lightspeed Rescue was based on] wasn't recieved that well in Japan. Now Time Force or Miraranger the reason for not a full-morph is pretty simple that there powers weren't ultilized as well in Gokaiger. The worst thing Saban ever did was trying to combine Goseiger and Gokaiger to a single story. After the horrific Goseiger storyline, he should have went the way that they'd do after Super Megaforce with two seasons of the same team. I'd have scrapped most of the rangers of Megaforce and perhaps keep Troy and the girls. But, due to the powers being much more intense that the blue and the green ranger couldn't hold them. Therefore you would have gotten a better story line if Gokaiger were spread over 2 seasons instead of crammed into one.
I think maybe Tommy maybe was trying to find new powers for rangers so that’s why we saw the symbols in Dino thunder and Tommy knew gosei and when he was finished with it he gave it to gosei knowing gosei was gonna let his rangers have powers of past rangers so gosei called it new powers

The Legendary Squad was Zordon's team on Eltar ( he was the White Ranger) after Rita was locked in the dumpster. Zordan went to Earth to wait for Rita's return. Zordon and Alpha had to use the coins they found, the Legendary powers were too powerful for humans. Tommy was able to use the white power, because of reasons. Something about being the Green Ranger, that was welded by Rita.
My theory is simply that this was supposed to upgraded MMPR suits before the Zeo suits. However since MMPR was doing so well without the suits for so long, along with fighting an even greater evil, Zordon decided to scrap the project and skipped straight to Zeo.
And then you brought up the part where Tommy met the squadron rangers and that just threw everything out the window.
Nice theory. Saban didn't want to change the suit because MMPR was popular. If the suit got changed to Dairangers, it will lose viewers or interest.

My head cannon always has been that the white ranger's suit was originally Zordon's power "coin" and the ",squadron rangers" are the powers of the original team. Which if this is the case, Gosei possibly would have been a part of that team though as a "rookie" as for the thunder zords, they could have just been shells without power after the Rita battle that put her into the dumpster. Which very well caused Gosei and zordon to get separated and trapped where they were in the corresponding series, Zordon in a time loop and Gosei's consciousness in the tiki style head. This could also possibly explain guardians such as keeper. But that's just my theory.

That's why we haven't seen them till Power Rangers Megaforce. During his war with Rita throughout the galaxy, Zordon finds the Power Coins and the map to the Temple of Power (which is what happened) but he also may have stumbled upon Saba and the White Squadron Ranger's morpher sometime then too. It was damaged and when they made the White Ranger Powers for Tommy they converted that Power into a coin that was compatible with the existing morpher he had. Something they obvioulsy never did till that point. That's why Tommy's suit resembles the Squadron Ranger's, because it is. Saba must have told them the location of the Tigerzord and the location to what was left of the Thunderzords. That's why in "The Mutiny", Zordon explains to the Rangers they need to take back control of the zords. They need components from them to complete the Thunderzords. They were on standby but couldn't be used till thise components from the old zords were installed. At least that's my idea.

Based on Zhane's reaction to Andros's new teammates and their costumes the colors were probably Green, Gold, maybe White, Purple, and or perhaps an Orange Ranger. That's my educated guess based on small details from the show. They were most likely all men because Zhane tells Ashley he had never met a female Ranger before.

@Star battle 2099 Zhane wasn't shocked by the colors but rather by the female Rangers. Either the Yellow and Pink Rangers in Andros' and Zhane's original team were men as well or Zhane must have had memory blanks due to being in ice for years, since the Yellow and Pink Ranger suits are clearly designed for women. Then again the Ranger suits can adjust to the wearer's gender as seen in Super Megaforce.
Fun fact, Indonesia aired Dairanger series. Yes, the sentai version. And the title changed into Star Rangers. That was waaay before Megaforce.

Okay, so hear me out:
S.P.D. aired in 2005 but was set in 2025. So what if the Squadron Rangers were the ones to air in 2025...to be set in 2005. Gosei says they haven’t been seen on earth YET because it hasn’t reached 2025 yet.
Once it reaches 2025, the timeline would be ‘changed’ because the Squadron Rangers would travel back in time to 2005 and defeat evil 20 years before that might have come with them from the future.
Once they’ve succeeded and travelled back to the future, they technically would’ve now been seen on earth. But since the Legendary Battle would’ve already occurred by this point, what Gosei says is still true. The only ones aware that the Squadron Rangers were essentially from the future would be any of the other Rangers.
That way, since they defeated evil in 2005, they can still be called ‘Legendary Rangers’ because they appeared on earth ‘before’ the battle in a way.
Or just a really far-fetched idea XD
I think I might have an actually _logical_ and understandable explanation they could use for the Squadron Rangers...
In the first episode of MegaForce, Gosei states that he was recruited by Zordon as a backup plan in case the Earth was invaded without a Ranger Team on-duty. He was also entrusted with guarding the dormant powers of previous Power Ranger teams as they recharge for a potential Universe-Ending Event.
But what if Gosei had actually _been_ a Power Ranger Mentor previously, before he went into stasis? Looking back at the Super Sentai the Thunder/Squadron powers were based upon, one key thing stands out: *Gosei* Sentai DaiRanger - Gosei could have easily been the Mentor/Leader of this Team of Power Rangers! It explains why Zordon would have such faith in him as to task him with the protection of the Power Itself - Gosei had to be a very good friend and ally, possibly even a Teammate of Zordon's!
But when Zordon's team of Power Rangers had their Dino Zords extremely damaged from Lord Zedd's assault, with the World in danger of being conquered, Zordon needed to come up with new Zords quickly. Since there wad no time to build brand-new Zords, Zordon and Alpha adapted the existing Dino Zords to be compatible with a previous Team's Power: *Gosei's Thunder Squadron Power Rangers!*
So when Tommy Oliver's Green Ranger Power was snuffed out, Zordon's solution was to modify the White Thunder Squadron Ranger's power (which could have been Gosei's own) to be compatible with the Human Physiology to be entrusted to a worthy person. After Billy decided to refuse the offer, Tommy was chosen to come back to action with the White Tiger Thunder Power, and the weapons and BattleZord that were associated with it!
Check this videogame, Power Rangers : Battle for the Grid, it came up in 2019 and it got all the Rangers from each season.

There's actually another element from Dairanger that they used in Wild Force, being the costume of Master Org. It was repurposed from one of the villains in Dairanger.
I would really love to see them in Boom! somewhere. You know when Tommy had to share his Green powers with the Rangers and they all came out as green versions of themselves? If there was a need to shre the white power with a team they could be dai ranger.
What I want to know is, could they do a whole show adaptation still? Like obviously they wouldn't be able to use previous footage because of how dated it is. But they could do everything from scratch and I think people would love it.

I’d love to see these powers and their connections to the White Ranger and the Thunder Zords expanded on in the comics. Something else that would be fun is a retro-themed web miniseries adaptation that purposely uses old cameras for the unmorphed and original footage so it fits with the Dairanger footage.

my two original theories as to why there wasn't very much Dairanger footage for America use is that the original Zyuranger costumes became so iconic that Saban wasn't willing to gamble at that time by changing the suits and the popularity of Tommy was so great and don't get me started on the Gorma

MM White Rangers was original 6th ranger from the Dairanger. He was not supposed to be in MMPR. They should make a series about Rangers before the MMPR.

My theory: 1st off I would like you to make a video on this I feel it needs to be talked about, I think Cam from Ninja Storm and Mia from Samurai are related, distance cousins maybe, they have the same last name, and both have samurai powers, both powers have in their families for a very long time, Cam's powers could be another version of the samurai powers

Maybe they were a forgotten team like the Omega Rangers, who protected a space colony then went to Zordon for help then they lost there powers and Zordon restored them a little to late, but managed to combine them all into the white Ranger powers for Tommy because he failed 1 team and he didn't want to let Tommy down.
