- In this video I get a craving for a pub lunch, and stumble across the best burger I've ever had in the Philippines!
I also provide a quick life update as I've been away for a while, and discuss my plans for the coming months living as a foreigner in the Philippines.
In this video I visit Aquavit Pub & Grill in Makati, and try their delicious Lamb Burger with some hand-cut chips. Honestly one of the best meals I've had in years.
After leaving the restaurant, I wander around Makati, taking in the sights.

Welcome back, Craig. Since you are still base in the main island of Luzon, stay in the area and explore the rest of the metropolitan Manila. Try Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Ayala Alabang and others as there is so much to see. Before going to the Visayas region or even Mindanao, rent a car or take the bus and take an adventure to the many provinces of Luzon up north and south. A tip, watch the other vlogger's experiences in those places. Good luck and keep them coming!
Wow, ang galing mo magtagalog ah! I love the "Po" very respectful!😊
Wow I love the way you speak Craig
I’m enjoying watching your blog .from IN USA
Try Ortigas Cebter, the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong, Eastwood in Libis, or Alabang Business Town Center, or Baguio City. Hope you stay in the Philippines long term my friend 👍💖🙏🌿🎉
Good to see you back, and that was a nice doggy.
ang galing naman po magsalita ng tagalog 🙂❤️
Punta kina Jooms at Gai in Ilo-ilo
Have you tried "The Filling Station" in Makati? The food was pretty good there also.
I did! I did a video there already but might need to revisit😊
You should go to Siargao
It's definitely on the list! How's the internet there?
Try Davao, Mindoro, Cebu, and Iloilo area.
❤❤❤
Really? The former site of the classic expat bar Howzat. It's surprising, but I'm happy to get a good lead. Haven't been in there since it reopened. I'm actually working on a best burger tour video... and I'll just drop a tip... I've been hitting a litany of places in BGC... and the number one so far... it's not cheap, but if you want the best burger in Manila??? I'm going to say hit up Dr. Wine in BGC. Delectable!! Howzat was shut down during the lockdown for violating curfew. It was a blow to the expat community. We used to swing by there for proper English fish and chips and a pint or three of cider. But I'm going to check it again on your recommendation for my upcoming burger odyssey.
I've been meaning to try Dr Wine so I'll give it a go!
Never knew this place used to be like that. I'm always on the hunt for expat hangouts so any recommendations fire away 👍
Looking forward to your burger tour!
@Craig_in_Asia we are often in there. If you see me, definitely hit us up. It can be tough to get a table in there on the weekends. But weekdays are a good mix of lively and social. Even early, because of the happy hour.
@@itsManilaBaybee cheers man.
Have you ever tried Lynx? Went there last night. Pretty fun place if you're in a group.
@Craig_in_Asia yes, we occasionally get up there. Nice little bar with a club vibe and roofdeck.
