My all time favorite chicken rice is the $2 chicken rice from then ananas cafe at tiong bahru. But the last time i had it was 7 years ago :( i can't find them now. So my current fav will be Wee Nam Kee chicken rice!

Tian Tian was decent till Anthony Bourdain went and hype up the place. Then they got so touristy and u sort of expects higher standards from them but they are just normal chicken rice(but ex now)
Grew up with 925 Yishun Chicken Rice so its one of my fav with the super tender white chicken and the achar on the sides makes u want to have a second servings. The Katong one looks so inviting,
i hope i get to try it one day. They set the bar so high with that soup.

  • @lychvy8023

Bishan's Kim San Leng (Ming Kee) chicken rice is the best for me! I'd normally order drumstick (boneless) with 2 bowls of rice for 5 dollars. The rice itself is the best in sg imo, and I haven't tasted any better at similar price point.
Tried the yishun 925 one before as well, it's really good too. Boon tong kee also no question about it, it's good.
I think the one at seah im food centre is pretty decent too!
Tian Tian however, was a complete disappointment for me, along with alot of the other chicken rice stalls at Maxwell food centre which really makes the place seem like a tourist trap.

There’s a stall at Golden Mile Food Centre near Haji Lane called Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice located on the lower level. There’s usually a long line during lunch. Half chicken only cost S$9, S$18 for whole chicken. Cheap by Singapore standards and very good!

Why TianTian is in the list? Frozen chicken, tasteless, sauce on top of meat!!! Everything is so wrong.
5 years ago HK friends came to visit me, asked me to brought them to TianTian. In the end, we only ate half the dish and gave up. Then I immediately drove them to Pow Sing, and they clean up all the dishes.
