SINGAPORE - Welcome to Little India in Singapore and today weâre going on a food tour to eat some delicious Indian food - from some of the best chapatis and curry to a full banana leaf meal spread, to the best Indian hawker center street food court I canât wait to take you on this amazing food tour.
Thereâs no doubt Singapore is home to an abundance of delicious Indian food - from street food to restaurants. And one of the best places to get started eating Indian food is within Singaporeâs vibrant Little India. Here are the places I included in this video:
Azmi Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/AgvgMN1LGom1spAL6) Total price - $19 SGD ($13.87 USD) - You really come here to eat chapati along with tasty accompanying dishes. I had the keema, chicken masala, chickpeas, okra, and chicken fry, all of which was extremely delicious.
Neha Tiffin Centre - Tekka Centre, Singapore - Price - $2 SGD ($1.46 USD) - Unfortunately the place I had really wanted to go to try Indian style fried noodles was closed for the day. So I noticed many people eating dosa from a number of stalls - so thatâs what I decided to try. At just $2 itâs one of the most affordable small meals in Singapore. Not the best dosa Iâve had, but overall quite good.
Shifa Drinks Corner - Tekka Centre, Singapore - While eating at Tekka Centre, I met the friendly guys from Shifa Drinks Corner who made a fresh sugar cane juice for me and wouldnât accept payment. Please go support them when youâre here!
Gandhi Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/14M1gXffK9ArB8JC6) Little India, Singapore - Total price for 2 people - $29 SGD ($21.17 USD) - Finally to complete this Indian street food tour in Little India Singapore we went for a huge South Indian rice and curry meal at Gandhi Restaurant. I tried the yellow rice, chicken masala, fish fry, and a variety of other additional vegetable sides. Food was delicious, and itâs quite a popular place.
Again, Singapore has authentic and extremely delicious Indian food and this is just a start to all the delicious places to try!

Hi Mark, Iâm Singaporean and I just want to say a huge thank you for featuring Little India. Iâm not sure if youâre aware, but Little India was one of the worst hit areas in terms of footfall and business during the pandemic in the last few years. With migrant workers not being allowed to go out of their dorms during the weekends, business declined badly and quickly. So this may have been unintentional, but thank you for featuring the vibrant Little India in your first food vlog of Singapore!
I will be in Singapore in two months. Do you have any other must eat places in little India?
Thank you for sharing Jeremy, and appreciate your amazing support!
The plandemic was a hoax to get people in captivity. Never again!!!!!
Little india feels more like india than singapore unfortunately. The only singaporean feeling about little india is the highly priced food sold there. If u wanna eat good indian food, head to india and not singapore đ
đđđ
Mark, I truly believe that indulging in the many succulent foods created by different cultures around the globe is an integral part of the quest for world peace. You are an extraordinary ambassador. With love and respect, Carol from NC, USA
I like how mark eats his food in Indian style.
So down to earth and practical.
Exactly....
although he has been advised by many viewers, he still hasnt learnt to take small bites :) Eats massive bites and messy like someone is about to steal his lunch
Amazing how friendly people are there. Love the hospitality, and the food looks amazing. I've been to Singapore once and ate at food courts every day..... another visit is certainly needed.
The Indian man behind you eating with one hand busy with eating and another folded upwards is so reminiscent of how the culture is. Thatâs what I see when I go to traditional Indian restaurants too and itâs incorporated in the culture. Just beautiful!
Appreciate your support and appreciation
Mark has the best gift in life that money or a man can't buy and that's respect he is respected all around the world and that is a blessingđđȘđ€
I truly appreciate someone who is showing the food markets and stalls and truly indulging and not over thinking the calories or the healthier aspect... just really enjoying the moment. I do this on vacation, but a lot of the videos I see are people over thinking these things and not really in the moment... also I can't wait to visit little India!!
I used to live in Singapore for a good 10 years and boy I missed everything about Singapore, food , people, surroundings , especially food malls xđą
As a Singaporean studying and living overseas, this made me real homesick đđ Thank you for visiting and showcasing our culture! Can't wait to see what else you got up to

I have been to Singapore a few times and I really love how clean that place is. Little India is a treasure to see and the food is scrumptious.
I am only half into this video, and I because of it, I really want to travel to Singapore again very soon ! Also, I just love how positive and down to earth you are Mark, like when you thanked the owner of the fruit juice store several times for offering you a free juice.

@@MarkWiens great video as usual.
Although i must say. It seems like your trying way too hard to say chapati as many times as possible. And the overpronouncing of the word chipati with the roller "R's" gets very tiring. Like a child thats learned their first word. If a Indian talked to you in their accent; then suddenly said just one word that was trying way too hard to say an english word like dictionary. Youd think they were weirdos.
This just ignited my Indian food taste buds... thanks Mark for always bringing us top quality content
Lost count of how many times, had swallow my slyver just watching your expression towards the food your eating. Love your genuine appreciation towards the food around the world. God bless the chefs.
What I missed about Singapore .....where the food is still as good is Little India....Indian food .......You've got great tastebuds Mark. Cheers
One best part of you is I have never seen you wasting food ... You finish everything what you order and that's such a great thing... â€ïž
Love Marks energy and appreciation for the food and culture whereever he goes :)
Mark, thanks for sharing. Brought back fond memories of our trip to Singapore and Little India. Keep travelling and sharing!!!
i could definitely imagine the satisfaction you get after drinking that sugarcane drink, as it is so humid in Singapore! great stuff mark! Thanks for showing a little of Singaporeâs culture to the world!
I have had sugar cane drink freshly squeezed from sugar cane itself in Lahore Pakistan many times growing up there. I really miss it in USA.
We moved to Singapore during Covid and finally things are open and I had no idea what to explore first food wise! So happy youâre here to show me đđđđ

Singapore is known to be both the Gluttonâs Paradise and the Gourmetâs Paradise. For good reason: the local food is the best in the world, but youâll find the best of international fine dining there too. No lie. And of course you can also find what we donât want - McDonaldâs and the like!

I adore Singapore and within it I adore Little India. Ive been going many years to Singers and LI is always my favourite destination. The place has an authentic atmosphere with its stalls, its food and bustle.
Oh my god, Iâve been to Gandhi restaurant few years ago. The food there was amazing! Iâm salivating now.
One of the wonder of the world is that I have been watching Mark's videos for years and it seems he never change his body mass, not bigger and not smaller, despite all the big amount of foods he ate. How? Could you have a magnanimous metabolism for food?
19:48 "Or you want the small fish Ying?" Shows how considerate Mark is. They complement and very lucky to have each other

I just love how Mark stays focused on enjoying the food and loving life and is therefore oblivious to the efforts of the gentleman at the table behind him who is so obviously trying to create an issue from 5:18 until 8:05. Keep smiling!

being filmed.

Your video made me smile. I spent a chunk of my childhood in a shophouse just behind Tekka market, running around in my uncle's TCM shop.
I really enjoyed this! Their food is like their culture.. Simple yet packed With flavor!
I liked the chapati and chick peas fish and the king mackerel looked so good.
The rest was interesting but not my sort of âgo-tooâ dishes although I think the mutton curry on the banana leaf looked also tempting to try.
Very nice video.
