@@frankiey9943 i mean hopefully it would be that easy but its not, the gym i go to asked me to jump in and sparr this guy who was in weight and trained for a month or more and was fighting that next week and had 10 pro fights already done alot of sparring vs me 12 years boxing for self protection bc of street issues, but never sparred, and he was trying to ko me, so i had to go hard couldnt let him fk me up. But i wont do that to a youngin now that he tried that on me.
hugo ramirez i don’t agree my man. Imma pro boxer outta Ashland, Ma and imma heavyweight. If the coaches at that gym did that then they aren’t real coaches. I’ve trained with pro Ray Oliveira and had the opportunity to pick Jason Pires brain too. Both were pro’s outta MA. The gym I’m at now has bout 7-8 pros not including myself and that’s not how u spar. Those weren’t real coaches and u shoulda been outta there that same day. There’s a reason the gym u went to had no big pros or massive success
hugo ramirez sparring is bout movement and intelligence in the ring. Figuring out where to step in curtain situations and gettin comfortable in your movement. Not showing u can knock someone out. That’s a fighter not a boxer. Fighting is knockouts, boxing is intelligence before the knockout
That's why that kid(Lobito) should have never signed with Mayweather Promotions. They're not into developing fighters, they're into entertaining the gym. They have these hard sparring sessions that burn fighters out.
