This was a fight. Davis is badass and very skilled but met a determined and game cruz. One of the best fights I've seen in years
This was ana amazing fight and Tanks Toughest opponent. Cruz seems to be very determined because nobody has beaten Davis yet. But Cruz has come the closest to I admire him, he is my height so it is amazing how he fights with such spirit and passion. Davis is literally a tank and he displayed that as well.

Tanks ability to take a punch is what makes him greater than tyson imo. Tank has taken some crazy shots from some of the most powerful punchers in the division and hasn't dropped. What amazes me is when he does take a big punch, it makes him angry to the point he gets more brutal and seeks the k.o. he did hurt his hand this fight. Cruz is a beast though. But tank is world class once in a lifetime for his size.

These 2 are the best in the 135 to 140 division hands down. We all see how tough, strong, resilient, durable, talented, etc these guys are. That’s why this fight was so close. Neither 1 of them fought against anyone as great as they both are so no one knew what to expect. The rematch will be epic!

These are 2 of the young lions in the fight game that are the reason we as true fans watch the sport. They are in the tradition of the old school greats. This was a great fight between 2 true warriors. Kudos to both of them putting on a great performance!
Great technical fight. This shows Tank IQ and he’s not just a knockout artist. This shows Cruz grit, defense, commitment to move forward and fight with power like the dog he is. Overall amazing fight.

Most of the knockouts we’ve seen by Tank has been that left hook counter punch or upper cut. Cruz defended those set ups perfectly all the time. Tank really had to work to win that fight.

Isaac’s conditioning is off the charts. The man was throwing bombs the entire fight. I haven’t seen anyone push Gervanta to this level bc he hasn’t had to respect anyone’s power. Isaac made this fight, forced this fight to be far more tactical and it was brilliant watching them both.
It would be great to see the top contender’s go at it with one another didn’t get to watch the full fight but heard it was good

Y lo que la Mayoría no sabe es que solo tuvo un campamento de tres Semanas ya que llegó de Emergente para esa pelea de ahí que Gervonta no quiera la Revancha el Pitbull con un entrenamiento pleno de dos meses llegaría en Plenitud para Presionar y Atacar aún más a Gervonta y con más poder de Puños para los Rounds Finales.
@@omarcervantes3049 I know Issac is a third generation fighter and was really impressed at how prepared he was for this match.
Gervonta’s signature uppercut was doing some work but it was deflected off of Isaacs tight guard every time he threw it. THAT was both impressive and scary to see.
Gervonta couldn’t really hit him with anything to slow him down but when Gervonta began moving the fight into the center of the ring, he did seem to find a bit more success. BUT, to Issacs credit he still showed tremendous poise, fantastic defensive movement and still managed to force Gervonta to be cautious bc he was constantly on the prowl for that head-hunting hook or those body shots that just looked mean and full of bad intentions.
This is a rematch that i would love to see.
Both showed exceptional IQ and are phenomenal talents.
Just imagine Gervontaes conditioning to keep Cruz’s pressure and still outbox him the whole night
Cruz’s defense was world class… I wonder if the judges saw that 90% of those uppercuts where blocked. (The commentators didn’t) as far as the winner I have it as a draw, kinda leaning towards Cruz for being the aggressor and having more activity. However what a great fight! The skill displayed is world class
He obviously game planned to defend against Davis's signature counter left uppercut, and did a great job at defending from it. But nothing about his defense was World Class, except for maybe extreme focus and stamina to be able to hide behind your guard and be ready for the left uppercut. He has average head movement and distance IQ. He was getting tagged with the same shots over and over. It did take him longer than usual to break down the guard of Cruz I will admit, but he was breaking down after the 8th. 3 more rounds, and I believe cruz would have hit the canvas.
And its not just about activity, its effective activity. Cruz was catching alot of air in the second half of the fight.

Cruz’s technique and approach were exemplary here. Davis had to rely on reach advantage and punch resistance to get him through. Great fight by both guys.
His footwork also was phenomenal. If cruz learns to pivot like him it would be even more competitive . Was a great match, also Tank adapted much later rounds .

What impressed me the most about Davis was his defense in this fight. He showed great skills in that area. Both guys came to fight, and I can see why Tank doesn't want to rematch Cruz. He's a tough SOB.

Tank is an extremely technical fighter, Cruz is a straight brawler. The only way to beat Cruz is doing exactly what you saw here, keeping distance and waiting for the right moments. Even then, Tank ate some HUGE punches. Both are incredible fighters for sure.

After playing this fight back a second time, Davis didn't land nearly as many punches as I though he had the first time I saw the fight. The decision could easily have gone to Cruz.
It should have, but ratings matter to these ppl, which is why they gave it to Tank.. Cruz almost knocked him out multiple times, if you look at it.. Too much holding n pushing Cruz down to get him tired.. At least one point shoulda been taken away from Tank, boy got away with too much nonsense imo.. Ref warned him plenty but never took action, the fix was obviously in..

Watching the buildup and the fight - he's a very honourable and humble man. I think he exceeded the general expectations by far on the night. Cruz gave a tremendous account of himself against a world class fighter. I feel he has more to give in the future and with the right coaching could improve small parts of his game to become a world champion.
