No head movement, no footwork, no ring iq, no technique on the punches besides that left hook (even the hook is sketchy), no defence except his reach. All he was relying on was his left hook and it took tank less than half the fught to figure him out. Ryan needs to tone down his ego and all the bullshit and focus on what important if he wants to have a chance at 135. My opinion at least.

Before the first punch of davis, Garcia was trying to catch Gervonta, but Gervonta's speed and timing was just insanely perfect, dude is just too good
Ryan is so fast, aggressive, precise normally and above all else powerful, You can tell he's not used to getting hit. I think they both box amazingly but Davis showed his all around skill experience and completeness as a boxer. Also ryan didnt adapt to the southpaw and paid for it

Unfortunately for Ryan, he didn't rely on a strong left jab when he needed to and was baited into trading with Tank. Tank's reflexes are highly developed.
Actually Ryan should have thrown more straight rights. He should have used his right hand as like a jab and then throw the left hook right after. You have to fight a lefty backwards. In a normal orthodox fight you throw many jabs. When facing a southpaw you throw many straight rights and left hooks. I thought Ryan was going to win because all you normally need to beat a lefty is a great right and a great left hook and ryan has that.

Hell of a fight. Davis sure did a lot of holding early on...yet it served him well. Ryan got too comfortable and I think that's what Tank wanted. Mayweather always said it's chess not checkers. That liver shot was so unassuming too. I completely missed it live. I tip my hat to both fighters, would love to see a re-match although I doubt it will happen.

Being a lefty myself, body shots can be set up if rightys aren't used to facing that. It especially shows how a fighter his height can open up the inside and land on taller, skilled boxers like Garcia. Garcia will bounce back and have his shot again.
