  • How's it going everybody. Hopefully all of you are doing well. In today's video I wanted to go over 5 obscure tips and tricks on the infamous Roland SP-404SX. The reason I say they are obscure is because there is so much information about this sampler, so many videos that I found myself really thinking hard on which tips I can share with you guys today. So these are 5 tips that I was able to come up with. I hope that at least one of these tips is useful for any of you. I try'd my best to be as unique as possible knowing that a lot tips have already been covered on the Roland SP 404SX. For example SP vids did a great video showing a ton of different tips that were way cooler than mine lol but like I mentioned, I hope at least one of these tips is useful for you. Thank you for watching, make sure to subscribe to the channel and drop a like on this video for good luck. Thank you!

    I think it's okay to cover things that have been before. Audiences vary and some folks might prefer your style of presenting over another. It's good to have choice.
    Thanks for the video. I sub'd some time ago.

    Glad you still have an SP. I love their workflow. I have an sp555 and these videos are helpful even tho it’s a different model

      Thank you bro! The SP is such an important part in every setup. Love the FX too much to let it go lol

      chrisgalactic beats true man the effects are amazing. I’m still learning how to get samples that work with each other but tinkering with the effects often times helps find a way to fit them together well. I’m still a beginner but it’s so fun

  • @authenticwarriorradio2440

    Love this video man. Keep them coming! I asked SPVIDZ for a video on song structure (expanding from a loop, to having choruses, bridges, etc). I'm asking you as well, since you have a somewhat different workflow, with pattern sequencing.

    Now he's gonna make videos on the mpc live 2. Which I have mixed feelings about.

      The live 2 is great especially paired with the SP it's a no brainer

      @@chrisgalactic the new mpc line up starts to feel like daw and kinda makes the sp redundant. I have more fun with hardware anyway.

    My sampler's been sitting my closet for the past 10 years.
    I really have no idea how to use this thing.
    I have no idea how to make samples in time with each other.
    I think it might be time just to sell it off to someone who might actually use it

    • @chrisgalactic
      @chrisgalactic  Před 3 lety +1

      It's not compression it's just the gain on my Audio interface I need to get a cloud lifter so I can get a cleaner gain stage without having to crank the crap out of my Audio interface lol Sorry about that!
