Faron Young Hello Walls Lyrics
Hello walls, (hello) (hello)
How'd things go for you today?
Don't you miss her
Since she up and walked away?
And I'll bet you dread to spend
Another lonely night with me
But lonely walls, I'll keep you company
Hello window (hello) (hello)
Well I see that you're still here
Aren't you lonely
Since our darlin' disappeared?
Well, look here, is that a teardrop
In the corner of your pane?
Now don't you try to tell me that it's rain
She went away and left us all alone
The way she planned
Guess we'll have to learn to get along
Without her if we can
Hello ceiling, (hello) (hello)
I'm gonna stare at you awhile
You know I can't sleep
So won't you bear with me awhile?
We must all stick together or else
I'll lose my mind
I've got a feelin', she'll be gone a long, long time
(Hello, hello)
Faron Young was another one of those great singers, like Marty Robbins, Conway Twitty and Patsy Cline. They just had something in their voices that was unique. And their way of story telling was unique too. I just love them all 👩🏻🏫👵🏻👏🏻🥰‼️
I WAS A COUNTRY SINGER AND MUSCIAN AND FARON YOUNG WAS MY IDOL. HE WAS GREAT, TROUBLED BUT GRREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when younger, I used to see Faron on TV and still am a faithful fan today....one of the country greats !
Listen up folk's. Wonder what real music sounds like ?? Just listen to these guys. No Autotune, Just real talent. God bless you all, Jim
i am a student of music history and of vocalists. i spent more of my time with other genres than i do with country music so i just discovered this guy night while watching Ken Burns PBS documentary on country music and am in awe. there are singers and there are vocalists and this guy is one of the purest vocalists i have ever heard. i am absolutely blown away by his intonation. he chisels EVERY vowel and EVERY consonant as if each and every one is critically important. he does not throw away a single note. every note, every phrase, every word is finely crafted with careful deliberation. you can see him position his head and neck differently for different vowels to get the perfect sound. i am going to have to rank him with George Jones as the purest county voice i have ever heard period.
Hi Jeff, I’m fairly new to the genre also and I couldn’t add one worthy comment to your accurate appraisal of Faron’s delivery of this beautifully crafted song. I understand Willy Nelson penned this one for Faron and has regretted not releasing it himself ever since.
@@andrewsaul8215 your reply inspired me to watch this video again and i ended up just as blown away as before. what a gem this performance is. just couldnt be more perfect. and i loved the little shoulder shrug he did at the end essentially signaling that he knew he nailed it! theres an amazing video somewhere on youtube with willie and Faron and some other country music stars sitting around later in their careers reminiscing about the old days and willie and Faroh discuss the origins of this song. so fun if you can find it.
What a great expert analysis you did on this song. There is an interesting back-story on Hello Walls. "The song was absolutely instrumental in Nelson’s recognition by the country community. Soon after Young cut it, Willie offered to sell it to him (Young) for $500, such were his financial straits. Faron declined, loaning the writer the money so that he could keep the publishing on what would become one of his biggest copyrights." Try Faron Youngs version of Goin Steady, the 1970 version, awesome stuff from "The Young Sherff"
Whilst I 100% AGREE!! with your observations on Faron I am 100% CONFUSED!! with your reference to George? his voice was not that good to my ears, his tone was unpleasant as well, I am baffled beyond belief why he was so MASSIVELY OVERRATED!!
@@ninjabluewings you think that George Jones is an overrated singer? His popular 70s stuff, to me, is not his greatest but it is his most popular to date. His early stuff was chilling and the epitome of hard country. His delivery and note centering is so good it sounds auto tuned. Opinions are to each their own but if you haven’t dived into any of that you should
There ya have it folks, great song.
Now that s
Country
Music
Miss you
My Friend 😊👍📀
I miss the Sheriff, beautiful voice. Rest easy, Faron.
I've never yet heard a better voice in country music .
JIM REEVES THE PUREST OF ALL
George Jones
Remembering Faron Young born on February 25, 1932. He was an American country music producer, musician, and songwriter from the early 1950s into the mid-1980s. Hits including "If You Ain't Lovin' (You Ain't Livin')" and "Live Fast, Love Hard, Die Young" marked him as a honky-tonk singer in sound and personal style; and his chart-topping singles "Hello Walls" and "It's Four in the Morning" showed his versatility as a vocalist. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faron_Young
Does not get any better than Faron..and my gosh he was handsome
I'm a rocker but this guy and Jim Reeves are great in my book.

@@Amberlynn_Reid Really hate hearing people say that, look where it got this country ... clone statement.
Yeah , this version has a Texas Swing feel .
I really like it .
Also no silly back up singers going "Hello Hello" !
Beautiful! I like this version better than the record. Faron is just natural here!
Little bar called Chiefs in cabazon California, back in the early 70s sitting on a barstool another quarter in the jukebox sure that song brings back old memories
I loved this song when I was in seventh grade at Miami Springs Junior High School (South Florida) and I still love it now in January 2023. "Hello Walls" is an American country music song written by Willie Nelson and first recorded by Faron Young. It became a massive hit in 1961 reaching #1 country and spent 23 weeks on the chart. On other charts, it peaked at #12 pop, and was Young's only top 40 pop hit in the United States.
My parents and uncles and aunts loved faron today's music doesn't have any meaning so I'm listening to faron live . better than todays country .
poetry. love that song and Faron sings it like no other
Superb all round live performance.
This is one of Willie Nelson's classics that he wrote along with Crazy which Patsy Cline turned into a classic. The two songs propelled Willie into his long and wonderful time as a country& western and much more star. Faron Wells scored a winner on this tune thanks to Nelson.
From what I have read, Willie actually struggled getting this song to work. Faron showed him how to get the syncopation just right, and the tune was a super hit.
Yes the great Faron Young one of the first versions of hello walls
That Guitar looks HUGE
A GIBSON J-200,EXPENSIVE BUT WHAT AN INSTRUMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Willie Nelson wrote this. Great tune
Legendary
❤❤❤
Willie still at it
I’m not doing good
What an INSANELY GOOD VOICE!! I cannot possibly comprehend why so many country singers that are 100 TIMES BETTER!! than George Jones are so UNDER APPRECIATED!! and he was so MASSIVELY OVERRATED!! just PURE INSANITY!!
