Goes to show that Special Style is in fact useful, like Bamco intended it to be, despite its shortcomings. It doesn't matter how you feel about it, if it lets a complete beginner actually play on even ground and/or even win rounds off a seasoned pro, then it's working as intended. SS was never intended to actually let beginners BEAT pros, that'd be stupid... but it at least lets beginners PLAY without being subjected to not being able to get a single move off and getting completely washed end to end in seconds w/o any chance of resistance at all. That sort of situation is what makes new players quit, and kills games.
The fact that a buffoon can hang even with a seasoned pro means it's working too well. You get better at Tekken by losing. That's how the game works. I understand that getting perfected 20 times in a row doesn't help learning anything, but the same could be said about it being to easy. It shouldn't be so outlandish that you can do many things pros do with practice, just by pressing a button. How will they every learn input timings, spacing, combo routes or anything of the sort if it's all done for them at the push of a button?
@chakrashadow3220 but you do learn input timings, spacing through special style, this Jin proves it, He wouldn't have gotten as many things in if he didn't have any notion of spacing or timing. so he's not a total buffoon as you say and even then a total buffoon wouldn't even get as far. This Jin is so lucky that the fact that he's this predictable and gets away with shit that even some Jin veterans shouldn't makes it even more fun to watch. It would be scary if this Jin player eventually becomes very skilled instead of relying solely on luck.
special style really is like an emulation of pro tekken. You get a low combo, a power crush, and an air combo. And they may not be highest damage ones but they all can be chained together. So the game becomes simplified where all you have to think about is where to hit and where to block. And you get throws as well and almost automatic throw cancels.
Jokes aside, there’s a bunch of stuff you can do with special style in some characters, like easy mode cc ewgf for stagger lows, and you can turn special style off and still get the optimal combo. Nothing impossible for seasoned Mishima players, but it allows people who don’t play mishimas to pull these off.
This is how I played fighting games until recently (no idea what I was doing, sometimes won against WAY better players from pure unpredictability) until I actually learned them a bit better this last few years.

It's why fighting games are a niche genre. I don't use Special Style, but it seems to actually work as intended. To allow Players to actually *PLAY* the game they bought.
My guy this had nothing to do with special style he wasn't doing anything that requires actual execution dude was just playing with the main man's head
This Jin is so lucky that the fact that he's this predictable and gets away with shit that even some Jin veterans shouldn't makes it even more fun to watch. It would be scary if this Jin player eventually becomes very skilled instead of relying solely on luck.
I laughed at the title and thumbnail harder than I should have
PMP GALLO, The TRUE King of Iron Fist!
i saw this live 😂 this was absolutely hilarious. props to GALLO, what a gigachad.
And then there are forum pros saying "if you struggle with special style players you are just bad".
special style really is like an emulation of pro tekken. You get a low combo, a power crush, and an air combo. And they may not be highest damage ones but they all can be chained together. So the game becomes simplified where all you have to think about is where to hit and where to block. And you get throws as well and almost automatic throw cancels.
mainman should do a series where he gets characters he doesn't play at all to tekken king with only special style
Damn, I had no clue how funny it to see him slowly lose his mind over a casual being a casual 😂
watched it twice on previous video and will watch again.this match makes me laugh everytime
4 bar wifi special style Jin messed me up yesterday 🤣
I love this video man 😂😂. It's gonna be me, if I know no idea what I'm doing neither does my opponent
I learned so much from this Jin
The virgin fundamentals vs the chad special style
Kazuya’s a menace too. Instant electrics on one button, its actually hell.
Special Style fighters are like, heat smash, power crush, low attacks, rage arts, back dash, repeat. Genuis.
Got to give him a bit of credit that's the best use of special style I've seen so far
No way TMM actually made a separate upload for this madness 😂
Jesus... Thousands of hours of tekken and you almost got special styled
Now i know how to play Jin against Main Man xD
Knee: I am the Gawd of Tekken
Arslan: Hold my beer...
PMP Gallo: No 😏
This is how I played fighting games until recently (no idea what I was doing, sometimes won against WAY better players from pure unpredictability) until I actually learned them a bit better this last few years.
This truly was one of the matches of Tekken history
This is truly one of the Jin moments
