    Wasn't going to pay Autozone for Duralast Power Door Resistance Sensor SU15258 $408.00 upto $487.99 before tax
    or
    Ebay for New Power Door Resistance Pinch Sensor NGK PD0018 $275.78+$8.70 shipping
    or
    Ebay/junkyard for Used that will likely fail again
    So I bought: EDGELEC 100pcs 10K ohm Resistor 1/4w (0.25 Watt) ±1% Tolerance Metal Film Fixed Resistor on Amazon for $4.99 and just jumped BOTH the left and right side. DONE all is working. Thanks for the clear video diagnosis!

    I have a 2009 Buick Enclave CXL that does something similar. It goes all the way down like its about to close then it goes back up. Now Im having to manually slam the door, literally slam the door, to get it to close. Would the object sensors fix that?

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 2 lety

      Yes, I believe that is would probably be one object sensor is bad or both.. you have to test them with a voltage meter before you replace them. If you buy them new at the dealer they're very expensive.. the reason the doors opening up again the object sensor is sending a signal like if something is in way of closing so it opens up again it's a safety feature. Like if some had there hand in the door. If they are bad you can try to buy them from a salvage yard it'll probably be cheaper but I would suggest to test them before you purchase them with a voltage meter.. you look them up on this site they have all the junk yard in the USA www.car-parts.com
      Best of luck..👍

    Also having a latching problem with a 2006 srx. Once you open it it keeps trying to latch or lock or something. Have to have it open at a weird angle for it to stop and finally have it latch closed.

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 3 lety +1

      The handle has a sensor when you open it and might be getting stuck that's why he keeps making noise when it's open. You may have to clean the contacts on the handle. Also you could check the latch it also has a sensor that's only supposed run when the doors closed or when you're asking to open when you pull handle. Hope it helps👍

      @@autoadmaster4823 oh and whenever trying to use the automatic opening, it seems like it tries to go to far and makes a loud pop, so it's not sensing when to stop either

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 3 lety +1

      Not sure if you fix the Is latch problem. But as far as Loud popping noise when opens completely. That the arm.That is connected to the motor that opens the door. You may want to make sure that that arm is tight and not loose. Also check the The shocks that support the rear door. Once is open if the shocks are weak that's why the door makes the noise. The motor is supposed to open the door with that arm and the shocks are supposed to hold the door up. so if the shocks are weak the door will come down a little bit and make that noise Or may even start to close because the shocks are so weak. Hope this helps 👍

      Not sure if your door opens and stays open. if it does not stay open and starts going back down. You may need to replace the shocks or struts on the door they may be weak

    Hi , you didn't show how remove the covers . My 2007 SRX doesn't close the tailgate just open it .If you have other video to see removing the sensors please let me know. thanks

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 3 lety +2

      Hello sorry did not show that. But I had only remove the panels on inside. because I had also replace the motor. But that was not bad it was the both of Object sensor's that were bad. You do not have to take anything apart on the inside if your going to test them. There's a rubber grommet you need to lift the rubber grommet out and you'll be able to Pull the wire disconnected and test the object sensor. If the object sensor's bad. it's installed on the outside of the vehicle. Its the peace it's it's like it was a molding next to the Side quarter glass on each side. I believe they're held on by 2 small screws and Double sided tape. It was about a year and a 1/2 ago when I made the video don't have the vehicle anymore. Hope this helps. Good luck👍

    I have an esv that had a bad battery cable - negative. I replaced it ... now my liftgate doesn't work. makes noise and tries to open...but doesnt.... is there a reset?

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 3 lety

      If it worked before the cable was replace then it should work the same. I would check the new cable to make sure it has good ground. Is by checking continuity on the motor and the body of the vehicle. Normaly one Negative cable Goes to the body of the car and the other negative cable goes to the engine. There is a reset if you have access to Good scanner Like GM Tech 2. You can go in and check for codes on the rear door and I'll tell you what's wrong with it and the scanner also has a way of resetting the door and test it from Scanner. But if you do not have access the best thing to do is to disconnect all power from the vehicle Then press the brake Pedal inside to drain all the power from the system. Wait a couple minutes and touch the power cable disconnected off the battery to the negative Cable on the battery and that should reset everything on the vehicle. Best of luck..

    I also have an 2007 Cadillac SRX and I can't get my hatch unlocked . I hit the button on the remote and it pops but it won't unlock it to let it open , what can I do to manually unlock the hatch with it stocked closed?.

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 2 lety

      From what you say it sounds like you may have to replace the the latch mechanism. That is what unlocks and locks the door.
      If you are unable open the door you are going to have to take apart the door panel by the inside to manually open the door. Some vehicle have small cover on the rear hatch panel by the inside that you can remove to unlock the door from inside manually you'll have to look..

      You have to check the handle on the back door. You may have to replace it.
      It maybe bad that's why you are unable to open it from there.

  • @jahsuajosephrodrigueznotmy5068

    I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX it doesn't open my motor. I have to manually open it but that's not the problem the problem is the back door won't lock it closes and opens fine it just won't lock when I lock the rest of the doors can you help me find a solution

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 3 lety +1

      It sound like the latch might be bad. The latch is what engages and also locks and unlocks the rear door. If you're latches badd you'll be able to open and close a door but it will not lock and on some of these doors the it. Actually pulls the door in to Lock completely. I know that on Cadillac SRX 2008 It has a sensor on the latch And when the door is closing the Latch pulls a door in for a tight close. Not sure if it the same on the 2004. Hope this helps.good luck.👍

      IT MAYBE THE LATCH ON THE DOOR MAYBE BAD AND DOES NOT KNOW WHEN DOOR IS FULLY CLOSED.
      YOU MAY WHANT TO CLEAN THE DOOR JAM ALL THE WAY AROUND ALSO MAKE SURE THE CLEAN THE RUBBER ON THE DOOR JAM OF THE BACK DOOR MAKE SURE TO CLEAN THE EDGE OF THE SENSORS ON BOTH SIDES. IT MAY HELP BEFORE YOU REPALCE ANYTHING.

    My 2010 Cadillac CTS-V liftgate will not open at all. Any ideas on how to get it to open without paying $1000s to the dealership?

    • @autoadmaster4823
      @autoadmaster4823  Před 3 lety

      Not sure but most vehicle have a key hole to unlock the rear door. I'm guess you have a CTS V wagon. If it had a truck it would have a Is emergency pull by the inside of the trunk to open.
      If does not have a key hole. You will have to remove the rear panel from the inside the car to open it. But before you do any of that you need to check relay that controls the rear door Swap it with another one and check Fuses that run that accessory. It may just have a bad one. Good luck..
