I had a remote start installed at Best Buy/I did purchase it there. When I went to go pick up my car. It didn’t start, I had to leave it there pick it up the next day. The guy that installed the Remote start said “ my battery cable was loose“ Never had any issues with my battery cable being loose before this. Three days later my car wouldn’t start again. I returned to Best Buy and have them remove the remote start. A week later my car doesn’t wanna start again,And now I can’t get it to start at all. Please help

My family has a 2012 Ford Escape with an aftermarket remote start but with a different problem. In our case the taillights and license plate lights won’t work if you start it with the ignition key, but do work only when you remote start the vehicle. The remote start system is made by Viper.

I installed the H011SAJ401 Subaru remote starter into a 2010 Outback. Everything works except the car will not start. goes into and out of service mode, beeps horn etc. Battery is at 12.6V. IF Subaru dealer service tech did not pair the starter brain box to the the vehicle security brain box, will the remote start not engage the starter motor?
I don’t know a whole lot about aftermarket systems, this info is mainly for factory remote starts, I would contact whoever makes the remote starter they would have a better idea.
One thing they should warn you about before deciding to get a remote starter is that it does not work well from behind the car. I have to be within 30 feet of the back of my car where it is in a detached garage, and then walk back inside the house to wait for the heater to warm the car up. I wanted this thing so I could start it from inside the house, but instead I have to go clear outside and walk up to the garage, then walk back to the house to wait. (Out in a parking lot, I can start it from 100 feet if I am the front of the car). It seems hardly worth the $350 I paid for it if I have to go outside a ways to use it to start my car at home.
i have Nustart 2 way remote starter and i use this when cold season comes., Now my issue i could remotely start my car however fob key wont lock or unlock door. even car shut off still unable . Anyone know how to fix this?
Checked all of the above… still won’t work … well it works but this latest prestige alarm remote start only runs for 15 seconds …. Plus it’s not a genuine remote start as when you start it unlock the door turn the key to ignition and press the brake to put the car into drive the car shuts off every time …so you have to manually start the car again … security measure bullshit … because you own the car and have the key in your hand
I have a nustart and all key buttons function properly but when I try to start it, it turns on the screen in my car, makes a noise but doesn’t actually start the car, can anyone help?
My problem is that 1 out of 5 the car start but shuts down after 1 sec.... The rest of the time its perfectly fonctional ! Whats up with that ?!?!.! 2015 forester.

Is there a work around to bypass the check engine light so the remote will always work.
My heat won’t start until I’m physically in the vehicle & put my foot on the brake.
Did you find a fix? Got this problem too.
Unfortunately I did not. I don’t even bother with remote start anymore especially if the electrical won’t start until I’m in the vehicle

Check to see if the remote start setting quiet start is on. If it is turn it off, and see if that works.

Does the anti-theft system interfere with remote start? Mine starts the engine but then shortly shuts off and displays the anti-theft dash symbol.
