You've no idea how jealous I am of your weather. I've a 1996 XJR x300 in Ireland and I lose sleep nightly thinking about the rust just eating it away.
I have the 1995 of the same car and the weather keep hindering me from getting under my car in england lol
God bless you for uploading this video, you are single-handedly helping others keep their jags on the road by doing this.
Good job! I did it on my XJ40! Now I just need to find a place to "lathe" my front brake discs, as they are warped!
Excellent videos Jesse! Been working on Jaguars for 40 years, well done.
At about 2 minutes in, you can see the lower front shock bushing is badly worn… I’ve replaced a ton of these. It can be a bit of a hassle, but use a c-clamp to press it out, makes it easier (and to press the new one in). Will quiet down that front end knocking sound.
At about 9:30 into the video, it looks like you went ahead and replaced the bushings when you installed those Bilsteins. Bet that Jag rides nice and quiet after all that work!
Jesse is the go too … thanks so much doing mine this week.
Bro, this video makes doing the job so much easier. Thank you from sunny South Africa.
Good to hear your opinion on the B6's. I see lots of people saying similar things on the forums.
Jesse, you have NO idea how perfect the timing of this video is. I JUST ordered ball joints and bushings yesterday.
Ok...so now any chance you're planning on doing a xj40 torque convertor video? 😂
Awesome video Jesse I like how the top ball joints are held in by the two bolts I figured they were pressed in. I love you too buddy. You're a mighty fine guy.
Awesome detailed explanation, great job! Thank you for sharing.
Not just good, BUT EXCELLENT video! Clear instruction, detailed & perfect camera work! A+, Jesse!
PS I need to replace the rear shocks on my 97 XJ6VP! Have you done it yet?
It's not too tough. You don't even need a spring compressor, but make sure you put in fresh upper donuts. They're about $40 a side.
Great video. What is the correct track rod end
Man you are spoiled with that car. The 2001 XJ8 balljoints are so much more difficult.
Thanks, just got ball joints, tie rod ends and sway bars, also got new anti roll bar bushes, can i replace these all at the same time ?
hey thanks for the video
Can you tell us the total cost of the parts?
Hey Jesse, did you have to use any thread locker on the sway bar links (last part of the video), I just did mine and I didn’t use any but did them up nice and tight.
So two questios. Do you have to remove the caliper? And will this be similar to reapairing a 2001 XJ?
