Christopher Reeve's Son Will Reveals The Special Way He Kept Connected To His Dad After His Death

- It's been 15 years since "Good Morning America" correspondent Will Reeve lost his father, "Superman" actor Christopher Reeve. Ahead of the difficult anniversary, Will spoke to Access Hollywood guest correspondent Lilliana Vazquez about his favorite memory with his father. He also reacted to a decades-old Access interview taken at his local hockey rink, and he revealed that playing hockey was one way he felt close to Christopher after his passing. "Having an outlet to sort of focus on really helped me out, and it also kept me connected to my dad. Our favorite sport was hockey, and he was always right there … I always felt his version of a thumbs-up," Will tells Access.

He didn't just lose his father though, but he lost his mother shortly after. I'm glad to see that he's doing so well.

Yes he is like the perfect product of the 2 of them together. Great guy and anyone who says he hasn't been through a rough ride, despite financial priveledge, is full of it. Imagine growing up with a quadriplegic father who is a household name and losing both of them around the same time when he was just 12. He could have went any direction, instead he kept it positive and lived a full life as his parents did.
Damn I felt so bad for him. His dad and not having an active dad cuz of his injury and then his mother dies shortly after I can’t even imagine what he went through. Seems like such a nice guy. Bless him.
There is a video of him reading a letter about looking forward & up from rock bottom. It makes you proud of him for pressing forward.
@@ataerabella Absolutely. He seems like he’s held it together so well. I admire him for it. In some ways, I think his older son Matthew has been hit harder on the outside at times when I see separate interviews from both of them.

What a lovely guy, the apple sure didn't fall far from the tree. Tragically, just 17 months after his father's death, Will lost his mother to lung cancer, aged 44. She had never smoked.
That both of his parents should have died so young was hugely against the odds. But for the relatively short time he had with them both, they obviously did a great job raising him. I didn't realised he was so young when his dad was paralysed. It's sad his only memories of him are in a wheelchair. Thank God he can watch so much of his father on screen, when he was able bodied. At 6ft 4ins with the looks of an Adonis, Christopher Reeve was a very impressive presence who turned heads everywhere he went, God bless him.
I always looked up to Christopher and Dana, seeing there beautiful son is so nice. I still carry a dove coin from there foundation. I wish things could have been different for Will, i am sure he does to. He has made the best out of tragedy and so have I.

He did a great acting job in "Somewhere in time", the way he looked up from the display case and looked to his right to see the picture of Elise McKenna (Jane Seymour).
I bet he really misses and loves his dad, William is very blessed to be the son of Superman, let's hope one day he puts on the red Cape.

I’m a stupid batman fan to the pint where I make fun of Superman for being an overgrown boy-scout....but when I think about Christopher Reeve when he played Superman he .....he makes the drepression and anxiety of life go away....he makes me believe that there are good people in the world....he makes me believe a man can fly.....he makes me believe in magic again....and for an old man like me that’s better than anything.
