I just binged the entire season in two days. It was powerful, thought provoking, and heartbreaking. Well done.
Sigourney Weaver is really showing herself to be a performer without borders. Alien and Aliens in England, Gorillas in the Mist in Africa, then more recently appearing in Doc Martin again in the UK and now this Australian TV series - and seemingly adopting an Australian accent! She's clearly up for new challenges and new environments and I applaud her for that. She will always be best-known for Ellen Ripley and perhaps rightfully so, but I'm just impressed and stoked that she's still working and getting featured prominently.
Also a British grandmother in A Monster Calls. A wonderful movie that so many people haven't seen.
One of my favorites she is in, is one many may not know about or have seen. Its Snow White: A Tale of Terror. Though I had seem Sigourney Weaver in things prior to this one. This particular one sticks out for me and a horror movie at that. She plays an amazing wicked step mother.
Can't forget Avatar
To me she’s the female version of Tom Hanks..
I was so wrong about this stunning tv series. I do not know that book, hence I thought it was about romance and a failed marriage. But heck, I am ashamed of misjudging this convincing tv show. It is a story about female empowerment. Very emotional and very strong. I cannot wait for season 2.
The way Dreams really kicks in at that shot of Clem and how hard “women will come and they will go” at the shots of the powerful and fractured women in the show hits beautifully
Yes. Really digging this musical arrangement. Hope it's on the official soundtrack 🙏
Honestly I can't wait to see this adaptation. The book is really intense, Alycia is gonna rock as Alice
This story is phenomenal and riddled with symbolism of flowers and whispers of secrets never spoken. It has a message that needs to be told... The many stories that need to be shared. As beautiful as a rose but beware of its thorns. Sigourney Weaver's best performance to date... She deserves awards for her June Hart 🤩
Why? I was littled bored. I don't understand women who let men act like it and I don't understand why they don't solve the problem. Yet there are so many ways to solve it..
@@janevim9778 I SAY this too but then I THINK ABOUT IT and you come to realise that not everybody has the same courage, some women take this as normal because they grew up in the same enviroment, some people are mentally already damaged or they're simply just crazy about that person they can't leave them. Human brain/mind is a bissssh if it wants to be... And also: we shouldn't judge because you never know-it can happen to you even if you think it can't. Even the strongest people can break.
I agree, she was amazing. The shame that is perpetrated on women for being in violence is often by others, even women, who are ignorant to the psychological harm, emotional trauma of being in violence. The brain is changed. Trauma can be vicarious, observed or felt. Sensitive and extraordinary this series and the acting blew my mind.
I can't believe Alycia and Sigourney in the lost flowers of Alice hart together ❤️❤️
This cast is stacked with talent.
I'm here for the Fleetwood Mac. One of their very best songs. The haunting, yet angelic voice Stevie is perfect for this movie.
This track is just for the trailer. The show's music has beautiful atmospheric tracks!
Tv series.
The greatest voice of all time Stevie Nicks inside Fleetwood Mac.
i found this show/book by way of the soundtrack composer - Hania Rani. i've been an enormous fan of hers for some time & she's been extremely prolific lately. This looks fascinating & will begin it this weekend. Anyone who enjoyed the music should definitely check out Rani's other music - all of it is so visceral, alive, emotive, & transportive.
What's the title?
Sigourney Weaver really shows how creative she is. I love the story line of how positive the indigenous characters are positive and caring. this how my experience in life has been and a story that needs to be explored more. please season 2!
This is going to be amazing. Alicia is a great actress and to see Sigourney in this is wild..and my fave Leah Purcell!!!!! This is too much.
Wowza. Best TV Ive seen in awhile, perhaps since Bloodline or Fargo. Congrats to all who worked on the show, cinematog, scoring, editing, writing, and acting, everything is tops
Now I know why Sigourney Weaver is one of my favorite actresses. Excellent movie choices 👌.❤❤
I watched the first 3 episodes last night and I am totally hooked... was hooked after the first half of the first episode.. looking forward to the rest!
Was looking forward to show. Im glad it did not disappoint.
Even though this series had me in tears because of my childhood and my adulthood, I absolutely loved it
This kid performance was outstanding 😮❤
I absolutely loved the episodes! Exceptional acting by all. Especially Sigourney . I want the Australian flower book of all native flowers❤ thumbs up.
One of the best episodes on prime! Sigourney Weaver is sublime in her role, and I think she looks beautiful! as a lover of flowers, myself, my grandmothers, loved flowers we had fields and fields of them. I grew up around them I still at almost 70 grow and understand them,so for me it evoked such profound, beautiful memories and emotion from my childhood. It’s been a long time since I’ve watched something that moved my spirit so much. As a woman who has not been abused, I understand what it is and I knew women that were..you must know how to drive so you can drive as far away from your situation as possible and you must have your own money so that you can survive without your abuser.
That was a very powerful statement in episode 3 and I hope that message reaches someone in need. If the future is female, then we must stand strong and unbroken. The look on Sigourney Weaver space as June hard when they told her, the baby boy was surviving was one of regret he might be an innocent baby, but I’m sure she was hoping that he wouldn’t survive because she won’t know if he’ll grow up with the same damage that his father possessed, and Thornfield is a place for women only. Can’t wait to see the other episodes. ❤
That is why it is important that women do not get married or have children before they get and education that gives them good skills to survive on their own. Even if they don't have an abusive person in their life someone could always pass away.
are you real?
Will there be additional episodes?
What a wonderful comment. You make me want to read a book about your life and the fields of flowers. You are an excellent writer.
Loved your life story, growimg up around growing flowers.
Only just started watching this a few days ago and absolutely loving everything about!!!!!!!
Just finish watching series, I loved it! I looked forward to watching it every Thursday, I hope they do bring it back, but it is always hard to top perfection.
Limited series. It won't be returning.
Australian TV and film productions are becoming unbeatable recently. Troppo, Deadloch, Mr Inbetween and now this.
This looks visually stunning!!!
There is such a lot to unpack in this trailer. I will be watching in a quiet dark room, no destra
Definitely looking forward to watching this series.
This is going to be so good!! But if you haven't read The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart by Holly Ringland, GET ON IT! We know the book is always better, and if the trailer looks this good... well just imagine how spectacular the book is. Beautiful prose, compelling characters, a new Australian classic.
So far it's one of best for a long time.
Wunderbar, berührend, zauberhaft, tragisch, sowas von super gut!!! Das Beste was ich seit langem gesehen habe und wie bei einem guten Buch, am Ende traurig, dass es vorbei ist.
I lost it at the scene with all the women gathered around the bonfire in the desert 😢
I am here for Sigourney , living legend
Frankie Adams from The Expanse is in this as well as Sigourney Weaver? I'm in!
Started it this afternoon and liking it!
alycia and signourney working together
I almost stopped, it is a slow moving series BUT I'm so glad I didn't!! It's so powerful!!!!!!♥️ Great show
Susan “Sigorney” Weaver is just beyond words. The word that always comes to my mind first is “captivating”.
SW is one actress I will always watch.
Heartbreaking tragic emotional all with so few words...only near the end of the piolet
They had me at Sigourney Weaver.
Sigourney I think is the new non Australian, emphasis on American who may actually be able to tackle an authentic Aussie accent instead of a terrible one like most of her fellow countrymen and English people!
As if I needed another reason to love her!!!
Nah...she sounds and looks tribal in it but good acting.
There is such a lot to unpack in this trailer. I will be watching in a quiet dark room, no distraction. 😊
Watch this show just yesterday. I'm crying every f... ng episode😢
Why? I was littled bored. I don't understand women who let men act like it and I don't understand why they don't solve the problem. Yet there are so many ways to solve it..
La maltraitante faite aux femmes, les secrets de famille destructeurs ça c’est le côté sombre mais les paysages la musique et les interprètes tous sans exception rendent cette série totalement envoûtante. Merci pour ce moment.
Leah Purcell is an icon and with Sigourney on screen lets go 🔥
Cant wait! Love me some ADC
Wonderful series, wonderful.Just finished it.Some series remain close to the heart.🌻

@@janevim9778 women who are brought up Knowing survival and toxic childhood, toxic parents mostly seek the same treatment from their partners.Seeinh from outside we can tell he is a very bad person, but I myself was in a toxic relationship like this and believe me to this day I can't really think my bf as devil he was in my mind.I often try to forgive him in my mind,When they cry we can see us who cried for help in the childhood. There are difference between children who brought up in survival mode and safe mode.I can feel how you can't understand it,And getting out from these kind of relationships are very very hard those who can they become a very very powerful person.
Incredible soundtrack
I'm here for Alycia❤
I still have hope "Alicia Clark" will make an appearance somewhere in the final-final episodes of FTWD, even if its just some new flashback scenes.. 🤞😢👍🙏
Great series…what a story, just pulls you in.
It looks amazing! Sigourney Weaver? I´m in
Why did no one tell me Alycia Debnam-Carey and Sigourney Weaver were co-starring together? Now I HAVE to watch this show.
Great series. 5 stars
One of the best series on Netflix-
On Amazon!
Hahahaha stop it!
No! It's on Tubi!
@@dachicagoan8185 I'm logging out 😂 I know you did not 🫣 heck naw
Lissie’ song is playing during the trailer. She is a fantastic.
I love to watch this show!!!
god this show is so good
It’s interesting to look at the messaging in a moving series or film. It’s always there if you look. If it’s a message that inspires division, which is often the case, it’s good to consider who it is that benefits from division between people.
Just started watching. Love the show! I forgot that was Sigourney W. I thought it was that British actress Tamzin Outhwaite from theTower bc it was recommended to me in britbox via amz prime
I usually control myself when watching a series but i broke my rules. I couldn't wait until the following evening. It is that good.
I didn't know be that good I need season 2
Beautiful ❤
Yay aussie alycia is back no american accent needed 👍🏻♥️
Got famous in the states
@louischase994 the states made margot robbie famous worldwide she stated on a australian soap opera called neighbours

Die beste Serie seit langem, vor allem für Frauen 😢😢😢😢
Well I’ve been looking for a book to read and I think I found it! I’ll definitely read it before watching g the show
SIGOURNEY IN AUSTRALIA?!?! ❤
I'm simple human: I see Alycia Debnam-Carey I watch. Take my money
Master Gardener cinematic universe?
Dark. Never read the novel. I kind of want to now.
SAURONNN WHAT R U DOING HERE???"
Does anyone know if this version of the song is available without the acting words over the top?
Lissie-dreams (piano version)
Name song?
Great series! I love Twig and Candy! Great acting. Call me Twigg
The book is way more beautiful and deep and the live action just seems too mysterious and feels more like a thriller so read the book first
i luv traukers
Ok should I read the book before watching this y’all?
Ally Hills song yayyyyy
It's Neen's! 😉
A bit odd that both of Alycia Debnam-Carey's shows post-FTWD are based on best-selling novels which feature her character mysteriously losing loved ones as a very young girl.
Its like a female version of true detective 😂
C'mon Prime: We don't need the "Flash half the trailer in the first 5sec" bs.
That might be done as it grabs your attention if this video is used as an ad or played in autoplay.
Most people click out in the first five seconds, it’s an advertising tactic
😳😳😳😳
Lexa we meet again
Is this just a Drama/Mystery series or does this have supernatural elements too?
Exactly what I was thinking
I just wanna know what song this is
Dreams by Fleetwood Mac!
Can someone explain to me how the barn and house caught on fire? Did the dad beat alice and her mother before dying?
Watch. You will learn❤
What is this about
Is the supernatural?
Best series about domestic violence so far...😢
Fleetwood
Who did this cover
@@cyttoraknz8622 Lissie
Looks good, but who is singing?
It’s Fleetwood Mac but the original doesn’t sound like this; prob an edit or cover
@@Gabriel_Menendez that's what I was getting at, I love it.
Found it, it's by Lissie
What is the show even about
This Drama has put the movie, Gone with the wind now as boring, honestly. I Loved Sigourney Weavers Character all the way through, captivating. Putting the necesary respectful spotlight on mature aging women too!!
After the FTWD good ending im looking forward to alycia...
Who son is Charlie?

Clem’s son, so Alice’s brother, who everyone believes died along with his parents
Have to ask why does the show have undercurrents of hate for men in it, was the book that way? There must be a back story i am missing.
Most traumatised women are victims of men .
Where did you see hate for men ? I saw so much hate for women by men because it's still what is happening in 2023. Misogyny kills.
Why is it that when I hear Aussie’s in film (as an Australian) they always sound very much like New Zealanders?
Maybe I’m not self aware of how I sound, but I swear Aussie’s aren’t that nasal-y.
Ha Ha just like Aussies who sound like they are speaking with a mouthful of hot sauce in their mouth.
Depends on which state they are from, but I can always tell a NZ accent straight away, it doesn't sound the same at all.
I know Frankie Adams is from NZ but she only spoke a few words in the trailer.
Bakwaas
Snoozefest
Is that supposed to be an Australian accent Sigourney's doing? If so, it's almost as bad as Meryl's was when she portrayed Lindy Chamberlain. "Oh, Gawd, a ding-gahr'z got moy bayboy..."
I'm not actually sure she is. I don't know her character yet
And as for Meryl Streep I'm sure that was the script.
Meryl is one of the finest actors to live.
It definitely isn't american which is good since it's an australian show
Lol😂 every time I think of a terrible Australian accent, I think of Meryl butchering that line in the movie!!
FFS it's bad enough most Americans can't do foreign accents for 💩, but how dare they cast her for that role.🤦🏽♀️ As much as I really love Meryl Streep, it was an absolute insult to poor Lindy Chamberlain, who had been through enough mockery.😭💔 Besides we have plenty of incredible actors who could've played the part👌🏽💕
It's actually a very good Aussie accent..and Meryls' was a very good Kiwi/aussie accent (not easy to pull off)..no idea what your talking about, and who gives a rats anyway!
Would of been good if it wasn't Australian
