@@anniewebber-gs5juWilliam didn't speak to his mother for weeks after she didn't pre-warn him about her infamous TV interview where she admitted (one of) her affair while accusing her husband of adultery. William was away at boarding school at the time and got ridiculed by his fellow students - and is on record as confirming this! Diana was good at the 'fun things' with her children but is probably the reason why both sons hate photographers - she always let them know where she would be and when to ensure frontpage coverage: Meghan has studied her well. It is his father and grandparents who have taught Prince William well. Obviously he loves and misses his mother but she did NOT raise him well.
The huge difference between a RF member and a politician is the lenght of time they're able to give to a charity. The King worked for almost 50 years with The Prince's Trust, helping more then a million people better their lives. Which is fabulous. Wishing the POW & all those involved best of luck in ending homelessness.
Prince William is class act to follow, he is such an amazing person and a great king. Bless him, his wife Princess Catherine and his 3 wonderful kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

His mother has had very little to do with him as she died when he was young it is his father and grandparents Princess Anne and Catherine etc etc who have shaped him into the kind caring and fine man who will one day be King I am so GLAD he was first born

Prince William is a humble kind man!
He's going to make an awesome king one day. What he did the other day, sneaking up and suprising the woman with the horse and allowing a big hug is sooo human - his mum shines through him.
And they say the Royals are a waste of money .... they work harder than the average person. Huge Respect.
They also bring in huge revenue from tourism.
As a member of generation rent, I've felt concerned about being homeless in retirement. I'm grateful that Prince William is trying to do something about the unaffordability of housing.

Prince William is the kind of king a monarchy needs, accessible to his people, and the fact that people are shocked that they can be absentmindedly sipping an afternoon coffee while at his side is the future King of England just proves my point. Lady Di really raised her boy well.
Actually his environmental beliefs are from his father and his sense of humour.
Prince Charles did a good job as well.
Actually I personally think his father and the Queen were his greatest influence. Diana spoiled the kids, especially Harry. The Queen made it her mission to raising William to take over the throne.

if it wasn't for the fact that I knew you spent the day with Prince William, my nerves would not have been able to handle the first few minutes of this video.
The combination of his exposure with the royal family and his duties for his work ethics and grit, combined with lifelong lessons from his mother have made him a total package of a humanitarian. Definitely is already a great leader and model and will be an awesome King one day. All the best.

This is so inspirational it made me teary-eyed. 😢 Actual "boots on the ground" humanitarian work finding real solutions. No fancy speeches, star studded benefits, massive agencies collecting donations & having no idea how the money is spent. True aid without agenda nor politics. Hi,I am a 63 year old retired nurse, currently travelling round the uk in my Motorhome withDOAC in my ears. What I love most is how it makes me rethink and reevaluate my thought patterns. If older people are to stay relevant in this world they have to keep their mind open and you certainly do that. Thank you for making me think and keeping me company
Hi. Had to respond to this! I’m on the other side of the fence; a chronic mast cell patient with reactions so out of control I’ve lost tolerance to standard houses. I’ve moved into a teardrop camper to seek out locations that are free of my immune system’s triggers - the only advice doctors have until treatments become more effective. It’s a challenge and a half, isolating but also enlightening. DOAC is helping to provide me with inspiration daily.
Nurses are my favourite people. In no small way, they’ve kept me alive beyond my sell by date. 🤍

I am from the dinosaur time, Steven's podcast helps me understand the problems we need to address in our minds and hearts to live a full life of understanding, there is maybe a space for retired people to help more in making the lives of others better. We have lived most of the cycle of our lives, ups and downs, heartbreaks and heart fillers and come to a place when we need to understand and accept its life in a world we cant change or control at a macro level, however we can do one thing each day to help unravel the sins of our political, social and economic constraints we live in. For me its not what works in the system, its for does it does not include. I apologise for ranting here, but feel so good in trying to express myself. Thank you and Thank you Steven, for your energy and strength and vision 🙂

I love your show and Prince William...what a guy. I can see you on board with HRH, can do so much for homelessness in the UK, I live in a home that our city in Cape Town has given to those who cannot afford to purchase a home and live under a certain bracket. And we own these homes.

I know you can’t help everybody as some people don’t want to be helped, but everybody deserves to be treated like a human sometimes just making eye contact and saying good morning makes that happen. It hurts my heart how totally lost some people are. Life can be so sad.

I'm old enough to be your grandmother, have watched you from the start of this channel. Retired now but the last couple of years of my working life were miserable due to managers who hadn't the faintest idea how to treat people let alone manage them. Loved the part on homelessness, came back to the UK a couple of years ago and no one willing to help with housing of any kind or assistance to pay rent as earning minimum wage and that is deemed enough to look after yourself. Thankful for roadside motels where we had to live for a few months, no assistance even to find accommodation, but we managed and eventually ended up renting privately.

I'm a local Bournemouth fella and I was just talking with my friend about Bournemouth's homelessness this morning- how they council have attempted to social cleanse the area over the years: from playing Alvin and the chipmunks on repeat at Bournemouth bus station (to deter sleepers), to buying bus tickets for the homeless to move them away to places up north. So, it was quite surprising I came across this video shortly after.
Hats off to you Steve and Prince William, it's about time the focus and care is centred on battling homelessness, especially when there is a housing crisis in the UK, however, you must understand many homeless have adapted to the the lifestyle of the streets, even prefer it, and find it abnormal living in accomodation. Not just a practical issue but an emotional issue too.
I believe life skills should be taught in schools from a young age; from opening up a bank account, to hanging a shelf, to cleaning and organising one's home, etc. This may appear patronising but it's surprising how often ignorance seeps into adulthood. Some parents are not capable of teaching these life lessons because they were never taught themselves.
Education and compassion go a long way.
I was feeling despondent with the recent hatred toward the homeless from government, seeing humanity & values put into action by you & Prince William has refilled my heart with hope ❤

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode - made me feel emotional seeing the Pret scenes and I'm not sure why - the real handshakes, the laughter, Prince William really genuinely wants to make a difference. Seeing him a vlog too? So cool. And that he wants to reach your audience? Incredible. I wouldn't have known about his work (this work) from the news, but I do now, from this vlog. Modern media is so important. Your platform is (obviously) so important Steven. You bring information and ideas to MILLIONS - things we'd never otherwise have access to.

I know this is kinda random, but I drew a picture of Prince William when I was still in school from the cover of a magazine. He was a baby in Princess Diana’s arms. It’s strange to see him all grown up, going bald even, and very much the mature adult absolutely fit and ready to be the king. Makes me feel so incredibly old.

I find this channel so inspiring in its content and Steve in particular. To come from his difficult life being supported by his single Mum, to where he is now is a recipe which can be followed. The homeless here in Australia are also struggling, living in cars and going to work, showering wherever they can. So many homes are holiday rentals and other landlords are selling up due to interest and other rising costs. Rising rents make it unaffordable for many thousands and trying to save for the big dream is nigh impossible The fact that Prince William is helping in such a visible and productive way is hopefully going to get the UK homeless off the couch and streets. With Steve's input and experience in with the team It will make a difference.
Hopefully, the United States will pick up a thing or too. Homelessness is everywhere, and rent in Miami, Florida 🌴 is extremely high. Some folks have two jobs just to stay afloat.

Ending homelessness in 5 years is like saying, I want to end drug addiction in 5 years. I hope he can make a difference in many lives, can inspire them to help themselves and to grow and mature.

Fantastic work, so desperately needed. I’m in The States but I’m sure it’s similar. People would be stunned to discover who some of the homeless are and to hear their stories. It’s not always comfortable because it shows this can happen to anyone. When it does, it’s not only a cruel, frightening turn of life, but often a terrible waste of a person’s skills and talents from which all could benefit. They often just need some peace of space and mind to build stability from which they can re-engage independently with life. You and all who help the homeless are in my prayers.

I still get teary when I see the scenes of the fan who hugged Steven and cried her eyes out.
I had to stop it half way to write this appreciation - love the edit sooooo much. The way it is put together is ace - The music, the shots, the cut aways. Great job whoever was responsible. My deceased partner was a film maker so I do know enough about the subject to appreciate the work that goes into these creations.
