Só quem é das comunidades e favelas do Brasil sabe que o Edu (vocalista do Facção Central) canta a realidade de várias crianças. Essa música é a realidade de muitos. Nasci vendo isso e desde pequeno eu ouço esse som, mas eu nunca tinha percebido o quão pesado é, porque de fato está na minha realidade. Hoje pude notar, através desta reação que realmente é extremamente difícil o que é falados. Nós estamos anestesiados, não temos noção e dimensão do quanto sofremos por aqui.

The candidates for presidency were always "bad". We don't have a "good one". If you talk to anyone from here, they'll likely tell you that the one they chose was the least worse.
And that applies for other government jobs. It's kinda funny to watch the electoral TV shows, because they try to win your vote by being funny are going viral rather than anything else.
So you have this elite that controls the government and they punch hard on education in order to make you contest it even less.

There was this kid in my neighborhood, when I was really young, who asked around for food and money, and he appeared to have bruises. One day my mom asked a local if they knew who his parents was, and he said that the kid's mom made the kid sleep in the streets if he didn't bring money home. Neighbors had already contacted child protection but nothing was done, and each time someone called, the kid would show up with more bruises. Until we never saw him again. The kid was my age, and sometimes I still think about him. No child should live through poverty and pain.
I know child abuse is a somewhat universal theme, but I feel Brazil still has a long way to go, we don't protect our children as we should. Especially if they're black and poor.

We lived in a bad neighborhood, I lived with our aunt since I was a baby while she lived with our mother. Both of us had seen people we grow with going through things like that. I cried a lot when I heard the shot!
Another thing that I would like to say is that if you want to understand the reasons and the history of favelas do a research about the end of slavery in Brazil. The slaves who sudenly became free had no lands, no money, no jobs and the law and the institutions were against them. All that left for them was the hills where they builded the favelas. The slavery build Brazil.

Shiiiit, this is probably the heaviest music I can remember from any Rap group in Brazil in its pure rawness. Facção Central really is in a level of its own with Racionais but they are a lot more angrier and nihilist in its messages.
In the passage where the color comes to the screen, the context is as follows: One day he took the money he got from asking on the streets instead of giving it to his mother and bought a Sticker Album from Corinthians (his football team). Then he proceds to say that he does not care if he dies because of it if he can have one day to smile in life, and fades to black again when he procceds to speak of the beatings he got because of it.
If you like to see a more modern side of the brazilian Rap you should check out Favela Vive Part 3, a feat with great names of today that has english subtitles on its youtube video.

And on Facção Central songs, the message is not always a positive one because, as the live is, some times the things just end badly.
