I really cannot express enough if you haven't played this game before due to not having a compatible console, *please* get this game when it comes out on Switch. I was never a big JRPG fan, but this game quite literally stole my heart and took me on such an incredible journey that it felt like a legit chapter of my life once I had finished it. Incredible storytelling and game mechanics, one of if not my favorite game of all time.

This game makes me so unbelievably happy. I picked it up at a low point in my life and it really gave me the strength I needed to get out of that dark place. If you like JRPG's and themes of Rebellion and fighting against an unjust society, pick this game up. You will not be disappointed. I wish I could erase my memory of this game just to experience it for the first time all over again.

Literally navigating through the menus feels great. This game is easily an innovative masterpiece, in its fast paced battles, in its highly motivating story-telling, in its social links more games should take note.
Its just Shin megami tensei game.

@@nick_galfi9312 Switch is literally the fifth most successful platform of all time and there are tons of ports that do well regardless of the game's age. If Switch players want a game to come over, they will willingly wait if they have to. For them it's basically a new game so its age doesn't even matter. That and Atlus has an extremely strong following on Nintendo consoles

I think it's cos of the switches mobility u can move it easy so you could play it places u wouldn't normally be able to
theres something about personas theme that is relaxing and at the same time hyping you up. as if your emotions are splitting into two and it feels so good.

I'm so happy for everyone to finally experience thos master piece, it had a huge effect on me and it's probably one of, if not my favourite game ever. I put 170 hours into Royal and don't regret a minute a minute of it. The councillor deserves special attention though

Absolutely incredible game and I'm glad its finally coming to other platforms.
I knew some things about persona over the years but never really tuned into the series until recently (December) when it came out for steam. I decided why not because it looked cool. Persona is now one of my favorite franchises of all time, I have over 300hrs+ on P5R having new game plus 3 times and also bought P4 & P3. I have only 70hrs currently on P4 and I’m loving it so far, but nothing will make my cry, happy, disappointed, excited and or just put me through a roller coaster of emotions like when I first started with the phantom thieves. P5R will always and forever have special place in my heart for one my most favorite videos of all time.

@@harrylane4 3 wasn't as badly milked compared to 4. 4 still has been the biggest out of all of them. I loved 4 though, had all of the right things going on, the anime was better, the chemistry was better. 5 was good for some stuff but never hit that level I wanted like 4 did. I did prefer the level system for 5 and that they actually had the demons fight rather than shadows. I will say one thing though, I am not going to get any Persona games on release because they always release an extras version half a year down the line.
I never owned a Sony system, I’ve only had Nintendo, but I always wanted to play the persona series and I’m so excited I finally get to play it!

They are porting 3 portable and 4 golden though at least (that was part of the original reveal back in the direct these we’re revealed

This is one of the best jrpg I've played. I played it on both ps3 and ps4 and in both it crossed over 100 hours of gameplay. Cant wait to play in the switch.

Because I've given this game about 3 solid attempts to play from beginning to end, but I just don't have the time to sit down in front of my tv to play vids like I used to, and its a pretty long game. The Switch gives me more opportunities to play like on lunch break, taking the subway to work, or even when my gf is playing something. It was just a bad investment the first time around
For once i’m kinda glad there’s no preorder bonus, you can get this any time you want and still experience everything this has to offer
well there kinda is, there is a "1 more edition" that comes with all the previously released DLC as well as the standard steelbook, artwork etc that comes with special editions.

There's a steelbook with the launch edition which comes with the DLC here in Australia.

a few years ago I wanted to play this game a lot, but it wasn't available even on PC, so I borrowed the PS4 of a friend who was studying abroad. I borrowed it for a long time (specially because my brother wanted to play it too), returning it whenever he came back to the country and borrowing it again when he went abroad again. I guess that if I had waited until now I would have been able to play it more comfortably, but overall I think it was really worth it, the game is amazing and the strange way I played it kinda made my moments with it more special.

@@beakboi8960 Probably because the Switch is easier to carry around then a laptop typically for some people. And some people just aren't fans of PC gaming as a whole, but love gaming.

@@beakboi8960 I have Persona 4 on PC but my PC is a piece of crap that randomly shut down when I play certain games and unfortunately Persona 4 is one of them. So I got so frustrated losing progress in dungeons that I decided to just wait for the Switch version.

This game came out when quarantine hit my city and I quite literally played it for an entire month, racking up 186 hours in daily, back-to-back sessions. I played the original fully too, but Royal just hits different. Excited more people are going to be able to experience this gem. Savor the flavor yall!!!

The fact that Atlus can get this running natively on Switch but Square Enix and Capcom can’t do the same with their franchises just goes to show their dedication to the platform.

Hyped. This was the game that got me into jrpgs. Never liked turn based combat but the persona series made it so fun for me, hope more people give this a chance instead of looking at it as a generic anime game
