Can we just agree that this is some top-tier editing for the trailer. Ryuji swinging his bat transitioning to the batting range was such a perfect touch and the trailer as a whole was just super engaging, definitely worth a game as fantastic as this

Regardless of all the jokes we can make about “Persona 5 Fans Can Finally Play Persona 5 (Royal)” I think most of us can agree having this game become more accessible than ever on all these platforms so that virtually anyone can play it no matter the system they have is awesome to see

Been a Persona 5 fan since 2016 and now i can finally play it!
Plus in the Switch Version I'll be forced to hear the music unlike in PS4 when I could Spotify on with music that would match even more with what's going on. (Ryuji's Awakening - Thunder - Imagine Dragons, Bank Palace - It ain't about the money song, Tokyo Palace - What About Us - Pink, Final Palace Boss - Can't Hold Us - Macklamore Remix, Momentos - Disterbia - Rhianna, etc.) I swear one of these days I'm going to make an AMV version of this game with pop culture songs that fit the scenerio from an American's culture view point.

This still feels like a fever dream
This release was bound to happen sooner or later with Joker having been in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Persona 5: Strikers being on Switch already. Though the Xbox release of Royal was unexpected, as far as my predictions went.
@@GameBeatenakaKevinS For sure, my thing is that the lack of news for so long, the amount of people maintaining that it wouldn't happen, and Atlus being Atlus (releasing survey after survey asking if we wanted Switch ports) made it feel out of reach lol

Probably one of the best third party Switch conversions imo. Minus softer textures and a fuzzier look it's basically identical to PS4 and runs flawlessly. It also looks amazing undocked
It’s honestly as close to a perfect of a port as you’re going to get of the game on switch hardware, hopefully persona 6 comes to switch

minus running at 900p instead of the PS4's 1080p, everything else about the game is identical assets-wise. Well done I'd say

I can't really describe how beautiful this game is. This is one of the games that doesn't need to have realistic graphics to be beautiful.
Art-style over realism anyday. It's also why the likes of beautiful Zelda The Wind Waker and impressionism (favourite artistic painting style) Skyward Sword still holds up today :-)

This is my first persona game. Just started playing it after switch release and I can't deny it's addicting.

Thank you Atlus for letting the Persona franchise be available for the Switch. I never played Persona 5, or it's Royal edition, until a few days ago, and I am, so far, glad that I bought it for the Switch. I just hope that Persona 3 and 4 will be just as good as 5.
Don't get your hope to high for the 3&4. They are good games, don't get me wrong, but the gap between P4 & P5 is a 7y gap and you WILL feel it. The old games are less stylish, have less mechanics and (purely subjective there) worse songs than P5R.

Though this does make me wonder why they don't rerelease the original Persona or Persona 2. Are they bad? Or are they just not as memorable as 3, 4 and 5?
@@OmnicidalClown1992 I’m not sure if their bad (never played them) but P3 is the series first transition to 3D, introduced the social link/confidant mechanic, it’s most fans introduction into the series including me.
3 and 4 are both fantastic games. Yeah the game play is much more dated than 5, but the writing and characters are still top tier
@@OmnicidalClown1992 Persona 1 was the closest to a traditional SMT game and the Persona 2 duology was more of the same with small smatterings of what would come to define the Persona series from Persona 3 onward.
Its not a case of "old games le BAD", but rather the older Persona games being so far removed from what most people know the Persona series for in general (the social sim aspect) that it makes it all the harder to go back and play them.

Never played a Persona game, but the music in this game got me really interested in it back when Joker was added to Smash. I love the soundtrack to this!
Persona soundtracks have been straight fire since 3. I’d say that it was that and the social link aspect that really made this series blow up mainstream.
Persona isn’t anything revolutionary which hasn’t been done in other jrpgs before. Just done with such refinement and style that you can’t help but like it.

I've only ever owned Nintendo consoles, I have obviously never had the opportunity to play Persona 5 before so I'm OVER THE MOON happy that we finally got it for the Switch!!😭😊❤️

It still baffles me that people legitimately thought that Persona was too hardware intensive to run on switch. This is a ps3 game that was slightly visually enhanced for ps4 ofc it was gonna run

This game is really good
This is a story about a trapped boy who realised he was in a world that would rather conform than embrace the freedom that he so desperately craved.
When he tried to escape, he was thrown back into its dumps, the ones who tormented him found him, and he was trapped once again, seemingly forever, by the hands of the Director who never wanted any true happiness for him again.

Such an amazing port to the switch and to anyone getting into the series for the first time thanks to this game welcome and hope of you enjoy this that you check out some of the other games in the franchise if you have a 3DS I highly recommend Shin Megami Tensei IV and Devil Survivor 2 (soul hackers is also really good)

@@Sakaki_mp4 no... no it's really not. I love nintendo and I have a 1st edition switch. I even own a wii u and 3ds and a Gameboy advance. But switch is NOT a powerhouse and never has been. We are ready for a switch 2 and even if they make it ps4 level power it still won't be considered a powerhouse
