    I think you more showing what you are doing than "teaching". Would be really great if you slow down more the process, and try to explain just a little more. Thanks a lot of initiate this :)

    I never knew how to 'snap' verts in ZBrush (align them on the same plane). I loved how you just masked out all other verts, then used 'scale' to bring them all together!

    • @Michal.P.P.
      @Michal.P.P. Před 4 lety +1

      You can also use clip curve in ortographic view to snap all unmasked verts

      @@Michal.P.P. Thanks! I just got into ZBrush last year. (3D sculpting's my new hobby.) Funny, how I can grasp the larger concepts pretty quickly, yet still get hung up on something so basic!
      To be honest, it took me a while to figure out how to 'snap' in Blender. I was making the mistake of using the Gizmo to move instead of hitting 'G' then locking in an axis so I could move my cursor off to one side to cover the vert I wanted to snap to!

    Got some useful info for sure, but like Ronaldo said I was often going back to figure out what you did, as your words were skipping tasks that your hands were making, if that makes sense. Again very helpful overall, but I probably spent 2 hours on a twenty minute video due to all the time I spent looking for things that weren't explained.

    • @chrisz9345
      @chrisz9345  Před 4 lety

      I masked the points with the radial symmetry turned on. Turn on the symmetry mode by hitting X, then you can go to transform menu and click R under activate symmetry. Depending on the direction you are working on and the amount of faces you are dealing with, play around with the XYZ and radialCount .

    Made this in fusion360 in about 15 minutes, including the missing notches on the side. Then imported as a high poly obj. The problem with HS modelling in ZB is its not possible to be precise.

    • @captainfantastic3490
      @captainfantastic3490 Před 3 lety

      nobody cares about revolver and it has a simple animation. It just rotate, so you just need to lower the polygon count with decimation master or whatever, Automatic UV in Maya, putting it into Substance Painter and texuring it and in the end, give it to the level designer for the simple rotation animation!!!

      ok so you have to get a rect mask -draw over two points - reverse the mask. switch over to move mode and move the model... - not bad considering i never built anything with z-brush before - on with the tuts - hope to get to the end
