- A woman who was stabbed Monday morning on a Metro subway train before exiting in Studio City has died at a local hospital, officials announced. LAPD says it appears to be a random attack. KTLA 5's Rachel Menitoff has the latest.

@@cherryjubilee5201 I honestly don’t know. Guy was getting on and some guy was getting off and in an instant he was stabbed. The rest was just awful my friends and I were in our 20s but I remember people surrounding him and someone yelling to call paramedics.

The amount of gas lighting I receive on Instagram and Facebook from proud Metro riders is astounding. If you try posting a comment under the Metro page saying anything remotely opposed to praising Metro for their services, you will be shouted down by people who have totally drank the cool-aid saying things like, "ITS NOT THAT BAD!! IVE BEEN RIDING FOR YEARS, ITS FINEEEE, THESE STORYS ARE EXAGGERATED!"

Problem with news is they state a crime without giving reference to rest of crimes in city for perspective. So it makes the reported crime look scarier than what may be warranted. It's like reporting a plane accident so people get afraid of flying but there are tons more car accidents which aren't reported so people think it's safer to drive.

I am someone that catches the metro frequently with my child and let me tell you that these trains are so disgusting. There are homeless people just doing drugs smoking in the trains. There’s no police presence there are security but if you tell them something, they just tell you to call the police or file a report or something like that, they changed all the way around so now you have one that goes from LA or way to Santa Monica that was really bad. Just know when that goes from Long Beach all the way to Asa that was even worse and no securities at all with all these homeless that they don’t even pay for.

I take the train from Universal City station all the time it was probably black people that attacked the women they are the ones you have to watch out for but situational awareness is very important and I always carry a knife and know where people are around me don’t get caught sleeping.
