U have to advance timing and do linkage syncI've 20 hp evinrude '74 was have the same problem
you know its running lean, right? turn low speed needle counterclockwise just a little bit. will clear up.
Thanks. That was the first startup after a carb strip down so it still needed a bit of adjustment.
