Dying City… Criminals Take Back NYC’s Subway

- Crime has spiraled out of control in the NYC Subway, to such an extent riders are scared and staying away. The NYPD is now trying to take back the subway, and they're starting by arresting fare evaders... is this a good strategy?

It took 30 years to clean up the city, then 4 years to become more dangerous than it ever was.
EXACTLY. But hey, it's only take 4 years to clean it up again, right?
Yawn…. Stop. The media u listen to is cancerous
More like 12 years…. It started with two terms of William DeBlasio (if you live here or near here you would know)….
Was it really clean 😂😂
Waaait, “stopping fare evaders lowers other criminal activity” Whadda a Great Idea! Too bad Mayor Giuliani didn’t think of that 🤔 Oh, he DID and New York City had a decade of unparalleled PEACE & PROSPERITY!
Then the Soviet Democrat Party got voted back into power (after Bloomberg kept the same “broken windows” policies) and they turned the whole city back the the SH*T of the 70/80s but WORSE because even those Democrats didn’t follow the George Soros practice of “catch & release” it’s only a question of how many people LEAVE as it gets worse and worse because anyone who wants to make NYC will be prosecuted by the DA’s office for Trumped up Crimes!
They get released anyway. Those judges allow serious criminals to walk. This is empty talk from the politicians. When there’s no punishment rules mean nothing.
Yup Rinse and repeat continue to make money in and out of court with court fees keep them in jail That comes out of our tax money SMH
People were all over the streets with Fentanyl Floyd, but not over this. People are cowards.
Facial recognition is the goal, crime is the excuse, that's why they let it go rampant, so you beg for their high tech control like they have in China. No need for discussion.
Until & unless a majority of voters in NYC moderate their politics ("woke"), the problems will continue. Extremist "progressive" biases are making NYC corrupt & non-compassionate
The Judges came from the Old Ringling Brothers Circus along with the Mayors and City Managers.
They are always asking the wrong question.
"How do we live together with sociopaths? "
The question shoukd be.
"How do we eliminate sociopaths?"

Remember, you can't defend yourself with a firearm in nyc but all those criminals sure can.
Blame ur politicians and those who believe the crap they say about firearms!
@DynamiteBigB, yep but apparently if you're a Democrat "elitist" like EJ Carroll falsely accusing former Prez Trump (she said on CNN "It was never about sex, Trump never touched me!" but Trump's lawyers were NOT ALLOWED to show that video in court) and during the trial in NY you stupidly open your mouth and say, "I have an unlicensed firearm in my possession!!", you can "...possess that firearm illegally and the Police just take the gun and nothing happens to you." Whereas ordinary citizens would be facing jail time. Typical of trash Democrat "two-tiered justice."
The Democrats and Joe Biden want to make sure criminals have the illegal guns but don't want law abiding citizens to have one
But 99% of these crimes are being committed by illegal guns..
Apparently illegal aliens can too.

I left NYC because of the subway safety, general safety, and everything was extremely expensive. I have zero desire to visit NYC ever again. Especially when Hocol lets in illegals and does not prosecute criminals.

448,000 people didn't pay today... that's almost $1.3 million USD PER DAY of lost revenue. And the MTA has the balls to say they need $15 from every working person driving a car? These people aren't even using the train and paying the fare FIVE TIMES.
People who steal, fight and murder ride the train for free, while taxpayers who are actually contributing to the economy, foot their bill.
You don't have to wonder why the city is losing its educated middle class, and only receiving homeless, jobless migrants as newcomers. You can back these up with numbers. NYC lost 500k permanent residents since the pandemic.
The policies we have emboldened our legislators to support are ruining our quality of life, across the board.
Driving the middle class out of NYC is part of the agenda i.e. a massive brain drain. A 2 class system - You're either rich or poor, there'll be no inbetween anymore. The poor will be more dependent on the government (i.e. the welfare system) the unemployed in particular. It's about fear, obedience and dependency.

Facial recognition is not the only technology that can work. If criminals were actually punished for their crimes, that would work. A problem is always created (the problem being not punishing bad behavior) for government to enact more control, in this case, face recognition on the subway.
I don't live in NYC or ever plan on visiting but I LOVE THIS channel.
At this point you wonder what is the justification for the incredibly High rents in a city that doesn’t even protect It’s own residents?
Close to business headquarters and artificial housing scarcity
Because it's a celebrity tourist trap just like L.A. They pull people in with the number of famous people that pass through and sell people on the dream of being able to "make it big." Stupid people are their own worst enemy
People still want to live there for whatever reason. It's the law of supply and demand. During the pandemic when people were leaving rents dropped, now it's the opposite.
There is no justification. If they can charge the price and people pay that becomes the norm.
It's called willingness to pay and landlords use that to gauge how high they can run their profit margins higher.
The landlords are not the problem, they are mostly victims of the voters who vote for the incompetent government so long as the politicians promise to solve problems by making someone else pay.
In Japan, where I live, you jump the turnstile you’ll get arrested wherever you get off. They have loads of hidden CC cameras here and when they catch you they prosecute heavy. Make consequences relevant again.

Thanks from BKK for the interesting content 👍
I think the, “Iron Maidens”, can be used very effectively to capture and detain both fare-beaters and more serious criminals. They have to be used not as the exit turnstiles, but, the entrances. However, They can be used for exit also to prevent criminals from leaving the subway platforms after committing crimes.
Any kind of data processing/reading equipment can be installed in the “Iron Maidens”. There can also be restraining equipment installed so the criminals are literally trapped between the “Iron Maiden” bars. That would be upon their entering or exiting the platform area. Those “Iron Maidens” are excellent potential criminal catchers. They can be technologically controlled any number of ways, including remotely, but, most conveniently by the personnel in the ticket booths who have the clearest understanding of what is going on.
Brilliant. Which is why it will never be allowed!
So NYC is slowly going back to Mayor Giuliani’s policies when he turned the city around in the 90’s. But shhhh - don’t admit he was right about his broken windows policy.

Our city is not anywhere in the same galaxy as how terrifyingly insane this dude makes it out to be. He's one of these freaks who lives here and yet hates the city and those who live here.
And he brushes off the $3 cost of riding the train as if everyone is making enough money to ride a bunch of times all day long! Just the cost of commuting every day if not subsidized by your job as my husband's job does, is a LOT.
Finally, this dude is pushing the "Broken Windows" idea hard despite it being shown to be punative only to racial minorities and not actually beneficial. And fare evasion is NOT a direct connection to other crimes.
He is NOT a scholar of urban planning, politics, psychology, or anything except pushing his own agenda of making money.
Honestly, I think he needs psychiatrist care for how scared he is all the time. If I saw him on the subway all breathless and worried and shouting about danger, I would move myself and my kids away from him!
New York City is becoming Gotham City more and more everyday.
WHERE'S BAT MAN. THROW THE BAT SIGNAL.
Lots more people steal rides on the buses than the train stations. They simply board the front of the bus and walk past the OMNY reader, the farebox, and the bus operator, then march down the aisle for seats and standees. Yes, fare evasion is stealing a ride.
I understand about people who don't pay train fares. A friend once offered me a "funny cigarette". I should never have taken it. Now I'm facing four charges of Homicide, three of Cannibalism and two of Necrophilia. Damn "funny cigarettes"
Get out of NYC while you can Cash! Be safe please.
No! Stay in NYC! They will bring the voting habit with them and ruin other areas!
They need to stay there! Cash should leave. The others no.
Yes please get him to leave the city I’m begging for it
Xiaoma has left.
But then I won’t have his videos to watch at breakfast
Y’all VOTED for this!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yep, and read through the comments. Very, VERY few seem to get it at all.
@@LV4EVRboggles my mind that the side in power is literally destroying the country intentionally and majority of Americans will still vote for them. Make it make sense
If voting made a difference they wouldn't let you do it
@@glennbeadshaw727 I can assure you, NOT voting makes a difference. Don't be THAT part of the problem.
I reiterate my previous comment
nyc subway losing 700 million?
Here in Toronto we’re losing around 250 million last year and we also had crimes and assaults happening that year too but now it’s calmed down for now
One of the earliest signs of the collapse of a country is when average people start disobeying insignificant laws. Like speeding, running lights and stop signs, fare evasions on subways. It represents the unraveling of cohesion and mutual understanding. The problem is much bigger than they're letting on. NYC seems to be a stones throw from full on anarchy. If I had to bet, it's by design. To the average person like you and me, we just worry about our own little day to day lives, getting some good food, watching a funny movie. There are some people, however, who fully invest their time into schemes to garner some form of power... all the big dogs are after it... even religion. Politics, the way it is set up in America, is a filtration process for those sorts of people. Odds are insanely high that any given politician, no matter how well they may publicly hide it, are infatuated with the idea of personal power. Case in point, what happens when you ask a genuine, intelligent, humble person who would make an amazing leader if they want to run for office? 9 times out of 10 the good person is going to decline because they don't see themselves in that way, despite being the exact type of person that everyone will look up to. On the other hand, you have the actual politicians who will take massive endorsements from companies who don't care about you to lie to you and talk down on everyone running against them.. it's quite the spectacle. All of this is to say, of course the NY leaders don't care about you. Of course they want profit and power. And they're going to get it because... sit down for this... the problem is the people, not the leaders. It's why we see the same thing happening all over the place, its why this entire situation happened in the first place... people can't see 2 feet in front of them and immediately go for the things that sound good at surface level without putting any degree of thought into it... then it backfires and we end up here with legal murder. People are too gullible. There will always be a bad guy... always. Always. It is the average persons responsibility to identify those actors as there is literally no way, even if all ethics and laws were ignored there is no way to get rid of all bad people. Gullibility is their weapon of choice and that defensive responsibility falls on the individual... which unanimously failed in a most spectacular fashion... it'll be written about for decades, our society wide failures. It's the people. It's always the people who enable and endorse this. And look how far the "leaders" were willing to take it... importing foreign criminal networks while decriminalizing crime. But yeah, the NY leadership cares about your well being. I called this in to the department of homeland security many years ago and that was the moment that I realized all of this is intentional. I was a tip top of my class for a Homeland Security degree, trained by professionals to identify threats like this, and when I find the biggest one of our time and report it early they send officers to my house who threatened to arrest me. We're on our own.
No need for a College essay. We all graduated with a mayor in Political Corruption Degree. lol
It's been that way since Lincoln was shot for violating the constitution, and they went after the people exercising their right to do so.
What did they say they would arrest you for? I can see them being dismissive, because they can't do anything about it, but that's wild, threatening arrest.
Yes, as soon as they used covid to see how gullible we were. Man, we really failed the test. Masked, locked ourselves up, and got every toxic jab.. some of us anyway fell for it.
I like the way you think and how clearly you see the world. Could you recommend some books for me to read?
"Pardon one offense, and you encourage the commission of many more." Publilius Syrus
Its a great place to practice your situational awareness, escape and evasion, combat skills, weapon disarming and de-escalation on the way to work.
Congestion Pricing. Who gets the money? The governor, the mayor, living off the taxpayers.
I work as a bus driver for a company called greyhound, and they made us all take a mandatory seminar that was pretty much a 4 hour lecture on how we will get fired if we refuse to drive a bus with the intent of "migrant dumping". We even had politicians get on stage telling us that we were the "Angels of America", but in reality, i feel guilty when i see a news report of migrants doing terrible things to american citizens.
I feel a responsibility to stand up and do something, but i know i will lose my retirement/pension if i do. Just last week a migrant urinated all over the inside of the bus I was driving because they were upset that they had to sit on the floor for the 4 hour ride (we were only 25 min in to the drive). We had another case were the migrants were "taking turns" on a woman while her husband collected money from everyone waiting their turn (this happened at the back of the bus where they had used bed sheets at the center of the bus to block the driver's veiw of what was happening back there.)
Im not suprised these people behave this way. A female driver once had to drive a "migrant bus" and she refused to do so after seeing that 2 children were visibly pregnant. She called the police, and ended up losing her job over it. When the children were interviewed, they said that they were in their 20's, even though they were somewhere between the ages of 8 to 12 (driver showed us a photo that she took). Un-suprisungly the motherbof the two girls was pregnant as well.,,.
I don’t think a lot of people genuinely understand how ignorance/culture differences impact the lives of USA citizens.
If they say you can't refuse to drive migrants busses, maybe drive the busses to the upper-middle class neighborhood and offload there where people making $150K+/yr who overwhelmingly support all this "humanitarianism" and "vote blue not matter who" can get a taste, since those are the people whose voice seems to matter.
OMG we have to save ourselves by getting Biden/Harris OUT of OFFICE. I can't believe how depraved some people are.
Wow that is hard to even read, Im sorry your stuck in that situation.
That's crazy. Politicians from what state or city told you to do it? Oh- an 8 year old can't get pregnant unless she's had early puberty which is rare, but a 12 year old can, some 11 year olds, 10 year olds it's more rare.
What kind of driver lets people curtain off part of the bus or block their view of people? Men could be gang-raping someone, covering their mouth or at knife or gun-point.
An entire generation taught they are entitled to basic necessities, and that other people should pay for it all. No wonder many of them don’t feel they have to pay.
In the uk, we have a dedicated police force, for policing transportation called British Transport Police or BTP for short. New York could do with something like that for the New York metro.
Look at the tourist touching the pole 4:02 😂
7:46 but believe it or not but an mta work got arrested for fare evasion 😂
Get rid of the Gov, the Mayor, the Attorney General, the DA. Oh, but we all have to go after Trump, we're too busy to help New Yorkers!!!
Trump made Hurtful Tweets, which in New York, is apparently a felony with jury trial.
I wonder if NOT releasing criminals from prison would also prevent crimes from happening? 🤔
Yeah but ya' gotta lock 'em up first
@@sgardy69 They've been locked up lots of times and released....... over and over again.
It was always a crap hole. My truck was robbed every time i went into the city.
Thank you, New York. You’re making Florida great
I'm from Texas and enjoy seeing this more as he has quality journalism. As well as thought around this issue.
They punish Good Samaritans, make it a crime to defend yourself, keep a DA that says criminality is a human right, FNYC
NYC continues to vote for Democrats. Predictable results. Same in other Democrat cities. Seems they'll never learn.
We’ve had this in London for well over a decade now
The iron maiden gates are fine but they arent going to occur much because emergency exits for strollers are a must so theres always a way the same criminals fare evading will just pay and still have their weapons if anything so a mix of gun detectors may be more needed
Keep shining a light on NYC woes. Eventually, the people will push back and things will change. Problem is...how long will this take and how bad will it get?
The Democrats can import more voters than they lose.
It will take a very long time. New Yorkers are usually very self-absorbed. They don't do anything unless it affects them directly. They will wait until they are assaulted, or one of their relatives gets murdered, then they will blame the police for not doing enough. And forget them changing their voting habits. NYC will continue to vote Democrat until the end of time. The fact that Rudy Giuliani was elected is a miracle really.
Protection racket, plain and simple.
1. Withdraw your ability to protect yourself thru prosecution and regs.
2. Release criminals thru bail reforms.
3. Charge money to protect you from crime.
far from the truth you are sweetheart. Try being smarter again.
And still they wont protect
Party true but it’s all about property values. No matter though disaster of one type or another is looming for NY
Anyhow.
@@carlcarlssen4299 This is how organized crime gets started and organized crime will force people to pay for protecting so yes, it's a protection racket for somebody. Far from reality you are sweetheart. No one who has ever said sweetheart has meant it in any other way than demeaning. Try being less of an asshole.
@@carlcarlssen4299 What is the truth?
Coming from a New Yorker, even the average Joe with no criminal history is hopping the train. Fares keep increasing and nothing changes. This is the least of NYCs worry.
