Very Nice and pleasant tutorial !
For new Blender users they have to take into account that since Blender version 3.2 +, several functions used in this video, have been changed, removed or renamed ( no more Vertex Colors panel, but Color Attributes, no more Vertex Colors Attribute node , but Color Atribute node , etc..)
Thank you so much for this video. I was trying to figure out how to do vertex painting for a long time, but thanks to your video I finally managed to get all the pieces of the puzzle together 🥰
Its really cool how you make complicated topics seem so simple!
I love your way of teaching 😍 huge gratitude to you
Great tutorial Aram. Thanks so much!
Hi Aram, thanks for sharing your wonderful work! As a long time Blender user, I've yet to dive into sculpting and videos such as yours inspire me to take the leap 😄🙏
Instead off go back to object mode for select an other part, you can press ALT + Q by passing the mouse over the part you want to select ;)
The functionality name is transfer mode.
awesome tut thanks! ✌️💘
OMG! I love your model. Thanks.
love it...need more tutorials on this also on cloths ...!! Thanks

Thank you Aram nice tutorial lady..:)
You’re welcome😊🌸
Nice
In love with your videos. Thank you. Can you please make a full character sculpting (including retopo)? May be a course in Udemy? I will be the first one to buy! 😊
thanks so much! i think i saw you in one of the groups I am in. :)
Very well! You’re welcome🌸😊
Thankyou so much love from India 🇮🇳❤️

Thanks!😊👍
done : )
I was thinking - "How does Yan Sculpts paint his characters without uv mapping?!"🤔
And now I know!😈 Great tutorial! Thank you!
Wow, I never knew you could do this. Thank you. Question: Can you bake vertex paint to textures?
This is great! Thank you! Can you make a video about UV unwrapping and painting please??
Thanks! Sure😊🌸
thank you so much for this tutorial. and i need to figure out how to seperate a sculpted mesh body into parts, and then paint them. should i use mask or anything else? please i need your professional help. thank you again.
Nyc, friend!
Thank you! 😊👍
Thank you again. I need to know why ypu add subdiv Modifier ??
Hi Aram. How high was your poly count for this model? Is it best to use vertex paint with high poly, and texture paint for low poly models?
Thanks for this! Do you recommend to decimate the sculpt first before vertex painting? With dense sculpts, vertex painting slows down Blender that's why I polypaint in Zbrush.
Yes, it’s better to do that👌
@@AramTorkanArt Thanks Aram
oh my god. I trying use de maping UV for colloring mi work but for me is so dificult "I don´t understand this metod" I was trying to find a tutorial for learning how colloring. Tahnk you, This video is so helping. I hop mi PC don´t explote in the process.
Hi ! while watching the tutorial Iv'e been wondering : Is retopology necessary for vertex paint ? Or you can just paint over the high poly mesh? great video by the way !
I did this without retopology! You can paint using vertex paint without it👌
@@AramTorkanArt That's really usefull thanks !!
@@AramTorkanArt that asset can use for game asset? is it recommendable even high poly?
Great video! What program did you use?
Thanks! Blender👌🌸
ohhh for blender
I was wondering what's the difference between vertex and texture paint? Can you jump in between and use both? Also, do you recommend rendering in eevee or cycle for stylized character animation?
the difference is that texture painting require to set UV Map on your model.. meanwhile vertex paint doesn't..
And that vertex paint is way less resource heavy.
Wow 10k Subscribers. ❤
👍😊
In Blender I could place lights like you do towards the end of this tutorial. But the aim was not a render, but a bake of those lights : IN the vertex color information. Which was an amazing option. when hand painting's done, to add very cool lighting details, that could later be baked on a low poly version.
Do you know if the effect of those lights that you place, can somehow be added to the vertec color info ?
I got a nice bump material on my character skin. Is it possible to vertex paint over it, like some war stripes below eyes, without losing the skin material?
How vertex color work?
I've been kinda stuck here for days, and not really sure, I've created a 3d sculpt, but how did you seperate your eyes? this seems it would be very necessary for me because I'm trying to pain certain features on my model a metallic texture, or a gloss for exoskeleton. totally lost on painting.
can i do retopo and bake vertex paint then?
what specifications have do your pc, please. Thanks .
Beautiful eyes.. mmm her eyes looks like yours.. did you do it on purpose?
thanks! No I didn't😃
How would I manage to color the eyelashe paths? I can't join them, and I can't UV unwrap them.
hi Aram, can u do a tutorial of full male and female stylized characters ? please🥰🥰🥰🥰
When I try what Aram did at 1:00 I can't see any lighting at all. I tried opening up the default scene but that confirmed that my viewport shading and rendering shows no lighting on the objects. So it's not something I did. The object is gray with absolutely no shading, and when I render an image it shows as a transparent object.
0:35 no need for UV mapping great for quick sculpts made for illustration paintings
Hello, I love your channel! When I vertex paint, my strokes are pixelated on the face, is there any way to fix it?
You need more vertecies. Think of the mesh as the canvas and the vertexies as pixels. The more subdivision you have the more pixels . So less blocky drawings
@@victoristratevmi but then it will be super laggy to vertex paint - what should i do?
Hlo why I cant paint on my face under eyes and lips..its laggy ..but when i use shift k for whole painting its works smoothly ..plzz explain iam struck here
Hi, I have a doubt
In the material editor when I press Shift + A, Vertex Color does not appear
Hi. I tried the vertex painting for my skin but the colour isn't bold and strong like the rest. I don't know what could be wrong.
I am questioning about when j ever u draw in 1 eye the other eye mirrors how do u do that and I am sorry it it's a stupid question I am still learning blender 😅
how to wink at this character can you please make a video for it 🙃
god
How much poly does the head or head and bust together have?
it's a high poly mesh, it's just sculpting, after that you should retopologize for animating👍
@@AramTorkanArt I ask how much exactly, cause I know that vertex paint is incredibly slow on high poly no matter what the hardware I use.
I have one of the most modern hardwares and it doesn't change anything a lot. I'd prefer sculpt vertex color mode then.
Why not using vertex paint in sculpt mode? It's pretty fast.
I have alot of questions about this. Is there any way to contact you?
Where u from?
love from Bangladesh
I’m from Iran, welcome🌸😊
Why you were rendering in cycle using CPU? You should switch to GPU compute for faster render
why didn't you use Texture Painting and Vertex Painting vs Texture Painting...?
didn't you notice that huge lag due to vertex painting this ?
Yeah what were seeing here is not the new and improved "sculpt vertex paint" that doesn't have lag.
@@Mocorn Couldn't you just use texture paint ? 🤦♂️
Even I found it amazing as there is no lag when doing a vertex paint. Don't know her hardware spec
Thanks

@@stana1980 the liar of the year 👏
@@hameddesign70 Friend what I mean is I am amazed by the way her pc handles the vertex paint mode with out any lag. I assume that it might be a high end PC. The vertex paint mechanism mode lags on my pc.
Thanks

Please, stop ''just like this'' i gonna cry ;-;
Nice
