    Very Nice and pleasant tutorial !
    For new Blender users they have to take into account that since Blender version 3.2 +, several functions used in this video, have been changed, removed or renamed ( no more Vertex Colors panel, but Color Attributes, no more Vertex Colors Attribute node , but Color Atribute node , etc..)

  • @edgarallanyee
    @edgarallanyee Před 2 lety +3

    Thanks for this! Do you recommend to decimate the sculpt first before vertex painting? With dense sculpts, vertex painting slows down Blender that's why I polypaint in Zbrush.

    In Blender I could place lights like you do towards the end of this tutorial. But the aim was not a render, but a bake of those lights : IN the vertex color information. Which was an amazing option. when hand painting's done, to add very cool lighting details, that could later be baked on a low poly version.
    Do you know if the effect of those lights that you place, can somehow be added to the vertec color info ?

    When I try what Aram did at 1:00 I can't see any lighting at all. I tried opening up the default scene but that confirmed that my viewport shading and rendering shows no lighting on the objects. So it's not something I did. The object is gray with absolutely no shading, and when I render an image it shows as a transparent object.
