Cool, in my country there are some people who do this and they reverse the odometer since it's legal here (romanian law does not state any punishments for odometer tampering) and they try to hide the fact it was hit and make a lot more money.

thats messed up. usually you can tell if the mileage has been tampered with if you check the carfax and it saids like 70k mikes back in 2020 but then 2024 it goes to 50k miles Big Red flag. people here do it too. never bought one that had the issue. but to be honest good for th seller because he made however much more , but that is messed up.
