Tesla MODEL Y Lowest Price EVER: Buy Now or Wait?

- Tesla is offering a 0.99% financing only on Model Y’s and only for a limited time. Right now, owning a Model Y is cheaper than it has ever been.
With the Model Y being the best selling vehicle in the world, and at its new lowest price ever, it may seem like a no-brainer to purchase one.
However, with a potential Model Y refresh (project Juniper) on the horizon - some people may want to hold out for something potentially better.
Personally, we love our Tesla Model Y and we are happy we didn’t wait for the Model Y refresh!

UPDATE: Tesla hates me. The second I published this video, they raised the 72 month loan option from 0.99% to 1.99%.
The 60, 48, and 36 month options still remain at 0.99%.
Wow that must of just changed! I wonder what this means as theirs still 10days left? Some kind of ceiling point had to of been reached. Still 5 years at nearly zero is very rare
Or this could be a tactic to ramp up sales as they demonstrate as if the deal is slipping away.
@@Emma-33 literally posted the video, went on X, and saw “breaking news” from sawyer 🙄
@@vegasteslafamily haha that’s wild
Makes me enjoy my 2023 M3 rwd more and more!
These deals are incredible! 👍👍👍
Hard to pass up!
Looks good!!
Thank you!
New model 3 suspension & quiet features are a HUGE improvement over old 3/ current Y. If you don't like the harsh ride /road noise in cabin,... wait. (but go test drive new 3 yourself, just to compare & confirm).
There is still some uncertainty about coming future batteries also, and they might also lose $7.5k tax credit, so... some risk there.. (though might also get more advanced/faster charging batts ? but $7.5k is a big price hit)
but, as noted, hopefully by time those details & timing are confirmed for Juniper refresh, there would still be bunch of inventory w/ deals you could grab then too... just have to be quick to get before run out.
If you like signal etc stalks, then buy the current one, before refresh loses it :)
These are really good points. True there’s no guarantee the Model Y refresh has the $7500 tax credit!
Picking up my MYP on Saturday at the .99 APR.
Let’s goooo congrats!
I played around with the #s and I was confused, maybe I missed it, but is the monthly payment the probable savings amount or the financing amount?? Because I’m seeing $400 probable and that’s not bad at all.
The financing. Sometimes the savings amount takes gas savings into account. You might have to set the gas price to like $0. It’s silly, but yeah
So sad I can’t afford one right now. I just started my new career as a Mortgage Loan Originator. So I plan on buying one as soon as I can since I need a new car, but I’m gonna miss the .99% APR
Congrats on the new career! You’re going to help a lot of people.
The time will come!
Do you guys have seat covers on your model y? I'm having a hard time getting some for my 24 model y. Please help!!!
Yeah we do! There’s a link in this description with our accessories including the seat covers we use. They’re cheap on Amazon and easy to take off. We just use them after the gym - they’re not stylish or anything like that but super convenient
I'm about to play Tesla Roulette. Went to test drive the SR RWD Model Y today figuring they're going to slash the price soon for clearance. It was great (It's basically just another Model Y) but just for me lacked that punch when you hit the gas. We have a Long Range and it's crazy fast. The Performance is the ultimate, but I think the Long Range is the sweet spot.
Sales guy told me this: If you put in an order by May 31 you can get 0.9 (or 1.9 for 72 now looks like) and they can stall your delivery a couple of weeks. So I'm putting $250 on a Long Range the very end of March to see if the price goes down. If it does, at least according to the sales guy, I get the finance rate AND the discount. Lots of ifs there but I'm giving it a shot.
If this is true, this is the way. Unless they keep raising from 0.99 to 1.99 to 2.99 🙄
Des NEEDS one dude
What’s she waiting for?
I just placed an order, but I'm waiting to see what they offer for my trade-in. Does anyone know how long it takes Tesla to give you a final offer?
Nice congrats! I don’t know how long it takes, but I’d get a few offers elsewhere too. Driveway gave me about 4k more for my Kia than what Tesla was offering me.
It took one day for them to give me an offer on my trade. If you have a negative equity, they will NOT finance it for you. They will ask you to pay off the difference. They respond to you within a day or two. Since tesla doesn't have sales people who work on commission, they usually can't answer your question about upside down trades or what to do next. I almost bought myself a model Y, too. I had a delivery date and even arrived there to pick it up, but bmw called me 20m before my delivery time and was more competitive for me.
You can text a person at tesla once they text you, but they don't respond for days sometimes. The reason I chose a model Y is bc I couldn't resist that .99%. It also seems their qualifications seem much easier than other places. Good luck with your car buying!
Do it now! It will be expensive, so do this now!
Sure!
Waiting for a CyberTruck discount
I think you’ll be waiting a long time for that one. But same
Why would you park $5-$10k down on vehicle? Specially when the financing is at .99%
Trade in. Just showing examples
The only but for me it is the cost of the insurance,. $300+ per month in California.
I’ve heard that in a few of these comments. That’s crazy.
I have geico, I'm in San diego. It's only 132 a month for me. 300 is a lot!
@@Tominori70 Im in the Bay Area, I requested a quote online from AAA, $350 per month!! I didn’t talk with an agent anyway.
6 years finance is long time LoL ,,,not taking account into the Auto insurance cost, 4 x tires for every 20 months (long range dual motor) ..etc a lot $$$ vs Hybrid Toyota or Honda ,,,who would be winning :)
50k miles later ours is still safely on original tires. And we pay less for insurance than our old Honda civic.
But you go!
arnt you winning the longer you drag ? the money is more valuble in the future, so you are still not paying interest - so with inflation and adjustments, you should be paying more back for your car even though car itself is a depreciating asset. save the cash always, the longer you drag these things, the better you are !!
auto insurance is cheaper - SAFEST CAR on the planet.. and no oil changes, not brake fluid checks, those run in thousands over a course of 1-2 years depending on how much you drive.. also gas !!! its a volitile market, shit is happening in middle east, so dont be surprised to see 5-6 $/gallon suddenly
Your numbers don’t include taxes and fees
This is true. Different in every state, wanted to keep it simple
Was going to purchase itat 72 months but them raising the interest convinced me not to. Saved me from an impulse buy
Honestly such a bad look on Tesla to say it’s good still end of month and then pull that
they are not offering to every1, we try getting but they didn't get that
Is it to do with credit score?
@@vegasteslafamily nope I have 8..something
@@jazzjazz4765 interesting. I have no idea why. That’s frustrating sorry
Great deal but ill wait til Juniper before i upgrade
Can’t wait for it!
.99% no more on 72 months , it's now at 1.99% for 72 months
Yep! Literally the second after I posted this video. I commented and pinned it to clarify
Can someone tell me why I should buy a car from an AI and Robotics company? I am seriously on the fence now. Elon is on record that the direction of Tesla is NOT for end user owned vehicles. Oddly enough, that is all Tesla sells. They don't sell robots or robotaxis. It sounds like Elon (and thus Tesla itself) really does not want to sell cars. If they did, they would be talking up the refresh of the Y, not announcing the announcement of the robotaxi. I wonder if the "Juniper" refresh is also dead. Tesla seems to be dog paddling, waiting for what exactly?
I remember when I bought my first Tesla.. it was a pre 40,000 vin and I have heard so many negatives, back then "what will you do if the company doesn't survive" In 6 years from my model S to my Model Y, I have never been to a gas station other than to get a soda, use the bathroom and clean my windows. I never had an oil change, my Model Y has never been to the service center and I am nearing 40,000 miles. .. whatever about the "direction" of the company, Elon also wants to go to mars
There will be a huge market for both for the next 20+ years minimum.
If Tesla mentioned any official details on Juniper, it would be even harder to sell current Y’s
They have build up a company worth more than half a trillion dollars (briefly a trillion) selling cars. Even if Elon is looking to other things they still have one of the only long-term profitable car companies outside of China with the bestselling vehicle in the world as their flagship. They sell 2/3 of what all of General Motors sells in a year with only four factories making cars. Along with the energy, storage, AI, and robotics which people barely even think about but are growing very rapidly.
Why would they just shut that down? If you buy a car now their vision for 20 years from now really isn't all that important.
Obviously just my opinion, and yours is just as valid.
Best selling vehicle in the world? That is like the best selling hamburger in the world..... A big Mac is not all that great.
Good take!
