Im a Filipino living in Port Harcourt Nigeria for almost two years now and my Nigerian friend told me that if I able to survive in this country I will be able to survive in different parts of the world. Nigerian deserves a better life and the country itself is so good and very rich that it could possibly beat dubai or even america. There’s no extreme weather here no natural calamities and there are so many resources.

Nigeria has considerably more natural resources than the Philippines. Unfortunately, it suffers from poor governance and a larger population to support. It's no accident that many of the richest countries in the world have low birth rates. Lower your birth rate, and the Philippines can become richer. The Duterte era is a testament to good leadership making a difference, but he didn't do it alone. Filipinos shouldn't underestimate the help they're receiving from South Korea and Japan, but they should feel confident about the capabilities of the Filipino people. I think those countries care more about the Philippines than the US. You're right. Money isn't everything. As a Filipino American, all the material success that I have achieved means nothing if the Philippines isn't improving. The US is drunk on material success at the expense of freedom and stability. The Jolo church bombing in the Philippines by Muslim extremists was only 3 years ago.

And its not only in PH, you see ASEAN countries have pretty much same level of progress, we prosper as one region as our goal. Do you have any of that sort of assoc in Africa? As they say no man is an island I guess that applies to countries as well. That being said, the good roads and infra can also be attributed from the assistance from our rich neighboors such as Japan Korea China Singapore Taiwan so in a sense we are lucky we are sorrounded with these rich countries.

Yes. When Philippines was under Martial Law under President Ferdinand Marcos., from 1970's to 1986, Philippines was like Nigeria with problems in health, electricity, potholes, and criminality. But when democracy was restored after the peaceful people power revolution, the Philippines has become a country where Filipinos have peace of mind. Today, the president of the Philippines is President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. the son. The Marcos family was allowed to return to the Philippines and participate in the political arena under the democratic system. Bongbong Marcos was voted governor, then senator, and now president. But he was voted not because of influence, but because people recognized his accomplishments and his vision in a peaceful election. I can mention that his wife is a lawyer whose family was actually among the strongest supporters of Cory Aquino who brought down the Marcos rule and restored democracy. I think what makes the Philippines different from the other democracies in the world like the United States, politicians in the Philippines are not gauged by voters according to promises of how they will Make the Philippines Great Again, or if they will give tax breaks to the rich. Rather, they are gauged according to how they promise to make life better for the poorest of the poor. That is why even the poorest areas now how 24x7 electricity, public education, public health, good highways and concrete farm roads, drinking water, etc. You are right. There is still a lot of poverty in the Philippines. But Filipinos generally have peace of mind.

There is no need to argue or compare in finding the thruth, let's just refer to some indicators which are availanle and very reliable to see where a country is. For example: poverty rate by country, crime rate by country, literacy rate by country, life expectancy by country, hdi by country, etc. I'm wondering why Nigeria, despite of enormous size in area and population with much resources has a national budget of only N21.83T ($49B), a deficit of more than half (N11.34T), N6.31T goes to debt service and a foreign reserve of only $37B Pres. Buhari can do so much to keep his government running. It seems that his country is struggling right now. God bless Nigeria.

That really depends on how much caffeine you have in your system and how much more your body can take for the entire 24 hours. Yes, I believe it's the level of caffeine in our body that affects our sleepiness. I drink an average of 1.5 cups of coffee daily. I started drinking coffee only after I hit 30 years. These comparison videos are eye-openers for the common Filipino. Life is hard in the Philippines, and watching comparison videos makes us think what should be done better in the country. Sometimes, it’s because of collective insecurity that other SEA countries are doing better. Because we cannot change the system, we watch these to cope.

I've been to Lagos a few times and the road in Lagos leading to the airport terminal are unpaved. I cannot comprehend why it is a dirt road leading to the airport and then the taxi driver told me that the local official on that city where the road leading to the airport is not an ally of the president that is why the road is not funded by the national government to get asphalted. The problem is the Nigerian people because they are the one who voted this incompetent leaders in their country.

Philippines is more cleaner and nice and has a lot of tall buildings. Lots of tourist and beautiful beaches. I have some friends from Nigeria they are nice people. They talked about Nigeria is not a safe country to grow your kids. It’s not safe to walk in the street they kidnap you if they find out you have money they want ransom.

Hi! dont take this a hard feeling but, i guess this video isnt really good way for showing each of the countries status. actually if your making this comparison obviously the PHl.🇵🇭 is way far ahead than Nigeria. from the facilities, transportation, environment, infrastracture, cleanliness, advancement, well urban plan, number of tallest building stunning beaches, natural beauty of nature 7,641 island underrated modern cities, world call center capital no. of foreign tourist and ect. i guess these could be hard to nigeria to catch up one of this aspects. how much more if we compare everything in the philippines and nigeria in terms of life quality, economy, gdp per cap, literacy rate, opportunities and the last but, not the least The High HDI, PHILIPPINES🇵🇭 IS far far ahead than NIGERIA in fact you might be notice since your in the PHI. i didnt lookdown africa yet the best way is i think you should avoid comparing ASIAN countries in AFRICA they are way different. God bless,🙏
