Philippines and Nigeria is both a developing country but Philippines just developed at faster rate than Nigeria since our independence (40s for Philippines and 60s for Nigeria) but Nigeria in the future will develop too for the better. It may take decades and decades but one day there will be a world where all countries have at least a decent standard of living with no absolute poverty.

Philippines is still the best among the countries I went, when I went to Saudi Arabia, even if they have black Gold! I’m still thankful that I am Filipino with lots of privileges back home! I worked in Abu Dhabi and it’s the same thing! Now I am here in USA, the no 1 country in the World but.... But my goal is still to come home and retire in my home country! US is affluent yet you do t Inter act with neighbors, I can’t let my kids play outside without me wAtching them. Indeed they have organized government and all but there is something lacking! Christmas is full of decorations but I don’t feel the spirit that I feel when I was growing up in the Philippines and many more! That makes Philippines Great for me!!!

As a Filipino, I hate the prideful Filipinos in the comment box that are rude and hyper sensitive. Our country has a long way to go, and their attitude is not helping. In fact, if they listen to these type of videos, they should allow it to guide them, help them discern what the country is doing right, and what needs improvement. Then they should quitely contribute. Join community service, trash cleanups, spread climate change awareness. Actually let their actions express their patriotism, not f*kng have a melt down in the youtube comment section. Sorry Dorcas, I wish more Filipinos were like you. They need a reality check themselves. They should be grateful, factual, yet humbled. My goodness, I can't stand their hyper sensitivity

Just so you know Nigeria is huge ..but there are many places that combined have a much higher GDP per capita than Philippians..an example is Lagos..with quarter the size of the Philippians at 25 million people..it produces more per capita than the Philippians usd and has half the economy of the phillipeans..many other states in Nigeria have higher income per head namely ...oyo, edo, imo, ogun, delta, rivers etc all of these post above 3485 Philippians figure...Nigeria is huge so some places are like night and day...poor and rich
      medium.com/kingmakers/how-we-projected-the-gdp-for-states-in-nigeria-5ccc5e2c85f7
The economy of Nigeria is much larger than that of the Philippians but that is understandable given the population size...Nigeria is the 27th largest economy in the world this year..it was 20th at 2014 before the recession killed the economy of some states...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)
