This kind of tune and music composition is impossible to be repeated. These songs again and again prove how far ahead MSV was when compared to those who came after Him..Many others might have won awards abut none of them is comparable to Mannar in any way. That’s what I have been repeatedly writing that MSV REMAINS MA-MANNAR FOR EVER He cannot be compared with any of the musicians just because a particular committee didn’t have ears to listen to his highly valuable compositions it doesn’t mean that the composers came after him are genius
Dilip and Mythili, I absolutely agree. MSV was neither a music director nor a composer. He was a conductor in the highest sense of the term -- being a generous conduit for eternal, ethereal music to flow down from Bramalokam to Chennai....
MSV was far ahead for his period. MSV the great!
@@gragavan MSV the Maa Mannar, was far ahead of his time and is ahead even now...show me one MD or composer who can stand next to him and say he has given better tunes or songs than Him. No one can even stand next to him, except Ilayaraja.... (according to me to an extent which IR fans will strongly object to). That songs of 50s to 80s are still miles ahead in spite of poor recording, very poor maintenance of the records etc. How a song like Engé Nimmadhi is still to be bettered by anyone? Why still Rajavin Parvai is still the best?

But in the sense in which you have described, Mannar was a conductor ( like lightning conductor) of music from heaven to the mortals of this earth. Very true...
