Fun fact: In Thailand, Masked Rider was first introduced as " ไอ้มดแดง ", which translated to " the red ant". The reason behind this is that Toei, owner of Kamen Rider franchise, only sent a photo of Kamen Rider without any explanation. In the Thai advertisement team's eyes, the rider's big eyes and a pair of antennae on his head look oddly like an ant. And for Thai people, red ants are the ants with the most painful bite.
But in the end its super iconic and fitting in our language!

Probably because there's not that much to talk about past like hibiki besides, he's done history videos on almost all the heisei stuff so it made sense for him to be more in depth about showa.
Because he already made better videos about those shows
I like that the Rider usually gets his power from an evil source but uses it for good. I wish you had kept mentioning what the costumes were themed after some are more obvious than others.
That concept is called "Cross of Fire" as explained by Amadum in Wizard ep 52, I think

I started watching Kamen Rider Ex Aid again after about 3 years, and god it means so much to me. It’s my favourite season, and even though after Zero One I fell out, I’m back into the show now. Ex Aid was my first season of kamen rider and I’ll always have a special place in my heart for emu, hiiro, taiga, kiriya, kuroto and parado especially. What a great series

Showa Riders are so focused on Avenging people they know that they should've been named Avengers instead.
Which is amusing, because on the Super Sentai side, before it would become known as Super Sentai, there was an attempt to make a live-action Avengers series in Japan, starting with Spider-Man.
Not to mention that pretty much all of them are cyborgs

After years of being at the fringes of Tokusatsu, I recently made the plunge into finishing my first Kamen Rider series (Den-O is great so far!). This video is a really nice overview to see which seres I wanna watch next!

Wish you went over Zero-One and Saber a little bit but I understand the shows are too recent to cover. But I think some audience are confused about Revice lol. I'm kinda excited for Revice after an up-and-down ride with Saber but just the show is good and hope the middle is better than Zero-One's and Saber's.

@@bug.bugsssss555 yeah it’s really good! It’s a little faster paced than most rider shows but the action is really good. To me it’s as good as zero one and the heartfelt scenes and moments I think are better in Revice but I would watch the first 2 episodes to see how you like the show
@@zachnewton491 I think Revice trumps the other Reiwa shows so far, by a good bit. The family is such a great dynamic and the villains have been intriguing and depth filled.

zo is the first kamen rider i saw as a kid in dub way before power ranger debuted and at the moment hes still one of my favorite rider design
I'm sorry if this comment is going to be very long but I really have to get this off my chest and give myself somewhat a reflection
So I got into Kamen Rider when I found out about it after a watching gekiranger and me and my little brother found Kamen rider Den-o and finding out about this franchise I became a big fan of the franchise and this franchise really helped me become the person who I am today it's gotten me to be who I am but also it's more different territories and I got a chance to meet a lot of awesome people and meet new friends that have the same interests but also it gave me the knowledge to introduce tokusatsu to newcomers and helping them explore more of my interests this series really kept me close to my inner child, I have become a collector for Kamen Rider toys and I appreciate what this whole franchise has done for me and I can't thank this enough and I really hope that it never dies
Btw my favorite Rider series would be Ex-Aid, Gaim, and now saber and I would love to talk to more fans of the franchise and connect

After W beat them they still exist and move in shadow, X foundation sometime make cameo in other series. in movie "final heisei generation" this is last battle between Kamen Rider VS X foundation

Just a personal thing; whenever I hear Over Quartzer, I cringe as I'm reminded of my... less than flattering experience with Zi-O.

EDIT: I just want to say this, as I've seen several comments saying that they still enjoy Zi-O.
And you know what? More power to them. If they watched Zi-O and enjoyed it for what it was, that's absolutely fine; it's no skin off my nose if they liked it while I didn't. I can be incredibly stubborn regarding my opinions on fiction, but I can willingly concede when someone enjoys something that I don't or vice versa. So long as they don't try to lord their opinions over that of other peoples, I can at least respect that.

I thought it was alright.
For me its the opposite,everytime i hear i feel a feeling of nostalgia and joy,the show was bad written and all but still has an place on my heart in the happiness section.

I really liked Over Quartzer from the first time I listened to it in a trailer. I only realised much later that one of the artists also did the opening for Faiz, my most favourite rider opening

Man, that 70's Suzuki in Kamen Rider Amazon, I have one and it's such a distinctive bike. I wish there were more focus on the bikes given how the entire series feels like a guy rode a motorcycle in full safety gear and went, "man, I feel like a superhero in all this stuff... Heeeeey!" and then just did that.
