- This interview episode's guest is Sascha Gerstner - the guitarist and songwriter of Helloween. Sascha speaks about HELLOWEEN's 2021 new album "Helloween", The Pumpkins United World Tour, songwriting process with Kai Hansen, Michael Weikath, Markus Grosskopf and Andi Deris, and what it was like working together on the new Helloween album. *What do you think of the new Helloween album?*
A bit disappointed. There are many great tracks, but I don‘t like four out of the eleven tracks which is too much for such a comeback album. The choruses of Angels, Rise without chains, Cyanide and Down in the dumps are just too weak in my opinion. I had liked them to have left those four out and put Pumpkins united, Golden times and We are real in.
@@Heavymetaleternia I just got my copy of the new Helloween album last night. I have not yet listened to the songs that you mentioned as weak. I have only listened to the first four songs and of course Skyfall and love them big time. The expectations were extremely high since Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske returned. Hopefully I will get to listen to the rest of the album really soon. Skyfall so far is my favorite. It reminds of The Keeper Of The Seven Keys era which I love big time.

This guy was so young when he joined this band, and his writing style and playing just fit like a damn glove. Incredible musician.
He is an exceptionally talented guitar player and a wonderful songwriter!
I'm 52yo and love Helloween since the beginning in the 80's. This guy is such a gift for the band! He fits in also so fine. They're all having so much fun on stage, allways smiling and let the things look so easy. A great musician and agreat band!
As a fan of the band for the last 23 years, I don't understand why people say it's average. It's perfect. It belongs with the other 7 gems they have released (Walls of Jericho, Keeper 1 and 2, Master of the rings, Time of the Oath, Better than Raw and the Dark Ride.)

@@MetalPilgrim I had the opportunity to meet him a few days ago and man, he is amazing! He took pictures of my tattoo (his guitar) and I shared my story with him. He was very thoughtful and deep with his words. I loved every second of those 10 or 20 minutes talking with him. ❤

@@MetalPilgrim It's a protected archive on an external hard drive, essentially. I created the archive some years ago to protect some pictures and interviews that have since disappeared from the web.
